The hosts (Sha and her husband) were so welcoming on our arrival, explained in detail all the facilities available to us, where to shop and all the local sights of interest - including where to spot the kangaroos and emu. They couldn't be more helpful if they tried, nothing is ever too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless, bottled water supplied daily, continental breakfast superb. Whilst we were here the temperature was averaging 43 degrees so when we went to the National Park for 6am,our breakfast was placed in the fridge for our return. BBQ available to use, which we did twice. Beautiful patio and pool area. Would highly recommend and if we lived closer we would definitely return. Jane and Steve, Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, UK.

An excellent choice for a stay in Kalbarri... the design, layout and quality of everything in the room was top notch. The bed linen was high thread count cotton (very cool and comfortable) and the layout of the room, with spa bath and vanity sink etc was great. Separate toilet and shower. Sha and her husband are doing a great job running the place and nothing was too much trouble... the fruit salad for breakfast was superb and along with cereals, toast, etc was more than enough. The small plunge pool was also good for a bit of sunbathing (pool and beach towels provided) and a cooling dip after a days sightseeing. We stayed 6 nights and had time to do everything we wanted to do and see... a short stay (e.g. overnight) would not be enough to enjoy all this lovely town and Namburg National Park has to offer. A really excellent stay...

There was nothing that we didnt like...

This lodge is ideal for couples who just want time out without the kids, it only contains 5 apartments and the hosts are extremely lovely and helpful. Sha and her family treated each guest as they were part of the family, she even makes her own breads and cakes and you can help your self to morning or afternoon tea free of charge. Great location to the beach and town centre just a 5 min walk either way. They also offer the use of bicycles, canoes & scuba gear.

Nothing to complain about here, wish I could have stayed longer. Definately be back, just check when you go that all the tourist attractions are open for business.

Fantastic family-run accommodation. Sha and her family were very friendly, and welcoming, and provided an excellent variety for breakfast, she went above and beyond and freshly baked muffins and cakes were provided every day for morning/afternoon tea. We were a group of 10, staying for 8 nights, we had multiple rooms, all excellent facilities and spacious. The linen was clean and fresh and changed on request. All aspects - high quality.

I first noticed the many gecko decorations, including ceramics along the windows ledge, paintings on the wall, 3 geckos next to the door for unit 3, and a soft toy gecko hanging on the toilet roll, making me jump. The room and bathroom were spacious, the king size bed was comfy with silky sheets, and the breakfast was delicious, including the fresh fruit salad and the coffee with a chocolate topping sprinkled in a gecko shape.

Beautifully presented with friendly hospitality by Sha. Honestly, nothing you could want for is too much trouble. Not that a i could think of anything. Everything catered for. Welcoming freshly baked cake and beverage was not needed but appreciated. Continental breakfast a delight. All individually served including freshly cut up tropical fruit. Many other venues could take lessons from Sha.

This is an amazing Bed and Breakfast, located just outside the township in a quiet area. The rooms we spacious and had everything you could need, the bed was comfy and the double shower was amazing. Great water pressure too which is always good. The breakfast was served in a breakfast room so we got to chat to the owner and other guests over a bowl of fresh fruit, personally prepared by the owner (some grown by her). Toast and cereal was also on offer and coffee was made for each individual.

The only thing we didn't like is that we couldn't stay longer.

Sha and David are so attentive to every need providing a delicious fresh fruit salad with breakfast each morning. The upstairs apartment is very spacious and well appointed. Gecko Lodge is very popular for good reason. Thanks for our stay.

There are only water glimpses from the penthouse but with an easy stroll to the foreshore and ocean walkways as well as restaurants we were easily tempted out.

Sha is an exceptional host and property owner who clearly goes out of her way to welcome and look after her guests. From the fantastic lounge facilities, complimentary afternoon teas each day, "help yourself anytime"tean and coffee facilities to the other lovely touches like chocolates and wonderful presentation of the rooms. Gecko lodge is a great place to stay, close to everything yet quiet and private.

Nothing

We stayed in a king room with a spa bath, microwave oven, and small refrigerator. It (unit #4) was very quiet since it is not connected to the rest of the building. The king bed was very comfortable. The shower had good pressure and a steady temperature. Besides the bath towels, they provided two face cloths, two hand towels, and two pool towels. Cut fresh fruit was provided with the continental breakfast in the dining area. There is a lounge beside the breakfast area that guests can use. The location is good because it is in a quiet neighborhood, but it is also within walking distance of several good eateries including a very good bakery. The owners are very nice.

The fridge was not plugged in when we arrived. The owner fixed that right away but didn't notice that the tray under the freezer compartment was full of water. Later, when I tried to take the tray out to empty it, water spilled in the fridge and on the floor. So I felt I had to clean up that mess. Parking was a little tight. There was no dish towel provided, but since we had paper towels with us, we used some of those to dry dishes. There was no iron or ironing board in the room, though I surmise we could have used those in the laundry room. That felt awkward though, so we decided to do our ironing at our next destination. Future guests should know that the outdoor pool is small (we didn't use it).
