I was only able to have dinner at the accommodation on one night but the food was tasty and fulfilling. The rooms were very quiet. I was on a room right near the main road / highway and very rarely would be bothered by a louder vehicle. No noise from between rooms. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure etc. Definitely going to book there again whenever I am in town.

The only recommendation I have is to have a compendium for the hotel and facilities and town etc. When I checked in, I was informed about restaurant opening times but after the long drive and with other things on the mind, these can elude your memory. A information guide for guests in each room would be helpful to know about the restaurant times etc.

The temporary managers John and his wife were FANTASTIC. Years of hospitality industry experience at its absolute best was on display in all my dealings and observations. Nothing was too much trouble , we needed an additional car parking spot an the property was fully booked but was not an issue and was dealt with on the spot. Give them both a pay rise The property was excellent. Spotlessly clean , great bathroom and very comfortable bed. On a par with a number of 5 star hotels I have stayed in After a long day on the road the bar and restaurant were exactly what the doctor ordered and were faultless. Reasonable prices, good food selection, fast and friendly service, accurate billing

The rooms were spacious, a big bathroom and extremely comfortable bedding. Easy parking and nice outlook from the back sliding door.

Restaurant service was extremely slow, get there early. Food was tasty.

Very convenient and clean and Wi-Fi signal was strong. Comfortable bed.

The screen door had big holes in it so we weren’t able to get fresh air in the room without bugs. The restaurant at he property was closed so our only choice in town was the roadhouse which is like sitting down eating fried food inside a truck stop. Never saw reception, so cannot rate.

Great country motel with parking right outside the door. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was on the small size, but clean and fresh with a very comfortable bed. It was very quiet at night. The motel had a good restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Like all regional Australia the wifi internet was slow

Very impressed with our stay at the Gidgee Inn. The rooms were large, warm and clean and had undercover parking which was a real bonus. It was very windy during our stay so we didn't have a chance to use the outdoor area but it had a really nice outlook and felt very private. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and although they were understaffed (as are a lot of places), the staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Would definitely stay here again when travelling through Cloncurry

Unfortunately we were woken at 4am by railway staff attempting to reverse park their vehicle (with loud reversing beeps) then having a loud discussion outside our door which was annoying.

The Gidgee Inn was lovely and comfortable. A Great team of Staff members work here. The room we were in was nice and large with everything we needed to make our own breakfast. Having a Microwave and toaster in our room was fantastic. Shower was great with the convenience of added toiletries.

Large room & so good to have chairs & table to sit at. Also appreciated the microwave. Plenty of hanging space for clothes was good. Undercover, spacious parking outside all rooms is a bonus!!

Traffic noise at front rooms so next time I would ask for a room towards the back row.

Great room, very clean and plenty of space. Food was nice and they delivered to our room. We had been on the road since 5am and it was nice to relax in a clean room and a hot shower. The exterior was nicely set up and the children could play hand ball in front of our room. I have already recommended to friends travelling this way in a couple of months.

The rammed earth walls were very cool. The size of the room was good.

It had a toaster but no cutlery or plates etc It is a way out of town but close to an information centre.
