Nick's Pension

We had a great stay at Nicks Pension. I would highly recommend this location, especially for groups! The location itself was gorgeous - plenty of trees and soothing nature noises. I really loved having a garden view because you could relax outside the unit. It was also very near to the Ubud center. Staff was very helpful. We arrived around 2AM but the check-in was smooth and they helped us carry our baggage. The room was clean and spacious, perfect for 4 people. The bathroom was also clean. They also helped us arrange an airport taxi and our taxi driver was very friendly. I would gladly stay with them again.

The path to the hotel from the reception can be tough for people who aren't that fit - there are lots of stairs and it's quite a long walk. Same goes for the walk to and from the Ubud center. If you are travelling with senior citizens or people with disabilities, I would recommend asking if Nicks Pension can provide special accommodations or look for another hotel.

location was close to main street but not quite as busy/loud, room was spacious and air conditining was cold, plenty of hot water in the shower, pool was well maintained with very nice loungers, free breakfast had a lot of variety

our front door had some gaps in the wood panels which let bugs in (it's the tropics), our room was in the same building as reception and people woke us up at 6:30a most mornings chatting outside (not sure if they were staff or guests) so probably ask for a room in the back of property next time

I have always stayed in hotels when I visited the Kuta Area in Bali. This time I chose the Ubud Area so that I can feel the Balinese tradition and Nick's Pension is the correct choice. Balinese style building and rooms, surrounded by nature and the breeze is cooling. Along the street there are convenience stores to buy daily supplies and Spas if you need a massage for relaxation. Since I bought tours with hotel pick-up, there was no issues getting to places of interest. The restaurant at Nick's Pension has tasty food that suits my palate. The breakfast included is simple with Indonesian and Western choices for selection. You can also get food from restaurants along the streets. Overall I enjoyed a pleasant stay.

I like everything about this place and will return for sure.

Family friendly atmosphere, safe for children (5, 8 & 9yrs old) to find their way around facilities, relaxing and calm but still fun. Balinese music in the restaurant can be heard at the pool, good drivers and daily room cleaning. Mosquito nets on every bed is good. We loved the rice paddy between the restaurant/pool area and rooms and across the road. It's beautiful. The back footpath shortcut is very convenient and just a short walk to anywhere.

Some of the tiles in the pool are a bit sharp. Everything else is very wonderful!

Thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night stay at this property. We had a bungalow down near the gully which made it very peaceful and the bridge across the creek provided a welcome short cut to Jalan Monkey Forest. It meant we were moments from the hustle and bustle of Ubud and yet immersed in peace and tranquility. Would definitely stay again. It's an older style resort but for us that did not detract from its charm.

The breakfast was pretty average and the Gado Gado I ordered on arrival was one of the worst I have ever eaten. But there are plenty of great restaurants nearby and we did not go hungry.

Great location and staff were amazing. Value for money although rooms are tired. Great place to stay if you are out and about and wanting a place to sleep. We had a family room which was quiet large and spacious. The price of the rooms is good but reflects the standards. I would stay here again. Location is great, walking distance to everything. Great restaurants in the street.

As mentioned above the rooms are tired and cleaning standards for the bathroom could have been a better, you get what you pay for so no complaints.

Amazing structure! You can really feel the Ubud vibes. Position was amazing: the two entrance gates make really easy to reach every point of the city centre. Free bottles of water everyday. The breakfast was so good and they also served it in the room. Enjoying coffee and pancake while looking at the nature and the statues was so relaxing. The balinese dances were really nice. The staff was really helpful and nice.

The bed linen had some stains but it was clean

1. Convenient location. It's not only near market, restaurants and stores but also easy to move to other streets by using shortcut. 2. Kind and supportive staff They were very informative and helpful. 3. Beautiful garden Just..wow

Just about bathroom and power outlet! The bathroom was dark and damp and the showerhead was hanging too far. And the bathroom door was rusty. Also there was only one available power outlet to charge my phone inside and it was broken.

Dreamy garden, great location at the center of Ubud. Pretty hotel, clean water is available on demand, room is cleaned daily. The stuff especially at the restaurant were really great.

It was pouring rain while we were there and the rooms don't insulate. It's fine when it's hot, like usual, but if you don't like currents while you sleep that is an issue.

The pool is big, the breakfast is good and they have different options, the bathroom was cleaned and the beds were comfortable. The location is excellent bc is walking distance to Ubud centre and main atractions like Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace. The staff is helpful and they cleaned the room every day.

To give a feedback: Towels were cleaned but they had a weird and bad smell
