Design Hotel Modez

We liked the setting of the hotel in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance of the centre. We liked that the windows opened and that they had louvred blinds in addition to curtains. We liked our attic room as we felt like we had our own private space. All the staff were great. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant next door.

The eco friendly elevator was slow and small and the staircase steps were steep and narrow. Each room has it’s own design but the use of a commercial sewing machine table was not really practical as it limited space for a desk.

The staff members were very welcoming and helpful. The vibe was very casual. The attached restaurant was very good and convenient. We like that there was a communal refrigerator to store our food. It was in walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Every room is decorated differently by student designers. It is a great concept and supportive of young people. Our room however was not particularly attractive but clearly functional. If we were to return, I would request another room.

Beds were really good. It's a very quiet studio, the only thing we heard were the birds in the morning. Within a 10 minutes walk you are in the middle of city center, which is perfect. Also, if you walk to the north-west, you will end up in Sonsbeek within 10 minutes, which is a very nice park to have a morning walk and a coffee or lunch.

Although the room was clean enough, there were some things that could be improved. The toilet brush was dirty, some water taps were a little loose. Not a big problem, but things to improve.

Unusual design of the rooms, modern and neat renovation, excellent location, helpful staff. We were delighted!!! except for 1 unpleasant surprise that was waiting for us in the shower room...

When I started using the shower, the drain didn't work and water started to collect. I lifted the lid and was horrified by the amount of dirt/wool/hair..., I was afraid to catch an infection or fungus after such an experience (((Even my friends, the photo I took caused a feeling of nausea...

the bed was very comfortable, linens soft. I liked the cutlery in the cafe where we had breakfast. The breakfast is good and tasty. It consists of fresh juse, several types of salads, eggs and different yogurts. Better to come earlier to get bigger choice. The bar downstairs in the neighbour entrance is very good and we had tasty dinner there.

washstand is in the room and it seems not very comfortable for me. No parking for hotel's visitors, you have to look for the parking nearby the hotel. But it is for free in this area. It took us for about 5-7 minutes to find the parking place for our car.

This is a Design Hotel and hence not traditional but it has style and character and comfortable rooms. There is a Restaurant / Bar immediately below (not connected to the Hotel) which serves out into the shady square. It is centrally located not far from Arnhem Central.

The property has the slowest lift on the planet! Unless you are moving luggage use the stairs. There are only 3 levels so it is not an issue. The lift is big enough for 2 people and luggage or a person in a wheelchair. Also there is no parking at the property apart for drop off pick up.

I was doing the Nijmegen 4 day walk and needed a property to stay in that had kitchen facilities due to early starts in the morning. The studio was in a quiet square and exactly what I required.

It was a first floor studio flat, and coming back after walking was hard climbing the stairs !. Should ask for ground floor next time.

- lovely and uniquely decorated rooms, which are really spacious and perfect for couples - really kind staff - perfectly clean - breakfast was phenomenal with a really nice variety of quality foods (many of them were selfmade) - the location of the hotel gives a perfect opportunity to get to know the musiskwartier of Arnhem

- A/C wasn’t working part timely in one of our rooms, but this is a small problem that could appear at any other location as well

The decor was modern and stylish. The staff were exceptionally friendly. There is a very nice bar/restaurant (owned by the hotel) next door with an excellent range of craft beers. Decent tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Pretty good breakfast. Despite being right next to the railway, the room was very quiet.

The making up of the room could have been done better. Annoying, shallow wash basin with no plug was not ideal for shaving. Not much space to store things.

Room was spacious enough, comfortable bed, clean, quiet place, even though near the railway. Very nice Restaurant downstairs which is open whole day long. Staff is very helpful, in case late arrival, keys are left at the restaurant. Breakfast was very good!
