Bel Air Resort

The pool area is gorgeous and chill, the villa we had was super spacious and comfortable, it’s beach front and you can snorkel just there and see beautiful corals and fishes. Food was good and you can have eat right at the beach. The staff are super attentive and friendly, we could rent bikes and book snorkel tour on site, they even booked our ferry tickets when we departed, and the ATM is right there at the property.

The room was clean but had old stains, I think needs some maintenance and I guess it’s for the weather or the area, there were many mosquitos in the room, but we bought our raid and solved the problem.

The location was perfect for me. I enjoyed having a quiet and peaceful room to sleep and yet be in walking distance of practically everything. The ATM was just around the corner and so were several scuba diving companies, restaurants, massage spas and little shops. The included breakfast on the wonderful outdoor restaurant part in front of the hotel with the view across the ocean over to Lombok was always a perfect and peaceful start into yet another day in my little paradise. The manager and the rest of the staff were very friendly, happily greeting you whenever they saw you and the manager being interested in how your day has been and if you were enjoying yourself, - always ready to help with tips for any kind of bookings.

Luckily I had brought my own mosquito net. The manager warned me on my arrival not to leave the doors to the room open, - neither towards the front porch nor to the outdoor bathroom, to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. Why not simply equip every room with mosquito nets? There defenitely were quite some mozzies at dusk and dawn. Also the closed off front porch made the room very dark. I would have prefered an open porch wirhout that extra wall to the pool area. I don't think anyone ever uses it to sit there, because due to the wall it doesn't get any sunshine. A direct access with the porch opening to the pool area would have been nicer. I might have spent more time there then. But with nice beach bars around one could always enjoy another place somewhere else.

Staff - truly exceptional and friendly. The room - clean and comfy with some minor potential improvements (smell in the bathroom) Pool was great, we sometimes felt like it was our private pool, because there were few guests in the resort. Breakfast really better than expected. They have quite a good variety 🍞🍳🧂☕️ coffee very good! You can watch turtles swim in the sea while you eat. Thanks to all the Bel Air team!!! 🧡🐢🙏 PS - do not be fooled by the bad previous comments, we originally planned to stay for 5 days, but even extended for another 2, I guess that should say a lot 😊 BONUS: ATM right next to the resort, snorkeling equipment/quality bikes rent as well. There are guys who can arrange half day gili islands snorkeling tour, we bought one from Din and it was the best one so far! You should request to go to baby turtle spot in gili meno to see how they contribute to saving turtles population. It was included in our trip itinerary on the spot after Din (great guy to have business with!) saw how amazed I was with seeing turtles from a close up.

Hotel staff was excellent! The room was cozy and comfortable and clean. Location is very good, just a couple of steps to the beach were you can snorkel and even see turtles. You can rent snorkeling gear next to the hotel. We were also happy with the food (lunch and dinner) at the hotel restaurant, the quality may vary a bit around the island but in the hotel restaurant the food was good every time.

Only minor negative is the lack of pressure in the toilet, it was a bit challenging to flush. As the resort is located on a small island I assume this is probably quite common issue.

just by the snorkeling area, manager were so amazing as well as the staff. I knew that lots of people were commenting about mosquitoes…well, it’s an island. just need to ask the staff for mosquitoes spray or get the mosquitoes lotion. Movie Nights everyday and can actually request for the latest movies. That was actually the 4th time I stayed in that resort and Gili Air is the best place to chill especially for family with kids. I’m a single traveler and even myself love it there. Wake up in the morning straight to the bar area and looking over to the sea with the views of Lombok and Mount Rinjani. Love the swimming pool, Love the View, Love the surroundings, Love the staff and for sure…absolutely love the resort…I consider it as my 2nd home ❤️❤️❤️ Thank u Bel Air and will see u pretty soon…

Perfect location only 2 mins walk to the only beach you can easily swim at low tide. Very nice relaxed and cool place to stay and near the harbour and bars and restaurants. The team are amazing, so helpful and always smiling. They have a great pool and a cool beachfront restaurant and bar. Rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday and left with drinking water you can put in your fridge. Thank you for a great stay and all your information and assistance!

Delightful staff friendly and welcoming and the manageress was amazing and kind Food was great too. I took a snorkelling trip arranged by Addi ( sorry if spelt wrong 😀) which was fantastic and saw lots of magnificent turtles…if I’m lucky enough to return to Gili Air I would definitely stay here again Thanks 🙏🏼

What can you say about paradise 😎

Located in beach front, great location to watch beautiful sunrise. There is cinema, pool table, gym equipment, large pool and many more things that the reasons you want to stay there. Endang and the staff are courteous and helpful. The are always there whenever you need them to make sure that you have a comfortable stay. The bed suprising comfortable. Breakfast was excelence. I would definetely recommend this resort to others. Keep up the good work Endang and Team! Will definetely stay here again. Thanks everyone

The staff are super helpful. The swimming pool is amazing. The location is very strategic. We were chilling on the beach in the morning then moved to the swimming pool in the afternoon. We did not feel like going anywhere else. It's also not so far from the harbor. Most importanly, this resort and all the staff are children friendly. They really care about the kids and my son felt safe around the adults there.

The property is rather dirty. If you remove the unused equipment around, I'm sure it will look much more beautiful. We stayed on second floor and during the night there were rats on the ceiling. It was very noisy and disturbing.

Nice hotel with a lovely big pool and bar and seating area right on the beach. The bar is great and feels really laid back but looks good fun on a Friday night although sadly we missed it! There are bikes, paddle boards and snorkels available to hire so there is not need to look around. The staff are excellent - extremely kind and helpful and were able to get us a great deal on our boat back. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very lucky to have them as our hosts. We had so much fun swapping stories, sharing a beer and learning about Indonesia with them.
