Hotel do Canal

Although the building seemed to be older from outside, the rooms and interior was very comfy and cozy. Located right at the esplanade, but very quiet at nights. Stunning view of moutain Pico from our room. We were given a small gift from the staff (fresh fruits, water and pastry), that was very nice. Free garage parking for guests.

Lack of vegetables on breakfast, which seems to be general issue in Azores. But it is just a small complaint, the rest of breakfast was nice and rich and regularly refilled.

There was fresh fruit in our room, the staff were very kind and hospitable in every aspect! As we did not like the regular filter coffee at breakfast, so we were served quality coffee with no additional change. We stayed in the hotel for just one night but would like to come back for longer.

The second of our Azorean honeymoon accommodations - Hotel do Canal is wonderful, with an ideal location, friendly and helpful staff, amazing and comfortable rooms and their preparation of our honeymoon surprise in our room was lovely and much appreciated! A must stay for anyone staying in Horta!

Everything was perfect! A very minor remark would be a potential adding to the breakfast's variety but the existing breakfast options are fine overall. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The location was excellent right next to the harbour and the whale watching facilities which is the main reason we went to this hotel. Really good restaurants within walking distance.

The breakfast did not have a lot of choices and was the same most days. Like most hotels no milk is provided in the room for making coffee, rather than asking every day I ended up buying some.

Central location right on the water front. The views of sunrise over Pico were great from the breakfast restaurant. Staff were helpful. Rooms were large and very clean.

Very nice room although our view of the port & Pico was blocked by a large tree! Excellent breakfast. Free parking in their garage. Convenient location.

Very nice hotel just in the center of Horta. Walking distance to all important places. Nice and well equipped room with perfect view, very comfy bed and big bathroom. Wellness center 10-22 free for guests. Very good breakfast. They prepared a surprise for us on our honeymoon, thanks for it :)

You can sometimes hear the noise from other rooms. Not laud, no big problem.

Sockets don't work if you switch lights off (even the key-card is plugged, I had to unscrew the bulbs if I wanted to charge my cell phone overnight). Cleanness in the bathroom should be improved - mainly glass surfaces

Can’t say it is a problem, but the breakfast would have few more options.
