Hutton Central Hotel By PHC

Warm welcome. We could not find the reception but the staff came out to meet us. Room was spacious. Living room, bathroom and Bedroom are separate. Rooms are clean. Kitchen and living room are together. Kitchen has microwave, stove top and fridge. Aircond is powerful and keep the place cool. Place is 10 mins walk from Chowrasta market and Campbell street, 10 mins walk to New world food court, 10 mins walk to Red Garden roof court, 5 ins walk to the Free CAT bus stop and 15 mins walk to Komtar and Prangin Mall. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Minor annoyance is that the bedroom is on top of Transfer Road. Sometimes the noise from the street can be loud. The room is 1 floor up so you will have to go up 1 flight of stairs.

The room had a washing machine, dryer, microwave, cutleries, pots and pan, electrical stove, comfy bed and a dining table for 4. Hameediyah, Line Clear, Hutton lane roti bakar, Bee Hwa, roti canai transfer road+argyll, lebuh chulia ais tingkap, teo chow cendol, nasi padang international, passion heart cafe and few other cafes+bars were all within walking distances 3-5mins. To enter the room must go through stairs so not advisable for elderly/toddlers. The room was immaculate and the reception actually called us everyday before sending in the housekeeping services, which was something I didn't expected but all in all it was a good stay. The location was a five star for me. The hotel did not provide a parking space but it wasn't that difficult to find it around the area, maybe 30-50 meters aways from the hotel building with charges by the local city council RM6 per day or 80 cent per hour via Penang Smart Parking apps.

Since it is located by the main road, you can hear the traffic noise everyday like the honks/cars hustling specifically in the morning. Its not that bad but if you're a light sleeper this might be a problem for you but otherwise you can sleep on the couch in the living room. Everything else is fine.

almost everything. it’s near to major tourist attractions, hawker centers, etc. we travelled with a 10 month old baby. so, cooking his food was very important for us. the hotel got everything we needed in terms of kitchen tools such as knife, cutting board, pans, cutleries, even the soap for dish and clothes. they also have 2in1 washing&dryer machines which is awesome when travelling with infant. the staff was very nice and can be reached via whatsapp. i’m definitely going back to this hotel soon!

the ac in our bedroom smelled a bit off but other than that everything was excellent and worked properly

I especially like the design of the large space.The mattress is also very comfortable.The toilet light is very good,especially in the morning. *The staff who checked us in was very professional,friendly, and kind. *The staff who checked us out were completely different.The attitude was extremely bad and very unfriendly.

Everything is within the satisfactory range.Except,the bed sheets that were replaced the next day smelled bad.Fortunately,we stayed for four nights,and just ask for one time house keeping.And it was quite noisy at night,especially the room just facing the direction of the road; every time a car passed by, there would be a noise Clear.The counter staff who received us at checkout were extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.

the hotel is nice , even though with 1 bath room, got tv and small kitchen, i even heat up raya foods since we decided to raya in penang, got fridge , microwave .. STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY , helpful and awesome .. walkable to toh soon cafe , nasi ayam dalca , hutton lane roti bakar and chowrasta market.. no parking available for this hotel but , the property located beside multi-story parking and can use touch and go.. or we can just wait till midnight , parking on the road side..

not suitable for those who cant climb stairs , and not baby friendly who really active cuz - stairs quite steep .. maybe can put small doors for baby safety at the edge of stairs ..

Property was very spacious and clean and had all the basic amenities (except for hair dryer). I like that it had a washing machine and a full kitchen with stove top and microwave which most properties do not, which felt like a home rather than a hotel.

No parking provided with the hotel, however we had no trouble finding street parking nearby but you need to pay for the local council parking. Because the hotel is located right on a busy road and junction, you can hear the noises from the road and nearby coffee shop very loudly throughout all hours of the day and night. Hotel would need to either provide earplugs in the rooms or install double glazed windows to reduce the noise levels from outside.

Spacious, clean and well equipped apartment. Very comfortable place to stay. Helpful reception staff. Washing machine.

A little far from central tourist areas. It’s 1.5-2 km but walking in the heat and humidity was hard work with a child. It’s not 350m like it says on the booking site.There’s the buses but it seemed too complicated to work out in the few day that we were there. And it was quite noisy at night fronting a busy road.

The staff response is very fast and since we had a family, the staff came to the apartment for the check-in process. Lots of food shops, convenient shop and others just walking distace.(including the famous Toh Soon cafe, Komtas towers etc). The aircon was fantastic and kitchen was fantastic. It even had a washing machine/dryer which we got some clothes washed and dried (bonus). They have room service if we choose to.

The TV only had local channels. Maybe the addition of some subscription tv would have been good but not necessary.

Spacious and comfortable to stay for family. All the famous restaurants and shopping is nearby and convenient

For the 2rooms type is different location from check in reception. Have to walk or driving to there.

This is a very convenient one-bedroom apartment with full home appliances. The room is very clean, the staff is also very attentive and they speak English quite well. Before deciding to choose this hotel we read the reviews and the only thing we were worried about was the noise, but around our hotel there is no bar, and only a restaurant that plays music, but they will close around 11PM-12PM so it shouldn't be a problem for us. the music is not too loud, we weren't too affected either.
