The owner is very kind and helpful man, he explained everything thoroughly. Breakfast was served outside the hostel, but it was very delicious and I could taste some Spanish delicacies. The minibar with cold drinks turned out to be a useful facility, because you always have to cool down with something in a hot weather.

Maybe this does not apply directly to the hostel, but the staff of chocolatería where breakfast was served sometimes had a problem using the English language, which meant that they did not always understand the order content. I also do not fully understand the need to insert the card into the special reader in order to turn on electricity in the room. This is the first time I see something like this.

I arrived earlier than my agreed upon check-in time, so no fault to the Hostal my room wasn't ready. However the woman at the front desk was really nice, let me leave my bags and I returned in an hour to a very clean room. The cleaning woman I saw in the mornings was really sweet. The room although not huge was fine for my needs. It was clean the bed comfortable and had a safe in the room. Mini fridge with water etc. (You do have to pay for it) but nice it was there.

The breakfast, it was in a cafe down the street not far, but not a huge selection of breakfast options. The coffee was great but don't expect a large breakfast. You can see a picture of breakfast options on the site. I may have not reviewed that closely enough.

Location, location, location! The perfect spot from where to visit all the interfering and beautiful places in the center of Madrid (and further). Although the room is very small, it is very clean and there are all the necessary facilities. The staff are very kind and welcoming.

The room where I stayed is very small - large people and people with claustrophobia should stay clear! The room overlooked a skylight only, so often I couldn't tell if it was raining outside, and no view at all. But if you are in Madrid for sightseeing, you don't need more than a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom, and this hotel had them both.

I landed in Madrid airport after 9.30pm and therefore checked in late. Prior to my arrival I was sent all the information about how to access the building, the entry code to enter and where my room would be. I also got info about my breakfast menu choice. In fact the manager was still there and helped me checked in. The room and bathroom were cleaned every day. The building is right in the centre of Madrid but you don't get disturbed by the noises from the busy streets nearby. I slept like a log. The bed was also very comfortable.

.Breakfast at separate address. As my Spanish is very limited, I could not understand the waiter who I found extremely rude, consequently I did not have breakfast during my stay.A written menu of possible options would have helped.

Very well located near Gran Via, Mercado de San Miguel, Sol, Opera and Plaza de Mayor + Quiete neighbourhood + Clean and nice staff + Flexibility to welcome me even my flight arrived near 23h00 + Window, climatizer, drinks in fridge with refill & TV

Access information to hotel/room were sent the same day of my flight, it could have been a few days earlier to relieve stress - Ventilation of toilet is turned on when you turn on the light of WC, it wouldn't be a problem if it was silent ventilator - Room size is small compared to the price

hostal simples pero muy bueno y muy bien ubicado. estuvimos 4 dias en 3 personas y no tuvimos ningun problema. La comunicación con la casa de huéspedes fue fácil. caminata rápida a muchos lugares turísticos y cerca de la estación Sol con metro a muchos lugares. the hostal is simple but very cozy and very well located. we stayed in 3 people for 4 days and we had no problems. communication with the guesthouse was easy. quick walk to many tourist spots and close to Sol station with subway to many places.

The location was fantastic and it was quiet at night. The room was smaller than expected although the bed, the bathroom and the cleanliness of the room was exceptional. The staff helped if there were any questions and the experience was wonderful overall. The breakfast experience was absolutely great too in the nearby restaurant/cafe.

The room was small and quite dark due to it's location in the building. This did not cause any issues overall as we only used the room for showering then sleeping.

Very central location - only a few minutes walk to all places of interest. Our room for 3 guests was facing the courtyard and it was very quit from outside. The room is very small but clean. Air conditioner working well. There is even a fridge in the room filled with soft drinks - against additional payment.

The house is old and you can hear all the plumbing: when the neighbors are taking showers it is very noisy. The room is very small - only two of our small suitcases had space on the floor, the rest of the room was occupied by the beds. The staff hardly speaks English in the hotel, as well as in Madrid as a whole.
