Kubu GWK Resort

Staff are very nice and friendly and respect privacy. I liked their swimming pool. For me their location was good since it’s working the local environment which gave me a sense of local like once I get out of the villa, and also close to a shopping mall with restaurants and nice supermarket where I shopped different kinds of fruits, beer and wine, cheez and hams for snacks. Even though the usual laundry service does not offer to wash shoes, they arranged it me for good price and it really helped my days since I only had a parir of nice pair of tennis to wear for my travel back.

I had to move rooms since it was doble Booked at first but they gave me the upgraded one. Then Before I get the room that I actually booked which always a balcony access one, I had to wait in the pool access room for some hours though it was fine since I was gonna swim in the swimming anyways. But I kind of felt that I had to “ask for’ the room that I actually booked for the rearrangement. All sorted out well without having troubles but good information ahead might have helped. In total, definitely good value and worth to stay!

The total stay at the resort was 6 weeks. The staff were lovely, and friendly and went out of their way to help when possible. The place was tidy, and the facilities were appropriate for the price and doable for an extended stay. There are grocery shops nearby and the pool area was lovely. It was a nice peaceful place to stay to relax in the sun.

You need to ask for kitchen items when you get there if you want to cook or have plates etc. - it's a basic kitchen.

It's not the cheapest place on the island, but it's worth every penny. Great both for remote workers as well as tourists looking for a peaceful well located place to unwind. 1. The staff is excellent. It was the first and only time during our stay in Bali that we were greeted by members on the staff upon our arrival outside of the hotel while getting out of the taxi. They even addressed us directly with our names pronouncing them in a perfect way. Everyone spoke perfect English, specially the young lady at the reception desk. 2. The long alley leading to the buildings where all the rooms are (see: pic attached) is a piece of art. Waking through it feels like walking through the jungle. Overall, the garden is beautifully maintained. 3. We love having a kettle and a sofa in the room. Especially the sofa was a real luxury since 95% of other rooms in Bali don't offer it. Even some villas don't have couches! I really enjoyed sitting there in the evenings reading books or just relaxing. 4. The view was outstanding. The balcony – spacious and super clean. A big panorama window fills the room with light. 5. The smart desk set up allows for up to two people to be using it at the same time. Since me and my partner had to work occasionally the room offered us a very convenient set up for just that.

The hotel is very well maintained. The times we came in we saw the stuff working on improvements and watering the garden. The room was bigger than most rooms in the area. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was filling and had 4-5 options. You can order extra food at very reasonable prices. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the beach (15 minutes by bike) but for the price we couldn’t complaint. It was a really good value overall and definitely come back in the future…

Clean modern spacious rooms, nice pool and gardens around the property. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast, we ordered the night before and specified the time, when we arrived to the restaurant the following morning we were waiting for 45 minutes for our food, when we got our pancakes eventually they were not cooked properly and still had raw batter. I’m not sure if the wait time is a regular occurrence as we did not opt for breakfast as a result of our bad experience on the first morning of our stay.

Really nice people working there. Nice pool. beautiful view from the balcony. Comfortable bed.

May be the area is not so great - a little bit away from the beach.

The whole experience was amazing. The staff were so helpful when I wanted to know about scooter rental, tours and etc. The room was clean, beds comfy and breakfast yumy and the price was very decent.

The staff is an asset for this resort, they were doing everything to make us made our trip marvelous. The ala carte breakfast is made my day. The cleanliness of the room is constantly made since check in till check out, very recommended resort to anybody want a serene space with marvelous service .

Nothing to complain about

There are many things we like about this place. Serene place to stay with the pool in front of the room. Really enjoyed the floating breakfast. Staff is super friendly and helpful! I highly recommend for those looking for lodging in the Jimbaran area
