Clean and spacious room, well outfitted with efficient air conditioning, dehumidifer and customizable modular lighting. The complimentary tea service was outstanding. So charming and what an unexpected luxury! Convenient location, with three convenience stores within 200m, train station a walk away and countless food options (predominately cheap/quick eats as it is a business district, but very high quality). Located on the city circle line, so very easy to commute to explore other districts and included in the JR Rail pass. I hope other travellers will read this and book here and that their stay is as pleasant as ours was.

Everything is lovely. This was my second stay on this hotel, so I already knew what to expect. Everything was clean, service was lovely, my request was heard, and the room was a decent size. Also, the neighborhood is great, so I will definitely be coming back!

This time I stayed on a lower floor, so the street noise was a bit higher, so If I could change something next time, would be to have a room not facing the street. It's not a lot of noise, is quiet on the night, but I'm really sensitive to noises and everything wakes me up. I still managed to have a good night sleep. Also, this time was a little bit more expensive, I assume that this was because of the Christmas week.

I don't think I can adequately describe how amazing this hotel is. Please do not hesitate to book! We have stayed here twice within the last 12 months, and the service, attention to detail, and comfort of this place have been outstanding both times. Breakfast is delicious. You can tell they only use the best quality ingredient. Their tea selection is especially good. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very cleverly designed to make the most of the space provided. You get loads of extra amenities that I haven't experienced in other hotels, even within Japan. The hotel area is nice and quiet but with many convenience stores nearby. Shimbashi station is only a 10 minute walk. :)

Nothing!

This place was an absolute oasis from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The amenities were absolutely incredible, far better than a commercial five star hotel. The staff were absolutely sensational and the traditional tea bar opened twice daily. Was a beautiful touch of tranquillity amongst a busy travel schedule. The housekeeping was some of the best I've seen with extreme attention to detail, making the room feel fresh and welcoming everyday. We travelled with a 6-month-old baby and this location was absolutely exceptional in being accommodating but also providing sufficient space for us to relax while we were in the suite. I never

Amazing staff. Amazing breakfast. Amazing clean room. Amazing amenities. I am happy I found this place.

Their closest train station, Onarimon doesn't have the easiest access for a tourist who travels via Narita airport. We dragged a suitcase from Tokyo Station to Onarimon (about 10-15 min walk from Tokyo Station) which wasn't easy. We had to lift heavy suitcases on stairs at Onarimon Station. The station didn't have the escalator all the way :-( Luckily a stranger helped me carrying it. Next closest train station is Shinbashi. You can catch a cab from there if you want to take a train from Tokyo Station. We ended up calling a cab everyday to go to Shinbashi station.

Really nice tidy decent sized rooms and soothing atmosphere to building. Location close to local stations (about 30min walk from Tokyo station). Breakfast and lunch options downstairs and nearby. Teas during day. Good internet. Would be nice if there was an actual restaurant for dinners at attached Cafe/ restaurant but it closed each day by 5pm. Staff all friendly and seemed to understand English which was appreciated. Note: room doesn't initially come with chromecast or netflix etc but you can hire an Amazon fire stick from reception and sign in via that. If Netflix has error, we found hot spotting off phone helped. No smoking rooms.

Netflix etc doesn't work unless you get the firestick. Sometimes a little noisy.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel 1899! The standard double room was beautiful and modern, well equipped and extremely clean. The room is smartly designed so that you can easily open and store suitcases. The room was very quiet too. The service was worthy of a 5-star hotel too! Our room was made every day and new toiletries were furnished daily. The hotel is tea-themed and offers free cups of traditional tea in the mornings and afternoons, which we truly enjoyed after our long days walking around Tokyo. The staff is very friendly and helpful too, with great English skills. They kindly helped us to ship our luggages to our next hotel and catered to all our needs during our stay. The location is very convenient to move easily around Tokyo too! The hotel is located 10 minutes walking from Shimbashi station and two other metro/subway stations, so you can travel in all directions fairly quickly and visit the most relevant parts of Tokyo in public transport. The area around the station is also very lively with many food and drinks options (but the hotel street is quiet). I 100% recommend this hotel in Tokyo as the value for money is excellent!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Fantastic hotel in Tokyo, especially for the price. Amazing hospitality and staff; and the rooms are spacious for Tokyo (especially the premium room - the bed was very big). Everything is thought of in terms of design. Nice touch to get free tea ceremony as well as tea and snacks in the room. Safe neighbourhood with multiple tube stations nearby.

The location is very quiet which can be a positive and a drawback. Personally, next time I would probably look to stay more in the hustle of the city, however that will come at double (or more!) the price for this level of hotel. Having said that, it’s very easy to get multiple tubes around the city from the hotel, and there’s nice restaurants and entertainment within 10 mins walk. We were a bit sad that the cafe closed so early, as we were looking forward to a beer / coffee in the afternoon in the comfort of our hotel. You do get a small sofa in the room but not the same.

Great reception, beautiful building with clean facilities. We had the largest room they offer and it was very spacious. As others have said, it's about a 10 minute walk from Shinbashi station, but it doesn't seem far! Also a great neighborhood for commuting to any other part of Tokyo. We loved our time here and would recommend it.

We liked everything -- the only thing that I can say, and it's just based on my personal experience, is the buffet breakfasts at the other hotels we stayed at had quite a few more options. However, this breakfast was the least expensive, so that is understandable. They served slightly different food each day and it would've been nice to have the food we liked the best (sweet potato salad and croquettes) every day.

The room was a great size for a single person, very comfortably appointed. I liked all the additional amenities they had in the bathroom like brush, skin care, bath salts. This was a really nice and unexpected addition which made me feel well cared for during my stay. I liked the fact the area was a bit quieter, but still had plenty around with some good restaurants and 7/11 just across the street. The breakfast wasn't mind-blowing but everything was well presented and it's a nice space to start your day with a coffee if nothing else!

The location took a bit of getting used to at first but then I really enjoyed the area as a whole. It's a good 10 minute walk to the closest metro but once you get your bearings this isn't such a terrible problem.
