NH Canciller Ayala Vitoria

The location is really good- the main pedestrian street is reachable in 5 minutes walking to the right side of the main entrance and the old center is less than 10 minutes straight ahead of the door. If you know the noise at the center on a Saturday night, you will not want to stay any nearer. Hotel was luxurious and room very comfortable with a view to the garden. Air conditioning control indicated temperature, even if not digitally. The door to the room bath and toilet was solid and closing with a solid "clunk", just the way I like for full privacy. There was a BATHTUB (top pleasure for me) and you could take, either a bath, or a shower. This is probably because the building was from a time when one could still take a bath in a hotel. Personnel at reception was impeccably polite and helpful. Breakfast very good.

This is a town where most travelers are Spanish and therefore go by car. Nowadays the garage is too small (we actually got one of the last two places). Even though the hotel rooms and restaurant do not show their age, the garage does show its age and needs maintenance and painting. Worse, in the far end where I parked my car the floor was dirty and knowing how impeccably clean the hotel is, it was as if the garage was not part of the premises.

It wasn't too difficult to find parking in the area, but we did arrive after work hours. The hotel is fairly near to all the main sites. We were there to see the great Miureann Nic Amhlaoibh in Teatro Jesús Ibáñez de Matauco, and that was only 20 minutes away. The hotel staff were friendly enough. There are lifts to the upper floors. The room is a good size and fairly clean. The room temperature is good, the bed is comfy, bath with a shower which had an ample supply of water and decent power. Check-in is at the time it should be, 12pm.

No tea-making facilities. A bit pricey for what it is, especially in the winter. The hotel bar doesn't look too lively to hang around it or eat in. There was no vegan food on the menu either. Shame. Would have been nice to eat there or have a beer.

Everything according to NH standards. NH never ceases to surprise: you never know what you're going to find. An average room, or a great room for the same star category. A worn out hotel, or a decent one. They are generally clean, but the services differ very much from one hotel to the other, on the same standard. Pretty interesting case. Although we do have an account directly with them, and all our details are in their books, they never ever deny us the joy of long check-in processes. We really feel special. At this hotel in particular, breakfast was borderline annoying! I lost count of the types of bad to really poor quality breads there were available. Other than that, some other poor quality cheese, worse pastries, no selection of fresh vegetables. The staff were very very nice and kind, though, and made us some omelettes.

Nice friendly staff - particularly at the front desk. Good location for exploring what is a lovely city. Room was a really good size and was quiet at night - despite being road facing. The overall decor is in need of an upgrade but everything works and it was comfortable for our stay.

We have stayed in other NH hotels and the breakfast there has been far superior than the one in this hotel, particularly for those with food allergies (gluten free &/or lactose free).

The location is perfect -- easy walk to the center of town, but still quiet. The hotel parking was full, but there was also a garage just a couple blocks away. Also the facilities, staff, and breakfast were at the high level we've come to expect from NH. We were fully satisfied.

Our only complaint was that there are only two small elevators, and around breakfast and check-out time they were so in demand that we had to wait a long time to get downstairs with our luggage (and walked up and down for breakfast).

The location was perfect. The park across the road was beautiful and a stroll through brought you directly into the centre of the city. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean.

The air con didn't really work effectively and there was insufficient parking. However the reception staff were very helpful in showing us where to park which was only a short walk away.

The location close to downtown is hard to beat. The hotel provides a parking at the premises which was very helpfull. The hotel, being a NH deliver up to the brand. Is a "correct" hotel, where you know what to expect and do not fail to deliver. The breakfast was very good.

Nothing. The check in process was a little slow but I understand this is an issue at NH hotels.

Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Location was good. Espainia plaza was less than 10 mins walk away through Florida Park.

The hotel carpark was already full when I checked in so I had to park at a carpark 5 mins walk away. It was a little inconvenient as I needed to pickup the car and drove back to the hotel to load my luggages after checkout.

Everything was lovely. Especially if you are coming by train, this is the place to stay. (I actually moved from another hotel, which was not terrible, but this one was much, much better.) I also appreciate that the staff was kind, professional, and helpful in general, and specifically in allowing a free late check-out. I also loved the views from my room on one of the upper floors (over the "back" of the hotel).

The location is outstanding. right in front of a park and very close to the historical center with its own charm and plenty of places to eat or have a coffee

it’s not exactly this property problem but we arrived late Saturday night, and although you can park for free on the street, the property parking was full and there was not a single spot in the neighborhood so we had to park in a private parking lot
