Hotel San Marco Fitness Pool & Spa

Overall we were very happy with the hotel . The pool was lovely and the facilities were amazing . But most of all I thought the staff were amazing. Two staff in particular Rachida and Bhagya are a huge credit to the hotel . They helped us out so much especially when myself and my fiancée went to visit Lake Garda and Venice they gave us great advice on what to go see in both places and went out of their away in helping us with the public transport and I can't thank them both enough for their help over the holiday and I wish them and the hotel all the best in the future.

I was a little disappointed that the Spa wasn't opened but it didn't take away how much we enjoyed staying at the hotel .

We were very impressed by the quality of our stay at Hotel San Marco. The check-in staff, housekeepers, and bar and breakfast staff were all very friendly and helpful with all aspects of our stay. The room was spacious, and clean, with all amenities included in good working order and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast room offered an excellent choice of foods and seating was available overlooking to pool as well as inside. The pool and surrounding area were well kept with good quality sunbeds and plenty of shade on offer. There was also enough space for the guests who wished to use this area. The hotel is located about a 20-minute walk from the center of Verona which made seeing the beautiful sights of Verona and finding nice restaurants relatively easy.

Some areas could be improved to give a more polished look to the hotel such as the back of the hotel where we arrived which looked dated compared to the front, and an area near the pool that overlooks the back of the kitchens which could be screened off to preserve the otherwise lovely surroundings. It was also unfortunate that you couldn't see your belongings whilst swimming in the pool, and perhaps in future, the layout could be altered to allow this.

Staff and facilities were excellent. The pool was well maintained. Breakfast was outstanding. Front desk support was great. The microfridge had sufficient room for several bottles of water. Ac worked well. Bathrooms were very large and quite luxurious. For groceries, there is a nearby chain, about 5 minute walk. There is also an amazing restaurant about 5 minutes away that has great pasta and meat. Small osteria, I think riki and Mauris.

It is about 30 minutes to walk to major sites, which can be tough for small children in hotter months. Public transport is available so there is a workaround. For short stays where bring a tourist is OK, the hop on hop off has a stop about a 10 min walk away.

Breakfast was amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful! Very clean rooms and they were keeping on top of it daily! Pool and chilling area was ok. Gym was well equiped and clean. There is a bar open till 2 am with drinks cocktails and snacks which we found very handy. If you don't have towels for the pool you can rent from the reception for 2€. Also very handy. Location is 5min from all main attractions by car. Taxi will cost 10€. All and all, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Verona ❤️

There Is some room for improvement when it comes to the pool area wrt cleanness. Also it would have been amazing to have the spa open but apparently it's open during winter only.

Breakfest vas very good - there was a lot of options to choose from, starting from boiled and scrambled eggs with bacon, and ending with cereals and 3-5 types of cakes. The location was good, quite, with delicious restaurants nearby, one of them right under our windows, as well as the bus stop, so there was no problems with transport. Spa wasn't very big, but comfy and clean - included 1 pool, 1 jacuzzi and 3 saunas.

As we visited the hotel of season, some renovation was in process. It bothered us only once, when someone started drilling right behind the wall in the morning. But in general, no other major problems were noticed.

Well appointed hotel within a steady walk to the centre of Verona. The staff were very welcoming and secure parking in the underground parking was provided as requested. Our room was perfect with lovely decor and facilities. Breakfast was great value with a wide range of hot and cold food and drink options. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. After a day sight-seeing and walking around Verona, to come back to the hotel and relax on a sun lounger and dip into the swimming pool was a real treat.

Very comfortable bed and bedroom. Bonus of spa bath in bathroom and a fancy shower. There is plenty of choice for breakfast. Nice to have a pool at the end of the day.

It was very hot when we were there and it was a 20 min walk to get into the historical centre of Verona. This may be a bit much for some in 34° heat. The hotel does not have a restaurant for an evening meal so you need to eat out. There are, however, many lovely restaurants on the way into the centre that are not too far away.

swimming pool really great in the heat. big breakfast buffet included in room cost. fitness centre. People at reception super-helpful and friendly. Bus to Garda just up the road. Outside main town so v quiet, yet 10 minute walk into old town. Take the trains where you can, on-time, air conditioned and cheap ( Trenitalia)

So air-conditioning is struggling with the increased heat and needs a re-vamp. Not easy I know. The bar should remain open later in the evening for those who don't want to go to town.

The hotel met us with beautiful landscaping outside, flowering interior which felt really welcoming and calming. The ladies In reception was welcoming and accommodating. Room was small but clean, could be warmer. It had a smart tv that I could connect to my phone and watch my preferred movies etc. spa was really nice and we spent the first evening enjoying saunas, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Location could be a bit closer to the city center and rooms could be a bit warmer or at least provide thicker cover

Outside pool is really nice, staff is super friendly and the room spacious.

The breakfast buffet needs some serious reorganizing, items are separated in sections that make little sense and it creates unnecessary trafic for guests that are bumbing to each other trying to reach some food or plate etc. (Advise coming from a professional in the hospitality industry)
