The Fern An Ecotel Hotel, Lonavala

Though hotel did meet our expectations with good food, good room size and utilities items kept in room, ambience was ok, staff was good. But this place looked more friendly for corporate use.

Specifically the sports area which was very badly maintained with so much moisture that we could not spend 5 minutes also in that area. We do not appreciate this as stay with family would mean children wanting to use such facilities. Moreover, the gates remained opened which was a big no as this is prone to security issues.

1. Most staff at the Restaurant and none of the staff at the Front Desk / Reception were wearing their MASKS. 2. The area just outside the hotel boundary wall on the side facing the highway was full of LITTER. There was a DIRTY Pond next to the Hotel wall and full of filth. Pics attached.

Location is excellent. It is near to city centre. The surounding is calm and peacefull. Few rooms have beautifull view of mountains. Staff is very polite. Hospitality excellent. The pool area is very nive. They have hot water Jakuzzi too beside the pool, which gives a very relaxing experience. A big green lawn to play cricket, badminton etc. There is indoor paly area too. Spa is also available. The rooms are very spacious. The food and breakfast is very nice. Excellent stay at comparatively lower tarrif.

Nice and comfortable stay. The Fern never lets you down. If you are looking for a good comfortable stay with nice rooms, amenities, indoor games, a nice pool, this is the place. the location is easily accessible too. The breakfast spread was good and tasty too. Just go for it without any second thoughts.

Nothing at all. Everything is good and no complains whatsoever I can think of.

If you are travelling between Pune and Mumbai and need to break the journey then this is a great location. The hotel wasn't the easiest to find from the main road, but it was raining heavily and was dark! The food was good, I had the buffet and both the Thai green curry and non-veg Indian options were very nice. Breakfast was OK. Overall the hotel is very good, it has the feel of a nice hotel trying to be a really nice hotel nd just falling short but overall happy with the stay.

This is the beautiful property situated at valvan. When we reach it was raining n the view from the balcony was mesmerising n put of the world. The food was good n service was great. Every staff is hardworking. Special mention Hema from the reception n rajat n Rajesh from the restaurant n even security person help to pick up n drop the luggage. Now coming to the room Hezal sweet suit room was huge having bathtub slide door bathroom, separate room for TV n sofa was there to enjoy. Balcony for the beautiful view n big king-size bedroom which was quite good. Everything is good about this hotel only my request for late checkout was unheard.

Some of the staff was giving attitude but I ignored them as I enjoyed my stay here.

Size of the room - we had a suite so a lounge, bedroom, cot, bathroom with tub - balcony with excellent mountain views. It was really lovely. The air was clean, no need for AC or even the fan! The food in the restaurant was excellent and the waiters were very attentive

more non-veg choices at breakfast, AC was too high in the restaurant, the rooms need a little revamp in the colour scheme as brown/cream is quite dated now

Staff was helpful. Room was comfortable. Food was great. Overall a nice stay for 2 days.

Cleanliness was a challenge. Could see dust beneath the fridge and there was dampness in washroom since it had no exhaust fan to dry it up. Made it sticky. Location was a challenge considering rains, which made it difficult to get local transport to reach the center

The location: we visited the property during april but, i think the view would be better during the monsoon The service : room servise , in room dining and housekeeping staff were efficient and prompt in there service. Breakfast buffet was elaborate and tasty

The property needs maintenance. The paint has started peeling off. Bath fittings were loose. A la carte menu : italian as well as indian dishes were not upto the mark

Spacious and clean property with many indoor and outdoor amenities. All the Covid-related protocols were followed thoroughly. Good service and very approachable staff. Mr Pratik got us an early check-in, which was very helpful given that we were travelling with a toddler. Also, our request for interconnecting room was fulfilled. The food was delicious and we were also given a decent discount on food, which was commendable. Special mention for Mr Harvinder here. Overall, we liked the staff’s never say no attitude. Whatever we asked for was fulfilled wholeheartedly. The location of the hotel is ideal to escape the traffic of Lonavala main market. Most points are easily accessible from this hotel. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and we would love to visit them again.
