Location near the shops and beach,

Cockroaches crawling on my daughter’s bed and wall at night time, big ants crawling in the floor carpet in the bedroom

The Villas are situated in a pleasant and peaceful location on the esplanade. Walking paths and views of the sea are across the road and the jetty with its seal colony is within walking distance. We were greeted cheerfully upon arrival for our two-night stay. The offer of the small loaf of sourdough bread was appreciated along with the advice for must see locations. (Sadly, we didn’t manage to see them all.) The apartment was spacious, well equipped and was very well presented. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was super comfortable. A garage is attached to the villa or there is also easy parking in front of the villa. Wi-Fi is not available.

While a washing machine is provided, the apartment didn’t have the tumble dryer as listed in the Booking.com confirmation information. Unfortunately, for us it was a rainy time and the use of the outside line was not possible making the drying of our washed clothes a challenge.

We had an amazing stay at Villas on the Bay. The rooms were spacious and clean, with modern décor that made me feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable - We slept like a baby every night! The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. We also loved the location; it is conveniently situated on the esplanade close to the Kingscote town centre. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our trip to Kangaroo Island.

Maybe a chain door latch would have been helpful as our three year old wanted to go off exploring on his own and was able to open the door easily.

I liked how easily accessible this place was along with the friendly owners of this establishment. Ample amount of room space and common area to hang out.

We have fixed some clogging of hair within the sink that was filled from the previous tenants. There was also no lock for the bathroom which was a concern for privacy. Wished the suction of the stovetop hood was stronger as we were cooking lots for the duration of our stay.

The size of the villa was perfect, the beds were comfy, the heating/cooling systems were heaven sent and check in was a breeze, I 100% would recommend anyone who wants to stay in Kingscote to check this place out, everyone who stayed in the villa felt very safe and secure with our motorbikes in a garage with a rolling door, by far the best accommodation iv ever had

I didn't like that I didn't stay longer, I seriously can not fault anything, I'm very happy with the stay

It was amazing! Beautiful views with the beach front. Spacious, very comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets. Perfect water pressure in shower. Loved the electric BBQ! And of course the sour dough bread.. thank you so much for that!! And not to forget the very friendly hosts, thank you so much for the hospitality. Will definitely return and spread the word to fellow friends and family.

Stove turns off quickly, takes a while to cook food.

The best out of our stay in Adelaide. Lovely well maintained and clean house with a huge kitchen. Lots of attention to detail which we appreciate - gave us cereals and jams for breakfast, had a good variety of kitchen utensils/ pots/ cutlery, had kitchen roll, foil, baking paper, scissors- literally everything you would have at home ( we cook a lot when we travel so missing things here and there is a bit of a bother). Right next to the beach, and the owner was lovely. Had menus for all the food shops in town which was helpful. Good price too. Would 100% recommend staying here

The location is excellent, locating next to the beach. Very close to petrol stations. Well- equipped kitchen with complimentary milk and cereal. The villa was well-furnished and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay on KI. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

The bathroom light was dim unless the heat lamp was on. It works well in winter but it would not be energy efficient in the warmer months.

Wow! The apartment was just a beautiful place to stay with everything we needed and then some. It was lovely and quiet at night, not far from the town centre if the weather had allowed us to walk, and a great base for exploring the island each day of our 4-day stay. Clean, spacious, comfy and homely with a great back courtyard, nice wide secure carpark with remote door and internal access, plenty of storage spaces, full laundry including soap, great telly, a table to do computer work, aircon in both the living and bedroom for the cold nights and extra pillows, We loved the extra touches like the phin coffee device and ground coffee (plus instructions), small loaf of YUMMY sourdough on arrival, good brekky supplies with real butter and a full litre of milk, great bathroom supplies and even having an oven and cooking equipment and supplies like alfoil, glad wrap, paper towels and tissues was a nice touch.

We found the softness of the bed a surprise the first night, but then slept really well.

Our stay at Villas on The Bay in Kingscote was superb. The accommodations were generously spacious, impeccably clean, and wonderfully comfortable, with luxurious bed linens. Additionally, the location was fantastic, offering easy access to bars, restaurants, and the jetty, all within walking distance.

Additional coffee mugs and dinner plates to help conserve water and reduce the frequency of dishwasher use.
