Sea Dance Resort

The staff here were amazing. Really helpful and friendly. The location is great. A 10min taxi to all the best sites and nightlife. Really quiet area. Great for chilling out and relaxing.

The beach is nice and quiet but not really a beach as such. It is very difficult to swim due to the amount of rocks. If it's a beachfront property you want, then this is not for you.

The fusion of engineering and art design is interesting. This resort has style and a perfect ambience for those who seek peace, genuine hospitality, intimacy and service. It has none of the corporate trappings. We loved its position, near to the airport but with no sound pollution; a small bay accessible only to 3 properties. The beach is rocky but easy to access, swim shoes easily solve any issues. The outdoor bathrooms are stylish, functional and well lit. The shower has good pressure and the precautionary mosquito coils were appreciated. As tourism increases in Samui its difficult to find genuine, small properties which have retained strong values. Thank you to all the staff, in particular Toy for providing us with hot Brazil seeds from the garden. The laundry service was also excellent and good value. There is a taxi service and motorcycle hire outside the drive and an excellent massage parlour (Moon) at the junction to the main road. We enjoyed eating quality, well presented food at the hotel and also ate locally at the Pui relax bar. It’s very easy to walk to Choeng Mon bay. Communal taxis can be flagged down along the main road as they pass by and the driver will negotiate a fare as they continue their circuit island route. It’s easy to access nearby resorts if you seek entertainment. We watched a daily yoga class in front of the sea and guests using the kayaks and paddle boards. There was a good selection of books if required. We thought the property was well lit. The fan provided an option in addition to the air conditioning in the room. We loved the ‘welcome’ sign on the bed on arrival. All communal areas were kept immaculate. Thank you for the beach towels in addition to the pool towels. Staff worked daily to clean up any plastic washed up on the shore which was also appreciated.

We loved all of it and would stay again. It’s great value. Even better if: A few more sun beds were available Smoking was restricted at the pool and in the restaurant area. Despite open ventilation smoking encroaches on others. Hair Conditioner would be a bonus but can be purchased at the conveniently located Seven Eleven.

The hotel is in a great location between Chaweng Beach Strip and the more relaxed Choengmon Beach. The hotel staff go beyond expectations to ensure you have a personalised experience. They helped us to celebrate our honeymoon and birthday with thoughtful room decorations, flower arrangements and other surprises. The staff are genuine. The private pool and sea view from our room was a highlight for us. We felt very safe at this resort throughout the day and the night. The resort had live musicians as entertainment most evenings. There were always sun loungers available to use as well as fresh towels. The rooms are well designed and look beautiful.

We had an absolute fantastic stay in this charming hotel. The owner Poy gave us a warm greeting and instantly gave the place a great vibe. The staff is very kind and always there for your questions or concerns. The food and drinks were delicious, the live music with Nok La Fiesta was FANTASTIC. We quite frankly enjoyed being a bit in the nature in this resort. Some people have mentioned the insects and animals you might see. If you want a sterile environment with not a single gecko around, then I wonder if Koh Samui is the right destination for you... Our A/C broke between 11pm and midnight and Poy himself came to help us out. Really shows you that you are not "just another tourist". Btw the entire staff speaks english :)

The hotel was a bit understaffed now with more tourists than before in relation to covid.

Everything, honestly it was perfect and I regret not staying longer. Poy and Lai were so helpful in organizing things for us to do, and they remember your name and make sure to ask how things went. The pool was amazing and so relaxing, the food was the best, honestly the best friend rice, spring rolls and green curry I had. And the cocktails were unbelievable, especially the Pina colada. The room was beautiful with the outdoor shower and toilet and even a view of the sea. Will be sure to come back soon!

Nothing. Everything that I could dislike isn't a fault of the resort. The sand on the beach is a bit too sore to walk on, and the resort is out of the way a bit, but this is great If you want to be a bit secluded. Or just rent a bike. The grab app is good too for taxis, or the staff can organize got you.

The whole experience was beautiful, due to covid closures the place was empty however the staff and serenity made our stay above excellent. Everyone there became like family after a few days it's truly magical. Much love to everyone who works/owns there. We had our own pool however the main pool was so nice and relaxing. Thank you for taking good care of us.

The beach there is not for swimming, but there are free canoes and standup paddleboards. I would suggest cutting the plants shorter around the pool in our room to be able to see the ocean when in the pool.

From the time we arrived to leaving everyone was just brilliant. Kind and welcoming. Our suitcase got delayed in Singapore for 1 day, but we were offered suncream and anything else until t arrived. They were fantastic, highly recommend them. We made new friends during our stay with many staff and guests. A very nice location and looking forward to returning.

Having to leave. Seeing the amount of plastic in the ocean, which isn't Sea Dance's fault. They are constantly cleaning. We as guests need to take responsibility for our oceans too. Many people I saw were helping clean. If we want amazing beaches, we as a society need to preserve it getting into the ocean in the first place.

First of all, above all the great things in this resort, we want to express our gratitude and excitement about the incredible team of Poy and the Sea Dance resort. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a warmhearted and honest smile, this includes every single gardener, the receptionist, the waiters… literally everyone. We felt like home from the first day and will definitely come back if our path will bring us to Koh Samui again. The hole resort itself is beautiful and incredibly tidy. A big team is working on keeping everything in perfect order and this pays off in a clean and beautiful resort with a nice garden, beautiful flowers, clean rooms and a great view on the sea, basically wherever you are. As the travel regulations used to be a bit trickier, due to Covid 19, before we arrived, we have been super grateful to Poy and his team, who proactively answered all questions and helped us complying with all regulations. That helped even weeks before we arrived. It feels like a stay among friends and we already miss the team. The restaurant is actually so good, that we ate 5/7 days in the resort as the food has been excellent, the service superior and the view, music & Ambiente are just the best. And on hot days, you can always jump in the infinity pool before ordering your meal and enjoy a cold refreshment. We can only highly recommend to chose sea dance resort when going to Thailand. A clear 11/10 for our stay! Thank you to everyone from this great team and resort!
