Great location. We stayed in a glamping cabin, quiet, comfortable, beautiful view of the forest from our cabin (outside row), nicely appointed. Good aircon and fans. Communal shower and toilet block clean and nice toiletries, paths lit overnight, so easy to get around. Lovely staff. Restaurant well misted with water mist to keep down mosquitoes, I actually wasn't bitten, which is unusual! Bar and restaurant nice. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately, but it looked nice. Could recommend taking a yellow water cruise, and a 4WD tour with Never Never Safari Tours. So much beauty to see near to Cooinda, including Nourlangie Rock Art.

Not having an ensuite! It's amazing how used to having one you get! The dive bombing insects in the restaurant after dark, we were there when the scrub was being burnt nearby for fire control. Recommend eating before dark, or getting a takeaway to your accommodation!

We had a Lodge Family room for the 2 of us, which was spacious with good air con. Onsite restaurant and bistro were good. We had nice meals. The terrace was comfortable with water misters. There are 2 pools with gardens and sun beds. The lodge is a perfect location for the Yellow River cruise excursion, which is a must do whilst in this location. It was also well located following our excursion to Ubirr walk and lookout. Just down the road it is also worth a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

Our room was made up very late, which was disappointing when we returned from our Yellow River cruise and just needed to have a rest. Housekeeping was a little abrupt and discourteous when we asked how long it would be. Until you are there, it's hard to appreciate just how remote everything is. The little town of Jabiru was closed and had nothing to offer outside Cooinda Lodge.

This is a very special location! Staying at a lodge in the middle of Kakadu is unique! So this outweighs relatively basic accommodation options (for a family) and moderately expensive food. We travelled in April, so before “Dry” season. A lot of the park is not accessible during Wet and the lodge similarly offers reduced dining options—food was expensive! Understandably (so remote!), but the lack of options during our stay maybe exacerbated that. That said, buffet breakfast was brilliant! & make sure to ask for the kids menu!

Rooms were in the small side, hard for a family of four with bags! Bathroom was also snug but the shower leaked dreadfully.

We arrived at midday, intent on doing the 1:15 cruise before getting access to our room. The girl on reception was friendly and polite and gave us immediate access which was great. The room was superb, new, modern and spotlessly clean with a lovely terrace outside. The ensuite was spacious and very clean. We did the afternoon cruise on Yellow Water. Plenty of bird life and crocodiles. We drove down to the billabong again later to witness the sunset. Just perfect. In the evening we ordered a Cooinda pizza from the restaurant and ate it on our terrace. It was superb. Great day.

Nothing. This is a superb facility. Btw, I’m from Brisbane Australia, not Hongkong. Booking.com seem incapable of correcting the error. 🙄🙄

I stayed in a glamping tent and it was fantastic! The bed was cosy, the room spacious, and everything was impeccably clean. There was everything I needed plus more - even a mini fridge to store food and a kettle for tea/coffee in the mornings. The shared bathroom/shower facilities were clean and never too busy. I also highly recommend the food at the bar (I never at Mimi’s but just at the restaurant) - previous reviews hadn’t mentioned much about the food but it was phenomenal!! There is only wifi available in this shared communal area, but it worked like a dream. And it was nice being disconnected otherwise! The staff were amazing!! They were accommodating and communicative. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Cooinda lodge is one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend.

It has been very attractively laid out with mature tropical trees and well kept lawns and pathways. The accommodation units are nicely spaced for privacy and offer a range of choices. We stayed in an ensuite lodge which was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a sitting out area. Only it was too hot for us! The restaurant is excellent with a good selection of delicious food. The coffee is very good also. I enjoyed the effort which had been made to incorporate Aussie native fruit and products into specially created meals. Quite delicious and showed that the chef was both creative and innovative. The staff we met with were all incredibly polite and friendly. They looked as they though they enjoyed their job and were happy to be there. They couldn’t do enough for us. All in all, a really well run place to stay and definitely worth paying a visit for the feel good factor.

We found it difficult to find our way around. Everything was signposted but on arrival, it all seemed very confusing. Glamping, lodges, parking areas???

The staff absolutely made our trip! Special thanks to Shivanie, Brianna, Michaela and Aurienne. My fiancé and I got engaged out there and the team made such a beautiful fuss. A bottle of champagne in our room and a lovely note to match. They shared my joy with me and made us feel so special. We’re even thinking of going back there for our wedding. Separate to the great staff was the accomodation. We stayed in the villas, which were amazing. Peaceful and private, with a nice outdoor bath and totally new luxury hotel room facilities inside.

Nothing I didn’t like about the property. More general advice for staying in the region. Definitely worth having a 4WD to get to the good hikes, do a big grocery shop before you come out and buy all your alcohol in Darwin or at the bottle shops on the drive in.

Quality rooms/cabins. Excellent restaurant/bistro/bar. Two nice saltwater pools. Well drilled, uniformed, polite staff suggests excellent management by Accor. Location perfect for exploring Kakadu. Billabongs within walking distance are an attraction (however trails are not marked or maintained).

Need a table/workspace inside the cabin. Local short forest and billabong trails poorly marked and not maintained —these could be a real attraction. Need to provide daily/timely information about area hikes. Some trails were closed during our visit but staff were entirely unaware. Emphasis on Yellow Water Boat Tours is too strong. Should be balanced with bird/nature tours/walks; guide hire; 4wd tours in area, etc. A diversity of offerings would increase the visitor’s return on their stay.

Perfect location (to the attractions) and friendly staff. Free laundry (washer and dryer)

The amenities block could be much better. Whilst none of these below affected us as we are geared for bush camping thus we’re self sufficient. - better cooking facilities (ie more than one small toaster and a 700w microwave) - supply of cutlery and utensils The tents are not insulated (just thick canvas) which meant the aircon struggles to keep the interior cool during the day and early evenings (visited in Oct when peak temperature is 40 deg C) They could also do with better ventilation in the bathrooms and better water pressure in the showers

- Our tent was nicely located on the side, however all other tents had a view on other tents and not nicely on the green as shown in the pictures - Convenient that we had glass doors, letting in a lot of light - Nice swimming pool - Perfect location for yellow river cruise - Clean floor mats for the shower

- No wifi and no telephone signal - Expensive restaurant, small portions and got a half raw hamburger (twice! Even after sending back). - There are no 2 restaurants, they both serve the same (very limited) menu. - Amenditites block quite far and only 3 showers per sexe for all these tents. - NO PROPER KITCHEN FACILITIES! You can't cook dinner here, only on a bbq and there are not even utensils for this. You have to bring that yourselves, but then you would have gone camping! - Expensive tent - AC was not strong enough to cool properly, still hot! - No signs in the park, no efficient walkways
