Hotel Chancellor@Orchard

My room had an excellent view of greens, and it was quiet too. Five minutes walk to bus stop in front of Concorde, which can connect me to most places I want to go. Room also had a water dispenser which is a very pleasant surprise.

The room itself should have a mirror, slight inconvenience. Also the hairdryer in the bathroom didn’t work but I had to call the service desk three times for them to finally bring a replacement.

Location was great! Convenient walking to 2 MRT stations, shopping, food. Set back so that it was off Orchard so it was quiet. AC worked well and rooms were large so we had plenty of room to spread out. Nearby Indian restaurant is open 24h - great for my 2a arrival!

We had to switch rooms because they initially gave us a double bed instead of two singles. However, they just brought up a key to the new room so we stayed on the same floor and it was easy to move rooms. Some of our neighbors were loud at times (multiple rooms with kids running around in the hallway) but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Bathroom had a randomly flashing overhead light (possible smoke alarm?).

Hotel is in good location which is near Orchard Road. MRT station is near too.

Not much TV programs.

The staff were very friendly. Rooms were checked and tidied up everyday. Location is very good. We had easy access to all our destinations.

A bit crowded at times, but it isn't the hotel's fault that many people book here.

The location is perfect, very close to 2 MRT stations, plus all the shopping and food options that Orchard Road had to offer. The staff are also very helpful and responsive.

My only one negative feedback is that there is a nightclub downstairs and it can be heard from the 8th floor at 5am. This would only affect rooms on that corner of the of the building and really was the only minor issue I had.

the location is great. Very central, the room was reasonably sized for S’pore and very reasonably priced.

The room and common areas could be cleaner but it’s not hazardous and at the price point, certainly manageable. The sheets and bedding are clean, the towels etc are too. looked at the breakfast, it didn’t look great so didn’t buy it. There are plenty of places to grab food locally so not an issue.

The location was convenient. I’ll visit again next time.

The pool needs complete cleaning, a lot of dirt inside the water… I don’t dare to swim, what a shame. I hope the pool will be sparkly clean next time I visit the hotel. Please consider changing the cleaning fragrance, it doesn’t smell good. Both my family and I don’t like it.
