The staff was very friendly and happy themselves which was a refreshing change from what I experienced in American hotels

It was difficult to book activities. I felt lied to, I went to book a water sport and the staff said they only take same day bookings. The next morning I went as they opened to book the watercraft and the staff was very evasive of the questions I asked and then said a large group booked it in advance already. I wasn’t a fan of being lied to by the same staff member two days in a row.

1. Rooms are not well maintained. (The door to the bathroom has seen better days, old, stained, rusted handle. Calking around the sink is super sloppy. Safe doesn’t work. The bolting lock in the door also doesn’t work. Lay out of the bathroom is odd: the door stopper is right as you exist from the shower) But the shower was probably recently redone as it was good. To clarify - it is clean just in so-so condition. 2. Long check in line.

The staff remembers you and makes sure to include you in daily activities. They’re not letting you leave without enjoying yourself. Food was nice, drinks exceptional, and there is always something to do. Honestly, we did not wanna leave.

Front of the house needs a bit more training and/or motivation to work as customer service was extremely poor. I did not get the room I booked and I expected the entire trip to be terrible due to our check in experience but fortunately, the staff on property made up for everything.

The Viva Fortuna Beach was clean, modern and comfortable. It is right by the ocean. The staff are friendly and work very hard. The resort grounds have beautiful plants. They have an entertainment team who perform most nights. The shows were spectacular. When I had a problem it was addressed quickly and in a professional manner. Previous to booking I read some reviews that said the property was old. And sheets were not clean. This isn’t the case at all. If I had paid attention to these reviews I would have missed out on a wonderful experience.

The property is far from other shops and places of interest. You either need a taxi or to hire a car to get anywhere. There is no public transport. There are a lot of activities. But if it rains the activities are reduced because many are either held outside or off site.

The ambience was perfect,it was very relaxing and comfy.

The security at the gate was really rude. There is a way to grasp attention without shouting and making someone feel like criminal.

In general it is a wonderfull place, the beach is amazing, the bar in the beach has really good burgers. The Staff are really nice people, always smiling and a little bit too relax. The pool and the hot tub are big enough to enjoy

1. Well, we had a problem with the room. The first room they assign us was not clean. Because of that they assgned us a second room, which was also not clean and had some issues in the shower ceiling. After this, they gave us a pretty nice room with an excellent ocean view, that blowed our minds. 2. There wasn´t enough variety of food, but it was all right. 3. I traveled with my girlfriend, and I planned to ask her for marriage, So, I reserved a romantic dinner at the beach ( supposed to be a surprise) and when we were doing the check in, the guy from front desk asked me in front of her if a wanted to pay for the romantic dinner, and he even said the price of the dinner. So, he ruined the surprise. lol

Without the staff, this hotel would be nothing! We truly felt so welcomed the second we walked In. From the lovely welcome at reception, to the restaurant staff ALL OF THEM! In every restaurant were just so happy, friendly and helpful. The bar staff ALWAYS brought the fun and smiles. But my main fondness came from the house keeping ladies. I felt like they became my holiday mums! So kind, always fresh clean towels. Even left me a little flower on my bed. So lovely.

It was a touch basic. But, you know you’re not going to a sandals resort so it is what it is! Ahaha.

The staff was friendly. Some complain about the rooms, but ours was very good. I think it was renovated. The food was pretty good. The entertainment was excellent. We had a great time overall.

Bathroom had a bad smell sometimes. Food was fine but often repeating same meals.

lack of Bahamian staff and no Bahamian theme. the resort is located on a Bahamian island should have had Bahamian entertainment, music and food was also disappointed that the alcoholic beverages was not up to standard snd when asked if we can purchase what they called membership drinks we were declined so we had to purchase off property and keep in room
