Gran Hotel Bali

. We booked for a short weekend break away. The hotel was very well situated and although we went for a relaxing weekend there was plenty going on for everyone if you were looking for things to do.. We stayed just for bed and breakfast. The staff were helpful, food was good and even had English tea bags for those English tea drinkers. We are already planning to visit again a bit later in the year. The hotel is very large (43 floors) therefore caters for very large numbers but for the amount of footfall it's kept very well.

We had 2 moans to ourselves, the first one was at the busiest times of the day breakfast and evening dinner where there was a wait to get into the lifts (shear amount of footfall at peak times) all trying to use the lifts at the same time..we waited on the first morning for about 15 minutes stuck on floor 26 trying to get into the lift. Our second moan was the food was a little cold on the second morning and I couldn't see a microwave? I had a quick scan for one but couldn't see it, could have asked a member of staff but felt they were rushed off their feet so chose of to bother them. If there is a microwave I apologise in advance.

Reception staff very poor. Took very long time to check in Pool freezing Omelette chef in downstairs dining very rude and shouted at me

most things. the view from the room was spectacular, the room itself was well furnished and clean. the restaurants and bars were good value.

the wifi in the rooms was intermittent and poor. on booking.com website it says wifi is free. it is in the reception area, but if you want better quality you have to pay a supplement

We visited the hotel in 2005 when it had just opened, and my family wanted to go back to visit it now, as we loved it back then. The rooms were clean, reception staff were very accomodating and the pool facilities are vast.

The hotel does look and feel a little dated now, and rooms do need an overall I think. The food choice wasn't so great and wasnt very warm but we didnt eat until the main crowds were gone.

Food was awful, canteen was far too busy, mainly full of elderly Spanish, didn't feel like a touristy hotel more like a hotel for the locals.

If u wanted some thing central to bars and restraints there’s not much choice but u can get a taxi which is about 11 euros

Lovely location in la Cala, short beautiful walk along the beach to Benidorm. Breakfast always had plenty offerings as did the lunch and dinner. Food can be repetitive if having multiple plates each but we had just one main meaning we always had a new choice each evenings. Could be more variety of food for children, or even a children section but my children did managed to find something on the evenings we ate in hotel. Over a great holiday and child facilities were great, we cannot fault. Would recommend. We had 3 children aged 10, 6 and 5.

My husband has wanted to stsy in this hotel for some years and it didn't disappoint! Food good and staff friendly and helpful. However it was the views that made it special- from the viewing point and from our room - amazing outside lift was fun too! We went in March - don't think I would like it so much in middle of summer though.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We were given an upper floor of the tower which was great.our expectations were met in every way possible.we could not get over the amount and variety of food cooked by your chefs.thank you.the entertainment was first class.thank you.ch3ckin

We were lucky in a way our flight was delayed and we were the only ones checking in.but seeing new guests arrive..eager to get to their rooms.. the check in process is so so slow.must be improved as this will be a negative for your beautiful hotel.

Everything was more than expected

A little busy at the weekend due, I think, to a dancing competition being hosted at the hotel and the fact that the lifts were full during the day and on one occasion my wife and I walked down from the 19th floor and not easy for a couple in their mid 70's
