Ibis Styles Malang

The lady at the front desk whom I was in contact with over here was fantastic! She helped us book our Bromo and Ijen tour for a really good price and even on her day off still said she would be in touch if we needed anything. We had a room on the top floor which meant we had a lovely view of Malang. The room was a nice size and bed was comfortable.

They don’t offer bike rental, we were given contact info for a couple of companies but no one got back to us so it made getting around quite difficult. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner and our next door neighbours were banging on the walls.

Everything about the property was great, the pool was amazing, gym was nice, and restaurant was super good.

I gave this hotel an 8 star rating because of the breakfast. We left early for a tour but the breakfast they gave us was two pieces of hard bread and butter. This was definitely not worth the price of the paid breakfast on the room, and was horrible. Everything else was great!

Room was great. Very clean, quiet, good shower and tv. Fantastic place to catch some sleep after hiking Bromo and getting a night train from Yogjakarta. Easy to get grabs around Malang. The hotel offers tours and they were fabulous. We booked Bromo and also our Ijen trip through them. Highly recommend, great price and wonderful service.

Heated pool was lovely. Kids loved it. Breakfast was nice. Reception gave us two connected rooms which we liked. Reception also arranged a trip to Bromo.

More options at breakfast. Dinner menu is nice and food tasty but many items were not available. Food also took a long time to come out even though we were the only diners.

I like this hotel, stayed there twice. Big rooms, comfy bed, high speed WiFi.

Cleaning service - in general OK but they tend to forget e.g. to put toilet paper or towels in the bathroom or clean the coffee mugs or take out garbage. Minor inconveniece though.

The room is simple but clean and comfortable. The dining hall is a half-outdoor hall with a wall filled with plants. I like that green-house like dining.

All the menus at the restaurants are in QR codes. I prefer skimming the menu in a traditional way. The restaurant food comes super slow. We were joking about this super slowness.

Good spread during breakfast. Engaging receptionist, Ayin. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice heated swimming pool. Many facilities in gym. Big spacious room as we were upgraded to family room. Many lifts.

Room facing the sun so aircon is slow in cooling the room.

I will stay there again. It is really OK, comfy, nice terrace restaurant, high speed wifi

Breakfast - not the best (and Asian style only, no bread etc) and too many people / too little products (even coffee run out, not to mention fruits)

Nice and clean hotel, good sized bathroom. Near Malang train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great massage selection in the hotel. A good starting point for many day trips including a trip to Bromo. Wifi worked well.
