Citrus Hotel Johor Bahru by Compass Hospitality

The location of the hotel is next to JB City Square which is an excellent mall for shops and eateries. The family room is good sized and clean. There is a safe and complimentary water and coffee. Room cleaning is very good. The price is also very affordable.

The surrounding area can be cleaner like the side walks but it is located in the older section of JB so it is expected. The hall ways of the hotel can be cleaner and are not airconditioned. There is no drop off area for the front of the hotel, taxi must stop in the middle of the road.

breakfast was simple . great location. for RM264 per night it is a bit on high side as there is no facilities at the hotel. You should lower your room rate between RM150-RM200

Room rate too expensive

My 2nd time coming after a year. A huge progressing can be seen to the hotel. Every hotel staffs is doing their job well. Friendliness,alertness and going to an extra mile. Room was well cleaned and smells nice after being cleaned. Toiletries,mineral bottles were replenish every day. Both the security uncles is multi tasking too. They can be your hotel door man,plate collector during breakfast and hotel bell hop if shortage of man power. All the staffs were seen to be very friendly and customer service oriented. Breakfast was superb delicious too. Asking for iron and ironing board was fast too. As a token of appreciation,during my stay,I bought the front desk a cake on my 2nd last day at midnight, since my check out day, tomorrow is my birthday.. Thank you to everyone that makes my stay a memorable day. Continue to do your part to maintain your hotel name! 👍

Prime Location: One of the standout features of Citrus Hotel is its proximity to City Square. Easy Access to Food: Finding good food was a breeze around Citrus Hotel. The surrounding area is dotted with a variety of eateries, from local hawker stalls to dining in the restaurant at the nearest shopping mall. Late Check-Out Option: Citrus Hotel's flexibility regarding late check-out was a notable perk. It allowed us to make the most of our stay without feeling rushed, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Breakfast Menu: While the breakfast provided was decent, there is room for improvement in terms of variety and quality.

Professionalism exhibited by staff like Mr Rizwan, Mr Irwan and Ms Donna. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room given to me at the fourth floor facing the city square with totally no privacy as the diners from the other building are able to look into the room. I thought I had booked the room stating "city view" means a view of the city and not viewing another wall or building directly. I am claustrophobic and I will not want to book any hotel with rooms facing other buildings or without windows. Therefore appreciate greatly that guests booking through Booking.com be informed of situations like this that they cannot choose a room even if they book with a "city view".

the location. next to shopping mall and there's plenty of shop nearby hotel. if you hungry at 2am, just step out to the mamak shop opposite hotel entrance. Room. clean and spacious! staff. the hotel staff was friendly. my family and i stuck at mamak shop during heavy rain and we can't cross the road without getting wet, one of the staff saw us and bring us umbrella and help us cross the road. another staff helped me upgraded my room to family room when he saw how active my kids are 😅.. it was spacious and the kids loved it. parking. plenty of parking lot but not designated for the hotel. you can park at the roadside.. it's safe

the room is not sound proof.. the wall is too thin where you can hear all the activities from outside the hallway😅

The staff are friendly, responsive.

The electrical power sockets are all in bad condition. I can't charge my phone and other stuff well enough. And it kind of indent my plug socket. The shower door leaks so much of water while I had my shower. If you do not have a connection door will be best. If not the other side of the room, you can hear almost everything. It is not soundproof. I could not sleep much at all from a previous stay. The quality of the room dan be better if they fix the small issues like the power sockets and the toilet shower door.

Hotels were beside JB Ct sq mall & Komtar.. Hotel Breakfast was superb delicious! Hotels staffs were friendly. Ironing board were at the centred,outside hotel rooms to be shared by others hotel guests. Toiletries were given. There is also safe box. 4mins walk from JB Sentral to the hotel. Since coming on Monday,go KSL Mall (Bus F100) for their Pasar Malam. Fare (MYR$1.30) and coming back (MYR $1) at the JB Sentral Interchange. Easy access to surrounding Malls nearby..

The bed sheet as if not changed coz drop of hairs everywhere in the bedsheet. The sofa was so dusty and the floor were dirty.

I was given an updated room at the top floor, and the room was very nice. The breakfast was really good, and I understand it has to appeal to very many different food-cultures. The hotel was extremely difficult to find, do not go into the big supermarket which seems to be designed so that people should not easily find their way out! Stick to the street to the left in front of station entrance and turn right first street to the right, it is 5 minutes to go if you are in a hurry.

If I had rented this room to normal price I would have been disappointed that despite plenty with space there was no proper office desk for work. It is my proposal to the hotel to fix.

Room is clean, there's tv although could have more Malaysian channels, clean bathroom, everything is there including drinks, water bottles. Too bad no bathtub. There's breakfast sahur included and i like the nasi lemak and kway teow. My kids like the cereals alhamdulillah thank you so much. Hopefully place below is safe. Just beside city square mall only. So convenient. Convenience store just downstairs n karak bazaar ramadan is outside🙂
