Intur Palacio San Martin

fantastic location, room stylish, large and comfortable, breakfast good selection but not worth 20 euros extra. staff were great, especially the reception staff who organised a taxi for 5 to the airport.

my room was missing a few things, I know from what my friends told me they had in their rooms eg. tissues, toiletry items.

The hotel itself was charming, beautiful courtyard, i loved the staircase and the glass elevator. The staff was friendly. The room was big. Water pressure was great. Location was amazing, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I was allowed to leave my luggage after checkout to go roam around the city.

The smell of smoke in the hallway when I arrived (strange because it is a non-smoking hotel), although my room had no smell. My bathroom had hair in a few spots, room wasn't cozy and lacked decor, no full length mirror, wi-fi kept going in and out, mattress was ok but not what I would have expected from a 4 star hotel. My window was overlooking the courtyard, not the main one but another, basically no view and very low day light.

Beds were super comfy and we loved the large toilet that came with a bath tub. Location was great and near many great food and drinks options.

We requested for a double bed and was informed by the hotel that it cannot be guaranteed and we should pay more to upgrade for a double bed room. (Which we did) I stated that this trip was a honeymoon trip and the hotel experience was great but did not exceed expectations. Requested for a quiet room, and generally it is quite a quiet hotel area but you can definitely hear the clock tower ringing every hour which was disruptive for our sleep in the early mornings.

Beautiful hotel with atmosphere in the center of Madrid, excellent location, close everywhere, excellent breakfast and very nice staff

we got a room that was directly to the elevator (bed headboard directly on the wall to the shaft), it was not possible to sleep all night due to repeated sounds, however at the reception they changed our room in the morning without any problems, they also have a night light installed in the room with a rather high light intensity that cannot be turned off, so we had to cover it with a pillow, otherwise who has a good sleep and does not mind light and noise could be satisfied with the room, but someone with troubled sleep just won't sleep all night. The light should have a switch so it is be possible to turn it off. The location of the room by the elevator shaft was probably bad luck, it is not well soundproofed.

Easy breezy check-in, very helpful front desk, room was comfortable and spacious enough with blackout drapes, and really appreciated how quiet it was. We were tired from our travel, but thought we would wake up the first morning at our normal time (6am) - nope, so quiet that we didn't waken until 10am. Luckily, breakfast was until 11 so we were still able to eat before starting our day.

The eggs at breakfast weren't great, but throughout our 2 week stay in Spain this was the norm. Avoid the eggs if you like them cooked, but everything else was very good. Great selection at the breakfast buffet.

The location is great, within walking distance to many attractions. The breakfast is wonderful. the room is big and comfortable. We travel a lot to Europe and this small hotel has a great cost benefit.

The staff were really friendly, going above and beyond with little extras like taking our bags to our room while we had lunch on the terrace. The location was fantastic, easy to walk to all areas around the city. The room was quiet, which was brilliant seeing as it was Pride weekend and there was a great concert taking place in a square nearby but once we got back to the hotel you couldn't tell.

There's not really anything. If I had to be picky, we weren't told about our breakfast options (whether we could add it as an extra once there), but that's all.

Hotel was in an excellent location for connecting with Major streets of Madrid. Close to Main Square and Cathedral. Well appointed rooms with a generous amount of space to really spread out and not feel cluttered in any way. Excellent choice for breakfast with an opportunity for a few cooked items if you wanted. Very friendly waiting staff.

The hotel was without fault I have to say, beautiful rooms, service and staff, the best hotel I've ever stayed in, an absolute pleasure to have stayed in and somewhere I will be definatly recommending to friends and family should they ever visit Madrid. Every member of staff from front of desk, bar Staff and cleaning staff were delightful to deal with and the standards of this hotel were superb. In the centre of Madrid but in a quite square I could not have asked for better.
