Large rooms. Good location

Steps or handrail at the pool would make getting in and out easier. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be more convenient than having to go downstairs to do. Slippers in the room would have been good. Would like to have breakfast provided.

Since hotel just allowed to start their bussiness we were thrilled to stay at hotel eventhough me and husband is penangite. Lol. Based on Google the hotel are 3 stars hotel so i did not expect a lot. But then, the hospitality provided by this hotel was beyond my expectation! The room and ambience was soothing and nice. You will feel like you stay in a nyonya and kampung vibe style room. The room is clean and the staff was so good to turn on the humidifier for us before we came in. The staff even helps to bring our luggage in and even helps to prepare a cup of coffee. This is not 3 star standard, this is a 5 star standard! Kudos to all staff for their good work and friendliness!

My friend & I think that the room was really nice, spaciously perfect for our occasion. This 100-year-old rustic & modern minimalist features in the room are just awesome. Loved the electric kettle that blends nicely with the room. I personally love the hand soap, loved the smell. They are very thoughtful as they put in kiblat signage & a prayer mat for Muslim guests! A+ for that. The location was good too, a walk away from good local restaurants like Roti Canai Agyll Road, Nasi Padang, Penang Teowchew Chendol & Laksa etc. Just on your google map, and you're on your way to food paradise.

What this place missing is breakfast & in-room iron facilities. When checked with front-desk personnel, she said soon they will be having breakfast.

The mansion shared areas look great and have some unique design. A mixture between Morroccan and Indian details. The room (mansion suite) was huge and even had 2 queen-size beds, ideal for families. Decorations were great. Room was spatious and unique in its look. Locations is very central.

No breakfast option is provided. While the room was decorated in a nice way, it also had some minor details that made it feel less lovable. Shampoo and bath gel were not labelled (no idea what I washed my hair with 🤣 but yes, no drama), room bins looked like plastic cheap kitchen bins. Carpets were a bit dirty and only one small towel was provided. No bath mat was given. Overall it was good, but I think it was a bit overpriced for what they offer. Perhaps more worthy if we had kids and so we would take advantage of the big room size.

Beautiful mansion room and lovely decoration. A swimming pool (approx 3m x 10m and 1.2m depth) suitable for chilling out when it was too hot. The staff even served us cold water while we were playing in the hot afternoon. Great location. Across the street is an excellent tea house where we ate more than once.

It would have been great to have a simple toast with tea breakfast included. However it was not a big problem for us, as it was relatively easy to walk out for a breakfast. We ate thrice at Toh Soon Cafe for example which was about 5 mins walk way.

love the heritage building + the cleanliness of the rooms + the dipping pool. the design of the rooms (wood slotted dividers) can easily accumulate dust but the staff kept it clean and we had a very comfortable stay. the mattresses were great. just wanna give a thumbs up to the staff in hopes that all can be maintained well. 👍🏽

nothing much but hope the courtyard — which is beautiful — can be better maintained. i heard from the staff that some parts will be replanted. hope to see that whn i come next, as i plan to stay here again. 😊

Absolutely beautiful colonial house converted into a hotel. Looked like exactly what a home in the British Raj era would have done. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Even though the hotel does not have its own car park, we managed to park outside the hotel everyday. Staff informed us of the app that needed to be downloaded to pay for parking during our stay in Penang, and we were able to use the app throughout our stay. Will definitely recommend staying here.

Great location and a beautiful heritage hotel. It felt very clean and spacious, and there was a friendly hotel cat that we enjoyed petting. A very charming hotel

A couple of minor things, there is an outdoor night light that shines into our window rooms at night. The hotel staff were helpful and turned the light of for us at midnight each night. Another complaint is the high price of adding a day bed, it’s costs an additional RM100 for each night and the ‘set up’ consists of just putting a blanket and pillow there. If I had known that I wouldn’t have paid the extra as we could have done that ourselves. in the end we did not need the day bed and I still got charged RM200 for the cost of having a day bed for 2 nights. This left a bad taste to the end of the stay

The mansion style, the location

The ground floor room, on the opposite side of the swimming pool was so dark. When I asked to open the window the view was so ugly, that I asked to change for upstairs to have more light. Still the view was terrible. A pity for such a heritage building, nicely renovated. Personnel not very welcoming/helpful

Large room with a relaxing feel. Water provided in refillable glass bottles which was great. Pool was refreshing to cool off after the hot days. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Outside noises like the mosque, traffic, and sometimes loud music from nearby venues could be heard quite clearly so it was hard to sleep sometimes. Also the bed was very hard, and the pillows very flat.
