Friendly, attentive, competent staff. Very nice restaurant with extensive menu of well prepared food. A very "at home" feeling all around. Beds and pillows were perfect We booked the last available room spontaneously during a festival that was delayed and were very glad to have landed here. Will 100% be back next year, same time!!!

It is very hot in July in the area... Although a fan was in the room, and a sort of a/c that functioned only as a fan, like most places in the area, it was still rather warm to sleep. It is not a "dislike", more a fact that comes with the territory.

Hotel is located right under the walls, the room small under the tower. The opposite rooms had a view of the town and the castle (see photo). The staff offered coffee, cappuccino, and tea for breakfast. Breakfast was less rich but sufficient: bread, cheese, ham, honey, nutella, muesli, yoghurt.

Swiss sockets are not compatible with standard European sockets. In the hotel, they didn't have an adapter, they sent me to buy one. Only one person spoke English, the others only Italian.

They upgraded our room without additional charge. Their pizzaria is one of the best in Switzerland. The rooms were comfy and clean. The location was also unbeatable. Loved it, in a no car street close to the train station and the castles.

There was an event going on on the first floor so it was heard and a bit loud on the second floor where we were trying to sleep but the building is old so no high expectations there. It is nice that they are still putting it to good use.

We booked at the last minute (30m prior to arrival) and were greeted warmly by staff who were very busy with a full restaurant. They even got a table ready for us while we settled into the room so that all these weary travelers has to do was walk downstairs and sit down. The meal was excellent, to boot! We also liked the decor, a mix of antique objects and modern art.

Hard to say what we didn't like (and I'm usually rather critical but don't bother to leave reviews). As others mention, the rooms are small and the bathrooms are dated, but when that's what you're expecting you're left pleased by the cleanliness and struck by the proximity to the base of Castel Grande. Our window faced the stone with a tower above but still had plenty of light.

Its location is in center of town. train station is 5 min walk. Room for a single person was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate.

WiFi connection was very bad, almost nonexistent in the room. I had to go to the hallway or to lobby to access the wifi.

The location is perfect, 10 min walk from the station. The room was clean, the personal very friendly and helpful. The breakfast also very good. Restaurant very nice and good food, normally fully booked, but as hotel guests we were given a table, too.

No lift and no air conditioning in the room, but we knew it in advance, so no issue.

The hotel was great with friendly staff and clean rooms. It's centrally located, two of three castles are in walking distance. The hotel is in the pedestrian zone, but the public parking is only 100 meters away. We had a good breakfast from a small buffet, with fresh products, including coffee from the bar.

The rooms are quite small, sufficiently sized for a weekend, not necessarily for a longer stay. There's no elevator, but help with luggage was offered.

We chose the Croce Federale as it was in a central location in Bellizona, readily accessible from the train station. The location is perfect and close to the city centre, with no need for a car. The rooms are clean, if on the small side, but with a good practical use of space and definitely good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would return (and as a matter of fact I have, as this was my second stay).

Nothing in particular. The hotel met my expectations.

A 3 star hotel offering everything one need for a short stay. Room on the smal size, comfortable bed. Walking distance from the train station in the old part of town which is pedestrian. Walk to two castles and and ride to the third one. The restaurant in the hotel offers very good food at reasonable prices.

I liked the hotel’s proximity to the train station and to the area’s three castles. It is in the city center and central to many cultural, shopping and dining options. The restaurant in the hotel is also great! Also, I don’t speak Italian and was relieved to find they had someone on staff who spoke English.
