Leonardo Boutique Hotel Budapest M-Square

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Budapest M-Square, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked into the beautifully designed lobby, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. They allowed early check in for no additional cost. The level of service provided by the hotel's staff was truly outstanding. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's fantastic location. Situated in the heart of Budapest, it was within walking distance of many of the city's iconic attractions, including M-Square itself. I was able to explore the city with ease and return to the hotel whenever I needed a break. The attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Budapest M-Square are truly commendable. I can't say enough good things about this hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. My stay here was nothing short of perfection, and I look forward to returning in the future.

the hotel is neatly tucked into a great square where there are loads of bars/restaurants. it was very, very hot when we travelled and the air con was a life saver! rooms were finished beautifully, we had a standard double and it was more than big enough. in terms of transport, there is one of the main transport hubs out on the main road, where you can catch the metro, bus or tram. the airport 100E bus also stops here. walking to the main area where the equivalent high street is will take literally 5 mins - it’s just down the road!!!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was okay, and the heating was excellent. The hotel's location was outstanding, offering easy access to the airport bus, metro, and the old city center, all within a 1-5 minute walk.

However, there were some drawbacks. The breakfast was good, but not excellent, and the area where breakfast was served was uncomfortably cold. Another issue was quite bothersome: at 1 AM, the fire alarm went off because someone took a too-long, high-temperature shower. It seems unreasonable for such an incident to trigger a fire alarm.

Clean modern hotel, with well appointed rooms. Staff are friendly, welcoming and more than happy to offer recommendations of places to eat close to the hotel and offer assistance with taxis l, airport transfers etc. Rooms are bright, spacious and clean ( Extra bonus points for the multiple USB sockets/outlets...not just at the desk but also on both sides of the bed). A fairly large " mini fridge" means travels staying for a few days can keep essentials chilled. Plenty of choice at breakfast each morning. Right in the heart of Budapest, close to excellent transport links.

Cannot fault the hotel or staff. All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The beds are clean and very comfy. The rooms are decorated nice and modern. The breakfast buffet is on the smaller size in comparison to some hotels with only a small heated food section, but still plenty of choice of other breakfast foods. The location is perfect, you can leave the hotel and walk in any direction and you will find bars, attractions, restaurants, shops, historical architecture and so much more. It's a beautiful city with lots to do and see. We had a lovely room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, the courtyard area at the front of the hotel gets very busy with tourists yet you cannot hear this from inside the hotel room. We also didn't hear any sound from other rooms. 10/10, would definitely return.

The overall experience was excellent! The room itself was well-appointed with modern amenities, and I appreciated the attention to detail... even the fridge is surprisingly bigger in size than usual. The beds were incredibly comfortable and spacious, the bathroom's facilities were exceptional. The housekeeping staff maintained impeccable cleanliness in both the room and common areas and were very friendly! We appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary water, tea, and coffee provided daily, showcasing the hotel's attention to guest comfort and satisfaction. The breakfast was very good, for a reasonable additional fee. Waking up to a spectacular view each morning added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. The central location was a major advantage. Being situated in the heart of the old city made it convenient to explore nearby attractions, savor fantastic dining experiences, and immerse myself in the vibrant energy of the surroundings.

The only drawback during our stay was the absence of parking facilities. While this inconvenience didn't overshadow the positive aspects, it did require some extra planning when finding parking in the vicinity.

Staff were very helpful. Excellent location just across the road from main bus stop for 100E express bus to airport via one stop, useful to catch this to go the aircraft museum and a 10/15 min walk from terminal. Also large tourist information office, Ferris wheel and Deak tube station 5 mins walk. Fashion Street 10 mins walk. Very good breakfast very wide and diverse choices. Only comment would be nice to have a little more variety of English/American hot breakfast items.

Only one drawer in Bedroom. Very poor and shabby outside space on roof to relax on with views of backs of buildings.

My partner and I stayed here in March 2023, I cannot recommend enough for anyone to stay here, it’s safe to say you will not be disappointed! The location is absolutely perfect - right in the centre of where you want to be. We used the 100E bud from the airport which finished its route pretty much outside of the hotel. This costs around 1500HUF so approximately £3 rather than a taxi which will be around £35. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a beautiful lobby area where the receptionist who were super welcoming told us that our room was ready. They directed us to the lift and we made our way upstairs. The property was super clean, not one spec of dust found. The room was very generous in size and comfortable. We were given a full king size bed - actually it was comfier than my bed at home! The bathroom was immaculate and had excellent provisions. The room came with ample hanging space and storage for clothes. It also had a kettle, coffee machine and a mini fridge which was useful for storing water. We had a inner courtyard facing window so there was no street noise, it was so peaceful. There was a safe to keep valuables but overall the hotel felt very safe. The hotel offered a breakfast which we didn’t have but on passing through the lobby area to fetch a complimentary coffee I saw the offering looked fantastic. When it came to the end of our stay, we checked out with ease and thanked for staying. We made use of the luggage lockers which were proper lockable units using a keypad entry. This was fantastic as check out is at 11am and our plane was not until the evening. Location wise, as I mentioned earlier, it cannot be faulted. You are a stones throw from Deak Ferenc area which is a hub for public transport. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the river and in the following direction is the hustle and bustle of the bars including the famous Szimpla Kert! Thank you for our stay, we will be back for sure!

Location is excellent, convenient for all major sights, public transport options and the airport bus. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby and about 10 walk to the river. The staff were very helpful at all times, including check in when we were given lots of tourist information.

Nothing at all, we really enjoyed our stay. Perhaps fresh coffee at breakfast would have been nice, rather than from a machine.

Excellent location, many attractions are within walking distance. Modern looking and clean throughout. Nice and functional room design.

Breakfast was not very good: limited choices available, pastries rather dry. Breakfast is available until 10:30 but at least 30min before most of the fresh stuff was gone and not being topped up. From a “boutique” hotel and the price paid we would have expected more attention to such details.
