Hotel Merindad de Olite

The location is brilliant, we loved the traditional feeling to the hotel, breakfast was very nice...

Parking our touring motorcycles was not great, Our friends room was not up to par unfortunately they only had 1 towel in the room and it was a bit small, our room was vast and well turned out so it caused a little tension in the group... The hotel restaurant is nice but the eating offal is not our thing ie Tripe, Pigs trotters etc

I found the mattress in our room way too hard. I know this is a matter of personal preference, but for me, it was kind of painful to lie down in that bed. The breakfast included was a bit underwhelming. The bread and the juice were below the standard you would get having breakfast in a bar.

The decor and quality feel of everything. Comfy bed. Really nice hotel. Basically, everything other than the noise insulation was excellent.

Could hear the man next door doing his best T-Rex impression (for some hours) which, along with the traffic noise which started in the early hours, meant I didn't manage much sleep.

the hotel staff did not speak English nor German and refused to even try being helpful wrong description: the hotel is practically unreachable by car (time limit and very very narrow streets)- you have to park below the old town and walk up with your luggage

This was our second stay at this lovely little hotel, close to the castle at Olite. The hotel is beautifully decorated with charming bedrooms. I would say that the bathroom we had this time was hilariously small but attractively finished. The restaurant is excellent and offers wines from Olite.

Unfortunately, was something banging outside our window all through the night which was annoying. I should have mentioned it at Reception really and this is the only reason I marked it down from 10.

Very friendly welcome Restaurant on site is very good (with good selection of wines) - recommended for diner ; also a good breakfast is served in the restaurant Lots of charm In the middle of town with castle and central square (bars) within 5 minutes walk

Due to extreme weather (heat), airconditioning did not manage and rooms got very hot

The whole place was very good indeed. It is in a very old building and has been converted well, the decor is traditional and it looks antique, the room had a view and the top floor terrace view was lovely. A really good breakfast for the price, I think the best we have had in a Spanish hotel over many years.

The restaurant was closed for a holiday.

Breakfast was OK. Good for the price. Evening meal was good. Staff were attentive and friendly. It seems to have improved since our last visit. I like the family atmosphere. Much better than the impersonal service at the parador and a fraction of the price. Great location.

Served breakfast, but the quality was good. Compared with other hotels where we stayed in Spain this one is somewhat more expensive for what you get.

The terrace on the roof was a bonus and the three windows of our room were lively.

Poor wardrobe with mis matched hangers and complete lack of drawers. Male receptionist extremely slow with constant interruptions in our registration.
