Hotel Work Life Residence am Bahnhof

Great room, checkin was quick and friendly, but by check out and wanting to pay with my card I was told that it was already paid with a card I didn't want to use, the lady whom was training someone new and seemed impatient to resume with her apprentice, wasn't flexible at all and was very short with me. I'm fair in leaving this feedback, hotel and room were great, but wont chose this place again for fear to have to deal with that kind of "hospitality" -giver.

Room was very simple - as expected in Switzerland. It worked, was clean, etc. I dont recollect any AC; did have window to open (unscreened - as is typical) - and some noise outside. Had shade to close and keep room very dark - much appreciated. Counter for doing my work was adequate for purpose. Appreciated getting this place for the price and would come back again for sure.

It was great that I got a breakfast included as this price in Winterthur. I would have liked to see some fresh fruit at breakfast. There really was no cut fruit and limited fruit overall.

I really enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good range of bread, cheese, fruit, cereal and other breakfast items. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very new. The hotel is in a perfect spot in Winterthur, close to the train and close to the old city. At first we weren't sure if we would get to the hotel before the reception closed because of our flight, so the staff just emailed an easy access lockbox code so we could get in. We eventually made it on time anyway!

I would have loved a little fridge in the room.

the location !!!! it’s a 3-minute walk from the train station with various shops surrounding it. super practical. the receptionists are super friendly and helpful. the cleanliness was also satisfactory. will definitely consider this hotel if i ever have an overnight stay in Winterthur.

nothing major but would’ve been helpful to have multiple mirrors (e.g. a full body mirror, additional mirror in the bedroom) and not just one in the bathroom. helps when getting ready with friends :)

Very clean room, comfortable bed, big, sturdy desk for working, room service brought a bottle of water every day, very close to the train station and everything relevant in the centre of Winterthur, prompt and considerate staff, quiet, good sound isolation.

My room (406) was on the southern side of the building and it was getting very hot, be it day or night; the bathroom wasn't properly ventilated, so it was always very wet and hot inside.

Excellent location a very short walk to bus and train station. Our room was large, spacious and comfortable. Had a Nespresso machine with coffee milk and sugar supplied. The receptionist was delightful, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and well presented...it would be nice to have a little background music so people aren't afraid to talk. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The hotel was stylish and modern and in a very good location opposite a small shopping mall and other shops and a short walk from the station. I do not think that the glass table lamps were a good practical idea though for a family room. Nice coffee machine with capsules The hotel had a kitchen that was free for guests to use and it was stocked e.g. fridge, cooker, microwave, crockery and cutlery etc. The staff were friendly.

The breakfast was nicely presented and there was a reasonable range of continental food to choose from but some of the food was not covered and it looked like it had been lying around for a while which I found off putting. The breakfast finish time of 9.30 was also a bit early. Overall the room was clean but unfortunately when Iifted the toilet seat I noticed a brown ring around the seat.

Clean rooms, well maintained place.

The reception closes by 21:00, they have checked us in and dropped the keys in the box, however they have missed check in in for the third room. We have arrived at midnight and were trying to reach the hotline number with no response! We were lucky enough to see the owner of the building leaving by that time and tried to call his staff to help us out!

We loved our friendly front desk agent! The front desk girl went beyond her duties and was so understanding in accommodating us and facilitating a comfortable stay with the kids! Very clean and modern rooms. Convenient location if you stay North of Zurich

Would be nice if there was a free parking

self-check-in and check-out is very conveniently organized. the location is perfect, 3 minutes walk from the train station. the room is comfortable and clean. excellent value for money

very noisy from the street at night, even with the window closed. but earplugs saved the situation
