Gefinor Rotana – Beirut

An excellent stay from the moment of my smooth and welcoming check-in with Mr. Paul at the front desk. All other hotel staff (managers included) combine professionalism with courtesy and eagerness to ensure that guest expectations are met and surpassed. Rooms are clean, quiet, and modern, with high-quality bedding. The rooftop pool offers a broad view of the city and sea. The gym is up-to-date and equipped with machines, mats, free weights (including a rack), and plenty of towels. Water, electrical power, and Internet all reliable. The breakfast buffet offers an ample international selection that includes fresh fruit and omelets made to order. For walks in the fresh air, the seafront promenade is reachable in under 10 minutes. Overall, the Gefinor Rotana is a home away from home. Highly recommended.

What went well? Everything. I have been staying at the Rotana Gefinor since 2007 and have witnessed a lot of improvements of the facility and internet - both the reliability and speed. What has been always exceptional? The personnel. There are still employees I remember from my first stay, which says it is a good place to work. Every single one, both the "veterans" and new guys are just amazing, flexible, positive, supportive. My flight days and departure times were frequently changed this time, however, all these changes affecting my check-in and check-out were accommodated. I would like to mention Ms Bouchra by name, she handled my last check-out changes and taxi booking and arranged everything in no time. My "like" part would not be complete without praising the Reservation department for support and managing all arrival changes. Currently, I have no new projects that would take me to Beirut but hope it was not my last trip. And if it were, I have a treasury of wonderful memories.

There is nothing I can think about. Rotana Gefinor is exceptional maintaining top standard throughout the years. I have absolutely no complaints.

I traveled for emergency reasons and from the moment I arrived the front desk team with their manager were amazing and very professional. They upgraded my room and offered me additional services at no added cost. Every single member of the hotel were so kind and respectful. Room are spacious and very clean. Room amenities were of good quality. Hotel location is excellent. This is my favorite Hotel in Beirut and I tried over 6 different Hotels. I will definitely be back. Truly a 5 Star Experience

This is the first review I’ve ever written on booking.com and I’m only doing so because my stay at Rotana was absolutely incredible — if you’re considering this place, look no further, it’s perfect. Here’s my review breakdown: Staff: they made this trip worthwhile and truly memorable from the moment we checked in. We felt like we’re home and we were truly taken care of. They recommended shops, restaurants and so much more when we asked. They even provided me with a first aid kit when I got injured even though I didn’t ask for it. They’re amazing. Shout out to Mohammed for impeccable hospitality. I’ve been to many Rotana branches around the world, this by far is the best of the best. The entire Rotana team deserves a great year end bonus for their performance. 10000000/10. Location: perfection, you’ve got 3 incredible barista shops around, 2 great pharmacies, a supermarket, a bakery, groceries, a hospital, and an incredible hair salon that’s a 2 min walking distance. Everything you may ever require is a 10 minute walking distance max. I enjoyed it so much I can’t put it into words. Rooms: GCC fellows, I understand as a GCC resident you may have skepticism about the AC especially if you’ve read previous reviews, but it works absolutely fine if you close the windows properly. They staff will also double check and do the needful if it’s not functioning well — the rooms are exceptionally clean and they smell fantastic. Housekeeping were so good they rang us in before we rung them in everyday, we had 0 complaints.

Excellent area with close proximity to food, shops, cafes, hospital, banks, Am. University, etc. I walked and jogged in the early mornings and evenings and felt safe. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and daytime front desk manager Ali and his team were splendid. I will be back for sure and will choose this hotel! And food was excellent in all capacities. Thank you Mr. Ali and staff!

This is beyond anyone’s control but traffic in and around the hotel area is heavy during work hours (early morning and late afternoon).

Staying at Gefinor Rotana did ease my stay in Lebanon. I came for a medical reason, and this was something the whole staff took into consideration, offering the best service I needed during my stay. I extended for one more week, and Mr. Mohamed was very respectful, honest and wholeheartedly the best host ever. This is not my first time in Beirut, but I regret that I haven't stayed at Gefinor Rotana before. The WIFI in the room worked perfectly, and even the housekeeping staff always made sure nothing was missing. The area was within a perfect distance to everything you needed, by Uber I could reach most of Beirut in a few minutes. I'm really surprised, that this service is still to be found, without expecting anything in return. I will book my next stay here with the family in July 2023.

The breakfast could have been a bit better, but if you asked about something, they served it immediately. Such a lovely staff all over.

I have stayed at many hotels, however, I was blown away by the level of hospitality I received from the Gefinor Rotana. From the porter, the kitchen staff, concierge to the manager, Mr Ali Lamah, everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was a plesureable. We were so impressed, we extended our stay and I will surely be back.

While I wish the rooms were a bit more modern, it takes nothing away from the charm of the room. It has all the required facilities and the staff were available 24/7 to provide us with anything we needed. The swimming pool was nice as well. I didn't use the gym but it looked well equipped.

staff , location and clean ,staff , location and clean , on checking in , it was little miss understanding with room situation, but Lovely Mira took care of it very fast and upgraded me to suite, the next day I renewed one more night , again lovely Mira and the staff behind the desk welcomed me with their smiles , and offers a room with the sea view that I really enjoyed, and added a breakfast for me , that I came right on the closing time, Breakfast team and the lady at the desk helped get something to eat before closing, plus the lady outside on the sajj station fixed me a delicious Cheese Manoochee. Great hotel even though a bit expensive. In general very nice staff at the reception and at the fantastic roof top pool. Be aware that the diesel genset creates some noise and some black smoke - but I guess anyway appreciated as it compensates for all the power cuts. Poor cleaning of rooms and very poor service in the restaurant downstairs. however, still a very good hotel all in all. Great location to reach everything and still quiet at night.
