Great location to explore all the beautiful Kakadu has to offer. Rooms are equipped to give respite from the heat, air conditioning and dehumidifiers, art galleries with local indigenous art on display, restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner
It is a little bit tired, stains on carpets and dodgy door locks on sliding doors to pool and gardens

The rooms were lovely - and clean. The tariff was extremely reasonable for the quality. Great pool, small art gallery in the foyer and a water station at reception, which was a nice touch. The place had a real feel of luxury about it, given its remote location. Plus, there was a supermarket across the road (expensive, but offered fresh sandwiches) and you could walk to an art gallery that served excellent coffee.
The restaurant menu was a bit limited - and offered the same for lunch and dinner. But there was an all-you-can-eat buffet, so diners had choice at dinner. The food itself was very good, especially the a la carte menu. Honestly, that was our only (very minor criticism). I wished we'd stayed there for all four nights in Kakadu instead of moving onto Cooinda, which was an expensive disappointment after the Mercure Croc.

Room was adequate. There is always the risk people, other guests, will sit outside and talk loudly into the night. Fortunately that did not occur but it did occur next morning around 6.45am before breakfast. The dining menu for the evening meal was good. Travelling from Sydney, I was keen to try crocodile, simply grilled, without some chef adding his or her spices. The crocodile dishes all had spices; disappointing. The following night I stayed at Cooinda Lodge; their food was of a very low standard. I would recommend to my family, friends or anyone to stay at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel rather than Cooinda Lodge.
It's written above.

I'm a kid ...I loved the shape of the building the story that goes with it . I love the food who dosnt love a great buffet.. I struggle to leave the croc . The beds are fabulous, there is a bath , the pool is devine , a bar, restaurant open breakfast lunch and dinner and its has its very own art gallery. Local artists coming in regularly during the dry season for demonstrations. Yours can be booked from the front desk from one of the amazing young staff the have there.

Food and service in the restaurant was fantastic the centre courtyard was beautiful the room was very quiet and restful which is very important the gallery was wonderful
the shower over the bath was awkward to get in handout of there was only one pillow on the bed the bench for tea and coffee making was very small, we felt the room needs an update lugging our suitcases up to the first floor

The staff were so lovely and we loved that they had activities such as the easter for kids and easter egg hunt. It was great to see the kids enjoying themselves
Well it was nothing really to do with the hotel but the weather meant that certain places were closed. The hotel is a little dated, the doors look a little worn, especially in our bathroom, paint peeling. But this is just an observation and didn't really ruin our stay.

The hotel is in a great location and will enable you to explore Kakadu from a central position. We stayed 2 nights and covered everything we wanted to do. But would recommend 3 nights in order to make it a more leisurely stay so you can take advantage of the pool, etc. The hotel provides a good buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.
The hotel is a bit tired and overdue for refurbishment. Given its superb location, we were surprised that this has not yet been undertaken, but observing that the town of Jabiru is also a little tired, we guessed that there will be decisions made at some point to develop both the town and the hotel.

It is a unique property, in a unique part of Australia. Our Queen deluxe room was spacious, tasteful and in a good position. The reception and restaurant staff were helpful and efficient, there was a broad range of Aboriginal art for sale, and the tours available were comprehensive.
Though our room was excellent, the bathroom and exterior of hotel was getting rather tired and worn.

The hotel was very comfortable but we feel needs quite a bit of updating. For the price we expected a bit more luxury.
We had booked 2 king rooms and 2 twin rooms for 4 nights and 1 of our king rooms had been swapped to someone else before we got there, very disappointing considering how much we spent and how far ahead I booked. I actually rang a few days before we arrived to check on room configurations and it was as I had booked then.

The shape, really clean rooms, good beds, well covered lovely pool, felt safe, buffet dinner, lovely welcome and farewell from reception staff.
Al a carte dining was not good food. Chef told us chicken should not be cooked properly if it has buttermilk coating. Pool towels were unavailable for a few hours, even after informing them
