This was our second stay at the Premier Mill Hotel. It is the most amazingly designed hotel that takes full advantage of its history, but with a modern twist. The shared spaces, bar and lounge area (with a slow combustion fire place) are very inviting and comfortable. There is a surprising twist around every corner of the building. You feel like you could be absolutely anywhere in the world when you walk through the entrance. You need to see it to believe it. 5 stars also for the Dome Cafe and the amazing breakfasts and dinners we enjoyed there.

Everything is perfect. Nothing could make it a better stay.

Not sure how to answer this, since breakfast wasn't provided as part of our stay, which seems to be implied in the question. (But now I cannot see what I thought I saw, which mentioned breakfast!) My wife enjoyed hers, but my muesli with yoghurt was VERY short on yoghurt, & the toasted muesli - as I ordered - was far too hard. The fruits were excellent. Coffee was really good - I had three flat whites so should know! From when The Mill first opened I expected a 'fine dining' restaurant. As a pub-styled menu it works, but not what we expected. All staff were fabulous, especially the young fellow in the basement bar - an exceptional space, with exceptional service. We were astonished to hear that until our visit, nobody had ever ordered a Reisling or a chardonnay! Abdul went out of his way to secure an aged Reisling, which was incredibly enjoyable. Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay, if brief. I do not want this shared online or wherever, other than among The Mill's staff & management. Thank you.

See above.

Once again loved staying in the Premier Mill - what an asset for Katanning, having a 4-5 star hotel in the middle of the wheatbelt. The most comfortable, well appointed rooms and superb bathroom/shower facilities. Love the Cordial Bar which has a unique atmosphere and a collection of locals to keep you entertained. The attached Dome has a wide and varied menu and does all the classics for breakfast and plenty of choices for lunch/dinner. The service was impressively fast and efficient and the presentation and quality of the food was as good as anything in the City.

There were some key items missing from the Bar menu (eg Tequila for the Tommy's Margarita!). Not too sure about the dead cat in the bar cabinet either! Otherwise was very happy with the hotel, bar and Dome restaurant.

It was exactly what we needed to get away for the long weekend. They had Dome just downstairs and they also had the cordial bar in the same building. The rooms were so lovely, the staff were lovely. The room had a Chromecast so we were able to watch movies and tv shows on the tv which was awesome. They also had a guest vault just around the corner from our room where we could top up with towels and make a coffee etc.

We tried to get some water from the guest vault but the tap wasn't working which I assumed was the filtered water and the main tap water didn't look good but it wasn't a big deal, we just bought some water. We probably should of asked the reception about it so it really isn't a big deal.

It's the best location, Dome Cafe downstairs, also below that the Cordial Bar. The whole vibe was great. A very comfy room, down the hall, we had a valet room, where you could make tea or plunger coffee, fresh fruit was provided there. From the glass bottled water in our room to the fresh milk in a glass bottle, is fitting for the location. There is an elevator to get you to your floor. Easy access off the street, plenty off parking..the list goes on

Our time there was too short

The way the property has beed reno'd is absolutely excellent, a fantastic mix of old meets new. Room was adequate, just a couple of small disappointments. The reception area is very lacking although the staff were superb, the Cordial bar was lovely.

The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in your room was a huge disappointment, it basically means you can't have a cup of tea in bed late in the evening, or early in the morning. Having almost no control over the air conditioning, (it's centrally controlled), Left is with a slightly chilly room both in the evening and early morning. Considering the above, we felt the price was too expensive, we stayed in many places at half the price that provide this.

Stunning renovation and interior design. Modern yet historical. Nothing really to do in the town, we stayed the night after climbing Bluff Knoll and it was perfect to recoup afterwards. Friendly staff, good hospitality and service, great amenities in room and pantry. Downstairs bar was great with fantastic choice of drinks and cocktails. Food was okay, would recommend downstairs bar for food as the Dome cafe is basic and overpriced and haven’t had a good experience with each one we have been in, particularly with regard to service.

Dome cafe is basic and overpriced. No wardrobes, however, we didn’t require for one night stay. No rooms here have a bath. Do have to use the shared “pantry” on your floor to make a hot drink as no kettle in the rooms due to limited space but the pantry was well stocked and had amenities such as iron etc. which you can take to your room and put back afterwards. The lighting in the rooms are more of a mood lighting so the rooms are quite dark when curtains are closed. All of these points are a stretch, it was a great stay overall and would recommend.

If one is in Katanning requiring accommodation then the Premier Mill Hotel cannot be faulted. The room decor was very smart and indeed modern whilst sympathetic to the grand old building (the former flour mill) in which the hotel is based. The way in which various original features of the fabric of the building and the milling machinery have been retained and made features of is really, really good.

This is to nitpick really and I am only putting this as a thing I 'didn't like' because the form I am filling in seems to require it. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. This did not bother me at all and a very short stroll down the hall there was a tea and coffee making station with everything one would need to make cafetière coffee or a cup of tea.

The room was exceptional, well sized, extremely comfortable, enormous balcony, amenities were five star & I loved the amenities room with tea/coffee making facilities. I love the incorporation of the original Mill machinery & exposed workings, it’s like a taste of Katanning history staying here. The renovation from old mill to hotel was expertly constructed. It has a totally relaxed vibe, staff are great, also I left my iPad in the room on check out & got a phone call very quickly to notify me before I left the area, most appreciated, all in all I really enjoyed my stay.

Although it was a 5 star vintage experience, thought it was a little over priced. One suggestion is to have a staff member check the amenities room & clean regularly as some guests just left their coffee pot/ mugs on the bench, not even washed up.

Location was good, although parking was not secure ie public parking across the road. Dinner and breakfast was excellent and good value. The hotel had been furnished and renovated beautifully. The hotel was very different, clean, modern and comfortable. The information box was a really nice touch. Underground bar was great, but took forever to get a drink - staff problems.

The lights in the room and the decor, particularly in the bathroom were very dark. Would have been good to have dimmers on some of the lights. Being very short sighted, I had to move very carefully in the bathroom and the shower floor was very slippery. Quite frankly, the refrigerator was an embarrassment to the hotel - so small as to fit one bottle of water and maybe a chocolate bar.
