We didn’t have breakfast. Property was very clean. Tea coffee facilities excellent. Milk provided. Bottled water provided. Plentiful towels, soap and shampoo. Very comfortable and quiet.

WiFi codes on envelope with our key card, in lockbox. Included was a questionnaire with phone/email details, which we filled in, put in the envelope and posted back in the postbox. Thinking we should do promptly. When we needed WiFi code, at our leisure, no access to them. No reference anywhere in the room or online. irrItating and frustrating. No lack of directions to do, or more likely not to do, in the room. But not the WiFi code.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the room. We had a garden room, and was very convenient for a short walk to grassed areas for our dog. The room was large with dining table, desk, double and single beds, and coffee/tea facilities and even plates and cutlery, which was great for getting take-away and eating comfortably in the room. The beds were super comfortable and very quiet aircon making it easy to get a good nights sleep. The pool was also a welcome sight after a long day in the car.

Nothing to do with the motel, but getting take-away on a Saturday night turned out to be a challenge. Most places had an hour or more wait for food. Just bear this in mind and order early!

Everything was above our expectations. We arrived 11:20pm on new years eve and the owner (Simon) was there waiting for us. Big warm welcome, gave us food because he knew that nothing would be open. Made himself available for Everything. For what we've paid the accommodation was really comfortable. Bed and all the amenities. Super clean. Great space with pool and BBQ. Absolutely recommend 👌

The hosts Simon and Barry were wonderful nothing was too hard for them. Conversation was cheerful watching the tennis whilst eating a state of the art alfresco barbecue with all the trimmings including cheesecakes which almost put everyone into a food coma Children loved the large pool with all the pool toys and music, room to play grass games a perfect way to start the New Year. Rooms were spacious with connecting door that could be opened or shut. close to town yet quiet. Will be coming back to see the plans for the motel Barry snd Simon spoke of come to fruition. For only buying the hotel 35 days ago they have thrown themselves whole heartedly into making guests welcome and comfortable. Wished we could have stayed longer than a stopover on the way to Port Douglas. Next time we are definitely staying longer.

The room was clean and tidy, it had all the necessary facilities, parking right at door which made it handy when dealing with cases etc. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend stay to family.

Unfortunately the showere head fell apart when first used and the TV Remote wouldn't change channels but connection to internet sufficed. All these issues were brought to the notice of staff and remedied without delay so could not fault them.

Great Stay! Simon was brilliant on arrival (and during our stay), any little hiccups regarding payment was sorted brilliantly. Staff couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and really approachable for a chat and took an interest in our travels. Location is brilliant, lovely and quiet and well kept. Rooms are really spacious with great facilities. lovely town to pass through and defiantly worth stopping. Facilities on site where brilliant. can not rate high enough. Wish we could of stayed here longer but will be back for sure. Highly recommend!!!

Honestly Iv stayed at a few motels in Bowen and by far Bluewater motel is the best one. I actually ended up staying longer than I was meant to. Will be staying here again when I come back to Bowen. Also the owner of this motel is amazing one of the nicest people I have ever met 🙂 All the Staff are lovely people

Nothing at all

Great customer service from Simon, we were running few minutes late but he stayed back and showed us around. He offered us complimentary soft drink and juice from the reception fridge. Once we were in the room, we were happily surprised to see how spacious and tidy it was. Everyone was perfect. Nice hot water in the shower, comfortable beds and Netflix to unwind.

Nothing

was a bonus to have access to washing machine and ability to hang clothes on washing line as we had been travelling for 2 weeks. Access to chairs and table out the back of the unit as well as at the front. Would certainly return to this venue. Visited the nearby harbour area for the best seafood - this is a must for any traveller.

Simon was a wonderful host who ensured his guests were looked after. We were in a unique situation where we were stuck due to flooding and he was sympathetic and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious and had a smart TV which was great when feeling stuck in the weather!

The property is a little far from food but the host ensured we could get what we needed - organising the ride himself!
