Big and clean room.

The man in the reception is not so helpful. I asked knife he said there is no knife, but in the breakfast how can i cut apple. and I asked restaurant reservation he did not it.

Old-school style lodgings--simple, clean rooms, homey decor, like staying in the apartment of Italian grandparents. Reminds me of visiting Europe 30+ years ago (in a good way). Very friendly staff, nice view from room. Room had a large closet, sink, and small safe, breakfast in the morning in the reception area, easy walking distance to great food and attractions. Bathrooms were shared but spotless and large.

Information about how to find the entrance and use the elevator. (Hotel entrance is on the 4th floor.) Bed was a bit hard for my taste, but that's a personal preference. A bit noisy from other guests in the hallway--bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!

The room and bathroom were always kept very clean, beds were made each day and new towels appeared. The location was perfect right in the center. There was breakfast offered in the hallway.

We were on a floor with 5 or 6 rooms, and had two shared bathrooms on the floor. However after a few days of our stay, suddenly one of the two bathrooms was locked and had a note "this bathroom is exclusively for guests of Room X". So suddenly all the other rooms just had 1 bathroom (toilet included) to share, which was not enough as it was often occupied. Plus nothing about this was communicated to us; as to why this even happened.

Ther hotel has a nice, family-owned, atmosphere. Our room was very large and quite stylish. Beds were comfortable. There was a nice balcony, which we used to relax and have a drink. The hotel's location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the central square. The breakfast, served in the hall outside the room was good enough to start the day.

The elevator sometimes gets stuck at certain floors, because the doors don't close completely automatically. So, I had sometimes to walk up the stairs (which are long), even carrying my suitcases. Also, if you arrive by train, have in mind that it's a good 20 minutes walk to get at the hotel.

Location and staff are great. Free tea, coffee, juice and pastries in the morning. Gorgeous old building, beautiful lift. Massive bedrooms, we had 1 double and 3 singles for 2 people. Shared bathrooms were always vacant and spotlessly clean. Right on the main street walk to the end of the street and you are at the asinelli towers, you can see them from your balcony. Bedroom doors are a bit fragile and would be easy to get in but there are other doors outside for more security.

A map of the city with blue parking spaces would be really helpful as well as recommended nearby garages

This is a perfect central location if you are discovering Bologna for the first time. Most major attractions and the central station are within walking distance. The host, reception and cleaning lady were all friendly and ready to help whenever needed, within the given time of course ( from morning till early nightime). Our booking didn't say breakfast was included (or maybe I didn't read correctly), but it was still provided by the hotel. This was a nice surprise. We are already planning our next visit to Italy, with Bologna included, and this place is at the top of our list of places to stay.

One small improvement would be to have the coffee machine more available. So, also free outside of breakfast time.. That being said, we travel with a small pot of instant coffee, and there was a watercooker provided, so it wasn't that big of a deal. :)

Location, location, location. Veeery close to the City Center, to food markets, to restaurants, to anything you might like. Furthermore both the room and the shared bathroom were very clean and the room was large and comfortable. Various breakfast items were served at the reception and we could take them to our room.

The receptionist who we met upon arrival was not really friendly, not making a welcoming impression on us and not really introducing us to the facilities. The price also was quite high for having a shared bathroom.

The hotel was very clean and located in the heart of the city, location is close to everything, there are supermarkets, restaurants and anything else you might need. The breakfast was good with a choice of different pastries, teas and coffee.

Our windows faced a commonplace street. When we first arrived it was the weekend and the street was blocked for the cars so it was quiet but starting Sunday evening it was used by the cars again and got very loud.

The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing - don't think you could get better. Loved the old lift that you needed to take to the hotel on the 4th floor. Room was huge, and clean. 3 large shared bathrooms, was never a problem using them, they were always empty even though the hotel was full. Would definitely stay again. Croissants for breakfast were delicious!

Great location in the middle of beautiful Bologna. The beds were very comfy and the free breakfast was a great surprise and bonus. The room and shared bathrooms were very warm and clean and the lift was great considering the hotel is on the 4th floor. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful.

The floor in our room was really noisy, not sure why, but you couldn’t walk around our room quietly at all.
