Hostal Rosa

A lovely hostel within walking distance of the beach and old town. There was someone there to greet us when we arrived, who spoke good English, and was helpful. The room was very comfortable, including a large balcony, with table, chairs and a fridge. The shower was also good, and towels and shower gel were provided.

It was noisy on the first night, as our neighbours were talking loudly on the balcony, but they left the following day, and it was quiet after that.

The place was clean and the staff really nice. The location was perfect for me - close to the beach, but also close to the tram stop that goes to Alicante and other coastal towns. The cafe in which the breakfast took place was lovely. There was a bathroom, a fridge and AC in the room - I would say that only a water boiler was missing.

I would definitely extend the offer of the brakfast, it's very limited so I had to pay additionally every time I went. My room was very dark - it didn't really have windows, just balcony door but with a view to a dark courtyard. There was no direct light, so I had to turn on the light even during the day. The smell of the whole place was very peculiar, but it's something I have noticed also in fancy hotels - they use a lot of perfume to cover up other smells, probably smoke from many years ago.

The staff were excellent The shower was AMAZING !!! This hostal deserves more than one star rating. The owner waited for us to arrive which was quite late at night. The vouchers for breakfast were great. The cafe was lovely so were the staff in the cafe and it was no distance at all to go for breakfast. All the staff in the hostal were great. We were supplied with kettles, cups, cutlery what ever we wanted.

The room was quite cold but that was probably because we couldn't work the air conditioning/heater.

Great value place to stay in Villajoyosa. Don’t be put off by the one star rating as we have stayed in many places with higher star ratings than this and they weren’t as good. Situated on a quiet street and just a five minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The room was well decorated, beds were comfortable and the bathroom/shower was excellent and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Would have no hesitation to stay here again on a visit to Villajoyosa.

It was basic but comfortable- cleaned daily if you wanted, air con, own bathroom, little bar fridge and TV. It was a good location to the beach and tram station

It would have been good to be able to make a hot drink with a kettle or even a small microwave

Very clean and comfortable room, staff very pleasant breakfast in a nice cafe a few minutes walk away, friendly staff.all very good for the price.

Area looked little run down to begin with but actually was very friendly area

Excellent stay, Clean room, they have cleaning service every day which is really good, there is a free breakfast included which we took in a bakery 5 mins walk from the hotel, I definitely would recommend to stay here. The Villajoyosa beach is about 8 mins walking distance. Thanks💕

This was undoubtedly a great stay, the room + bathroom were spacious, comfortable and very clean, we even had a balcony. Alex warmly welcomed us and proved attentive and helpful answering all the questions that we had. Breakfast at La Maja was also a very nice treat, we tried their delicious tostadas and a ensaimada. Parking nearby was challenging, we eventually found a spot by Mercadona (~5 min walking from Hostal Rosa), but that took us a while.

Great value! Friendly staff, spotlessly clean ample room, good bathroom, good WiFi, large balcony... What more do you want for the modest price they're asking? Absolutely recommended!

Not much really. You won't easily find a better hostel (which is better than a lot of hotels that cost double or more)!

Good value for money, remote check-in was possible outside the usual check-in hours, helpful staff.

In the evening, if was difficult to find an on-street parking space but parking was available within 5 min walk.
