The view of Lake Geneva was great. The bathroom was a good layout with walk-in shower. Bed was comfortable. Fan was essential to keep room fairly cool.Location, once we found the accommodation, was central and worthwhile.

The Guest House was very hard to find in a side lane with only a small brass plate sign on the front door. Poor instructions were given by the host for access from the train station. He also failed to provide the promised Riviera Card for discounts despite emailing him my details in July and re-sending these by repeat email when we arrived in September. Other guests had their cards waiting for them and I felt ignored/discriminated against. The apartment access was up 2.5 flights of stairs.. Carrying medium sized cases this distance was very difficult for us as older people. No assistance on hand at all, we did not even meet the host. No aircon and room faced west with afternoon sun heating the room. The main town square that the room was above was very noisy until late in the evenings.

The location on the plaza and view of the Lake and Alps was exceptional. Restaurants and shopping were next door. Recreational opportunities were proximate to the location. Bed and shower were great and room was very clean. Daily housekeeping was provided. Great breeze from the lake kept room cool during the night and a room fan was provided. Owner provided Riviera Card Passes that allowed free transportation throughout the area and discounts.

Microwave did not have a dedicated outlet and was not functional during our stay. Issue with electricity sporadic outage during the first night but owner was responsive in troubleshooting and trying to correct the problem. Rest of the stay was fine. Hotel is right on the plaza so would check on scheduled events prior to booking in case you are not looking for a front row seat at a weekend concert for example.

This was the third time we have stayed here, so we highly recommend it! The bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve had the pleasure to sleep in. Check in is done in advance and very well organized. You are given a code to get in the building beforehand and then can retrieve the key from the room. We were very impressed with the communication from Julien in English explaining everything. Tea and coffee facilities were appreciated and products to use in the huge shower! We think this is great value for Switzerland, especially as the location is so great, just behind the place du marche by the lake, but in a quiet street. We didn’t see any other staff apart from the cleaner who was lovely! Pleasantly surprised by how early you can check in and check out is at midday! We will stay again!

It's in a great position. It was an easy walk from the train station, although we had a bit of trouble finding it until we realised the entrance was up a little lane. We were sent a code for the door and had no trouble getting in. We didn't meet any staff while we were there. We'd booked a lake view room and we did indeed have a good view of the lake and the fancy rotating clock. The Alimentarium and the Photographic museum are very close, and there were even people swimming nearby, even though it was November! There were several cafés and restaurants around the big square we overlooked. We had a good pizza at Bla Bla (we were lucky to get a table, I'd advise booking) and a nice breakfast at the friendly boulangerie right by us on the square. The room was clean and spacious, with a good bathroom and shower. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

The entrance door did not always close properly when going in or out and we had to make sure it was pulled closed behind us, which could be a bit of a security issue. We walked in without the code once when a man came out without checking it. However, Vevey seemed a very safe town and there was a good lock on our room, so we weren't too worried.

The location is very close to the lake, ca. 3mins by walk. The market plaza (Place du Marche) is also close. Vevey seems like small town but it is not. Very attractive city, people are so kind. No language barrier. You can see smiling people in every places. The guesthouse is very cozy. My room is a bit small for two people. Facilities are good enough. It would be better to have small kitchen.

Bathroom is too large and the fan in the bathroom is too noisy. Especially shower head and hosepipe, due to leaking water, the water pressure isn't good enough.

The location of the Guesthouse is great, the room a generous size with a beautiful view of the lake over the marketplace. Julien is amazing and was so helpful when we had a mini crisis- we parked our car in the 'wrong' part of the marketplace and it was towed away in the middle of the night!!! So if driving to Vevey, be warned. There is a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays so you cannot park INSIDE THE BLUE line overnight on Monday and Friday . It wasn't really obvious to us when we parked as others were also parked there but clearly moved their car before 5am! If in doubt, leave your phone number and Guesthouse on the dash board and they will, apparently, call before they tow you away!!!!

The room smelled of cigarettes when we arrived so we had to leave the windows open to refresh the room which didn't matter too much as it was warm weather.

Great location!! Just a short walk from the train station and right near the water. Room was very clean and spacious with an upstairs bedroom and main floor balcony. Full kitchen was a bonus as well. Lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby.

Had a bit of a problem locking the room door when we were going out for dinner. Thankfully a guest from another unit was able to show me how to lock the door and remove the key from the lock. Had to lift up on the door handle while turning the key. Not sure if this is a European thing but I had never seen this before. Maybe a mention of it in the room or in one of the emails I had received would have avoided this. Guest who helped me stated that they had an issue when they first arrived as well.

The staff for check in was really nice, top location, nice apartment size, cute balcony, pretty apartment! We could even leave our luggage after check out time to pick up after brunch. access by car is convenient (if the market is over). If needed we will be back

The bed is a little worn off, same for the couch downstairs-the fake leather is coming off and sticking to your skin. And there were dishes in the dishwasher. Upstairs room under the roof was very hot-a fan would be nice. I asked for an extra bed, that was unfortunately not there.

Great location overlooking the lake so within seconds you’re at the lake. Central to town and restaurants are a very short walk. There is no reception but Julien was on hand on WhatsApp and answered my questions very promptly.

Not a dislike, but parking was a little confusing as the main square says max 3hrs until 6pm, then max 4hrs until 10pm so it wasn’t clear if we could leave the car overnight, or that we could leave it for a longer than stated. We ended up moving the car to a multi-storey about 7mins walk away.

Located in the old town part of Vevey in a 400 year old building that had bee modernized inside. The room was quite large with the largest bathroom experienced during our trip. Le Charlot is discreetly located in the old district which made it hard to find even with Google Maps. There is only a small sigh indicating the establishment. Once found everything went OK.

We had a little difficulty with locking the door but with the help of the manager we got t he hang of it.
