Crossway Parklane Airport Hotel Chennai

I must admit - having seen Google street view and some reviews about the location, I was worried. Google directions made it look complicated and farther from the main road - it wasn't, it was just two cross streets to remember. I booked it still because of overall review and customer rating.. Then again, my thing is customer support. Whereas some other closer-to-the-airport options didn't even bother responding to my messages about my odd hour check-in, Crossway Parklane rep (later, I found that it was Anand, a pleasant guy I met in the morning, while checking out) was prompt in replies and actually tried to help. That was while booking online. Yuvaraj, the check in rep, was pleasant and helpful at 3am. (These guys ever sleep?!) The Bengali helper was polite and nice. While checking out, Srinivasan was the room attendant. Super helpful. Anand was at the counter. My checkout was smooth. Our room was (deluxe) big and clean. I liked the complimentary accessories - tooth paste, brush, comb and razor all nicely packed - was a good touch Overall it was a pleasant surprise and a nice experience. Very good for people transiting in Chennai airport. Highly recommend it.

Only downside was location, not directly the hotel's problem and it was not the geographical location- which is perfect, very close to Chennai airport, easy to find. It's the unfortunate location where there were lot of stray dogs that gave a chase to the car at night (morning, it was fine) and a dark access road. The city should probably do something for such hotels. Lots of foreigners come here because of proximity. We should create a good first impression on them, which means, roads, lights and easy access to such hotels This next little issue is a problem in many hotels - water drain in the bathrooms can be improved. Standing shower could be an option. Right now, a shower would mean completely wet floors.

The room was clean The bed was comfortable (We arrived at 2am so these were the things we were concerned about). Breakfast was excellent The staff friendly and helpful A great place to spend a night when you arrive in Chennai

We arrived at 2am got to bed by 3am and woken by a phone call at 7am from reception to find out what time we planned to check out.

The hotel inside is neatly maintained. Rooms facilities are OK for a short stay. Few items ordered for dinner were tasty. Quantity can be more. Parking is available. A short distance from airport (takes 8 to 10 min).

Location outside the hotel is not clean and not fit for a stroll. However hotel inside is well maintained.

Met us at the airport, polite,helpful, close to airport 5mins away . Small minibus 24hrs a day complimentary pick up drop off . Clean , we ate there food was great freshly prepared and served hot. A real find , rooms equipped with what you need. We got 7 hrs good sleep,hot showers, food. Everything we needed between flights will use again. Happy to recommend.

There was nothing we did not like.

Close to the Airport. Great for a transit or over nighter. Rooms are clean and Good. Breakfast Buffet is good with a pretty good choice of South Indian food. Place is well maintained and clean, there isa fair bit of parking space for your own car. Quiet area as located nera Army Barracks area.

The Hot water takes a long time to come, waste of water until then. There are no restaurants nearby, the inhouse restaurant is not worth it, the service is extremely slow and there was only one waiter who was trying to juggle 5 tables with only 1 menu in the entire restaurant. Although located in a Barracks area, the location does not have much to offer if you would like to walk around and the main road is almost 2 Kms away, and no access to transportation on the fly unless you have your own car. Taxi or Auto Rickshaws are not available, but Uber or Ola will work but takes time. In-house taxi costs an arm and a leg in comparison to ride share so would not advise it, even an airport pickup/drop is high unless inclusive of your hotel booking.

Room is clean and neat, near to the airport. Shuttle service to airport is awesome. Staffs are helpful.

Food service to the room is very very bad. Ordered tea but it took a lot of time with no response. Also asked for hot water to drink but no response for hours and hours. Kindly improve the room service.

This is my 4th time stay at this hotel and in the same room G2- was lucky to get that!! The gals at front desk were very helpful and changed our room immediately on request. Food is exceptional as always. My fav are Rice-daal fry and Paneer Tikka. Room service is good. They arranged a free shuttle to airport. The vehicle is new and clean.

The room initially we got in the first floor wasnt in good condition.

Property is close to airport. Check in process was fast. They have parking area and also a restaurant. I ordered food from restaurant and it was hot and served on time and quantity was good. Staff was courteous. Also wifi was suitable to do wfh.

The room had the smell of mould and seems no fresh air had entered for quite sometime. No windows. The room had very dim lighting which makes it feel like night all the time. I also saw a big rat in the night scurrying in a hurry.

My parents stayed at the hotel for a night to catch a flight the next day. They were comfortable and pleased with the service. They specifically asked me to write a positive review about the breakfast served and the helpful staff. I had requested airport pickup and drop from the airport for my parents and the driver was extremely helpful in supporting my parents with the heavy luggages, making it a comfortable experience. Overall, their feedback about the place is positive and they wanted me to share their recommendation.

The room is good only thing I want to say is the room is very dusty. Hope your management can do something about it I was there for 2 nights, and breakfast on both days was the same.
