Room Mate Alicia

Location is fantastic for a city break, really close to Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. Bustling nightlife a short walk away with lots of restaurants and bars. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Room size was fine for me on my own. Beds really Comfortable and impeccably clean. Highly recommend the hotel.

I hired a car after booking the room, I contacted the hotel to check if there was parking, there wasn’t. They did provide me with a discount voucher for the underground public parking which is €30 which is expensive in my opinion. I really should have checked before hiring the car, not the hotels fault.

The location is perfect. We were up graded to a wonderful room with a view, at no additional charge. Room number 202. The room was spacious, especially for a European hotel. also, a big bonus for us, they helped us arrange our Covid test, for flying back to the US. They came to the hotel and did the test in our room it was only $29 e per test. A big discount from the places we inquired. staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

a bit noisy - sometimes hearing TV from the room next door and what sounded like kids jumping around up above us. Bring ear plugs or play white noise- if you are sensitive to sound.

I had a wonderful experience at Room Mate Alicia. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful going above and beyond when my companion and I fell ill by delivering our needs promptly. The hotel's prime location, combined with spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, and pillows, made our stay enjoyable. The shower was great, and overall, it offered excellent value for money. The good amenities further enhanced our positive impression of Room Mate Alicia.

If I had to point out something, I would probably say the lobby could have a better decoration and usage of the space.

Stay in Junior Suite, Perfect size. Clean, and everything is functional- enough place to put toiletries, luggages etc. , we can chill at the sofa watching out the window into the plaza. It feels basic and clean at first impression but it turns out to be so comfortable. Check in time was 2pm but we arrived at 10am due to early flight and they were so great into letting us check-in early as soon as the room was clean and ready (we got in to our room at around 10:30). Front Reception was amazing. Location was good too, 5-15 min walk to everywhere we need to be.

Breakfast was a bit limited but good enough.

The location is in a safe and enjoyable area, easy to reach other places. The staff at the reception, restaurant and HK was very freindly and helpfull, especially thanks for Gloria and Elena. The room was very chic, cozy and comfortable. We will be returning to this hotel again!

Location was great for us, walking distance to most of the bigger Madrid CBD attractions. Staff very helpful, reception desk employee was great at check in.

Was too warm in the room and we couldn’t get the temperature down without opening windows and propping opens the entry door to get some circulation. Asked for a work around with the air conditioning that we thought was set up for the room, the answer we got was that the thermostat/controller was for heating only. Shower and toilet opens directly into the room, strange design which for some will be a bit off putting. (Privacy!)

Beds were comfortable enough. Air conditioning was perfect. Location is excellent. Right in Plaza Santa Ana which is a great spot for tapas and drinks from morning to night. 5mins walk to Puerta del Sol which is the very centre of Madrid. Staff are very friendly. Rain shower in the room which was nice. Downstairs where you have breakfast, which is ok, transforms into a cool looking sushi restaurant by day. Overall would happily go back!

There is a pool in a nearby hotel I believe. I didn't go there but would be nice to have something like that on site. Space is at a premium though in the centre.

Excellent location; walking distance to arts, outdoor caches, and restaurants

We arrived hours early. Hotel advertised it would try to make a room available if possible. We understood there were no promises. But for over 5 hours we returned to the hotels bf erg it soto ask if a room was ready but were turned away each time until the exact check in time. It did not appear the hotel was making any effort to make a room available. Staff was excellent! Room was very nice, but no effort to help our travel weary selves with a place to rest by making a room available even if only an hour or so. It should not have been advertised as at all possible to check into a room early if there would be no effort to deliver.

Bathroom and bedroom was in same room which wasn’t convenient.

The location of the hotel is perfect: it’s in the middle of most points of interest within walking range. There are numerous restaurants around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable bedding. Having breakfast in the hotel saved us a lot of time. The selection was not overwhelming but sufficient to start your day. The hospitality of Elena ( breakfast manager) was very sweet. The only suggestion would be to add some no pork meats to the menu.
