La Quinta by Wyndham Cedar City

This is unlike any La Quinta ever! Not boxy and small rooms. It had nice gardens and paths between the buildings.The room we got was at least 1-2 feet wider and 6-8 feet longer than the usual LaQuinta and it had a walk in closet. The bathroom was not not giant but super functional compared to modern La Quintas. Full breakfast at 7 ao just a tad late.

It was a little higher in price, but I think that reflects to resort like quality of the property. Make our waffles instead of the toaster type. Since breakfast was at 7 am instead of 6 am nearly all guests showed up then and it was noisy and not enough tables. We got one of the 4 outside. And sadly this hotel has been sold and is getting a redo and rename to match the potential of the structures. All to happen some time next year.

The La Quinta was in a great location for attending the Shakespeare Festival. It was right down main street of town. It was very easy access to the hotel. The room was excellent. The breakfast had a good variety. The parking was perfect because you could park very close to the elevators. I loved the keys because they were tap and go. I loved that they had a refrigerator in the rooms. That is a great selling point. The AC system was very good. We walked into a very cold room the first day. The staff is excellent at the front desk. The lobby area and the pictures in the rooms are beautiful.

The elevator felt like a furnace. They do need to fix the air in the elevators. I wasn't crazy about the breakfast but that is my personal reasons. They did have a big variety of hot and cold choices plus they did have several waffle makers. I have not seen that at other hotels.

The staff made the difference. Specifically, Kenna was an absolute all star. My family and I were impressed with her obvious dedication and work ethic. She was always on the move, working hard to make sure the breakfast bar was stocked and then, afterwards, cleaning up and keeping the area spotless. The rest of the staff was really good as well, professional, welcoming, accommodating, and just plain kind! I was particularly impressed that a young staff member was knowledgeable about the owner and the details about the "sister" hotel, the Clarion. There is an obviously strong corporate culture at this facility that manifests itself in the staff and the product they put out every day. Great job!

There was a glitch with the TV satellite service that caused the TV to constantly revert back to the guide making it impossible to watch anything but, to be fair, we didn't report it because we were so busy so not a reflection on the staff or the operation.

very nice room, clean and comfortable. We have animal allergies so they placed us in an upgraded ADA compliant room, super roomy. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient, offered helpful info about the hotel and surrounding area.

They had a nice selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, but no alcohol, which was disappointing because I was looking to relax with a glass of wine after a long day hiking. Pool and spa looked nice but ventilation was poor and the chlorine smell was too strong to enjoy using them. Hallway on 3rd floor had many stains in carpet.

The beds were extremely comfortable. Location was perfect for our needs.

They called us that day to ask for ETA, which I thought was weird. I thought, we’ll maybe they want to be very prepared. There were 4 in our party, and only two bath towels, two hand towels, and no wash cloths. The tissue box was empty. Breakfast was as expected, but milk was warm sitting out in pitchers, but not in bowls of ice to keep it cold.

The best part of our stay was the staff. They went above and beyond, always greeting us and doing extra things to make us feel at home! The hotel was nice other than some peeling wallpaper in the halls. Nice big lobby/breakfast area to hang out or play games in. Rooms were clean and included daily housekeeping if desired. Breakfast was pretty good, ample choices. There were always hot water/coffee/hot chocolate available and fresh warm cookies in the evening.

Just a small thing, there was an extra window in our room that had a covering but still let some light in at night. Not a deal breaker though.

The room was clean, and the location was convenient. Average breakfast.

One issue was that guests were allowing pets to sit at the table for breakfast, and the staff did nothing to address the situation. Additionally, there was only one elevator functioning during my stay, and I had to share it with the housekeeping team and their large carts, which made the trips slow and cumbersome.

Room was very nice and the price was a good value. They had an entrance in the back where you parked and was close to the elevator. One of the nicest hotels on our trip and good value for the money.

The breakfast was on two different walls and people kept having to maneuver around each other. The hot food (eggs, sausage and potatoes) were in small heating pans and you had to take the lid off of one, serve the food to the plate and put the lid back on - for each of the three items. These were the most popular, especially for the men and it took way to long to serve yourself the food and so there was always a line that was blocking the entrance at the side of the kitchenette. They need bigger pans with hot water underneath so you don't have to uncover, serve and cover times three.

They had the best breakfast that I've seen at a hotel in a long time: yogurt, sausage, eggs, fruit, bagels, waffles. It was a large variety of choices. The rooms were clean and the decor was fresh. Gage and Javion gave outstanding customer service. I'd happily stay there again if I'm ever back in Cedar City.

I liked everything.

Room was well sized. Room facilities were well maintained. Bed was confortable. Location in Cedar City was convenient for a quick stop on a road trip! Pool area looked well maintained, but we didn't use. Breakfast fair was standard.

Upon entering the room floor was slightly sticky, likely a result of the cleaning agent.
