The mosquitos. It's understandable because of the water and plantation. I would recommend taking insect repellent. This will not stop me from going back

Garden needs some attention and hammocks would be great.

Very peaceful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed eating at the restaurant - the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was fairly sized in a beautiful garden setting. The pool was big and refreshing - at first it looks really murky but once you get in, you realise the water is really clean, it's just a stone design to fit in with the jungle theme. For breakfast, eggs were to order, which was great.

Water was cold in the shower. Ants in the bread at breakfast (as soon as we mentioned this, they made fresh bread straight away). Nowhere to dry clothes. The rooms are slightly more dated than the pictures but still nice.

Staff is very kind, the place is very quiet n confortable. The pool is great n the food is excellent.

It's a little bit far from the city. Concerning the excursions, they offer different tours but be aware that once you paid the tour by itself you still have to pay fees or "donations" wherever you stop, which make it pretty expensive at the end of the day. The tour was great but I would have preferred to be informed at the reservation n not once I was sat in the tuktuk.

Loved the property - great value for money. Rooms and bathrooms were very spacious. They had interconnecting rooms for our family of 5. The property and the pool were well maintained. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Staff were very helpful. Really liked that they provided water in reusable bottles and had an easily accessible refill option. Breakfasts were huge. Approx 20 mins walk to downtown, but easy to organise a tuk tuk.

Given how well the property was maintained inside, it was a shame that the street front still had plenty of litter around (rubbish tends to be common on the streets).

Everything was excellent! Breakfast was always great, pool was so relaxing, our room with the table overlooking the pool just wonderful since we love to sit outside. For travelers, the filtered water for our water bottles is always very much appreciated. The Sanctuary Villa is a very appropriate name for this wonderful gem in Battambang. Just a GREAT place to relax and chill out! So enjoyed the gardens and all the landscaping....plants around the pool and in the front garden. Very well done. Staff very helpful. Wonderful tuk tuk drivers picked us up at the bus station & toured the area.

We both did a massage. Very nice separate space. We both thought the massages could have been better. Although the Villa is quite a distance from the city center, it was also part of it's charm.....so quiet and secluded.

This hotel has lovely rooms and lives up to its namesake of being a "sanctuary." The cabanas are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the setting is peaceful. Good value for the price.

This property was a bit further out of town than I would've liked. I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to walk to dinner from here. This wasn't the hotel's fault. But, the property looks closer in in the map than it felt. The food cooked at the property was so-so (even if the cook was nice).

We have a connected room, both room have massive space and queen size bed, bed is comfortable but have some pilling on bed sheet. Bath room is big, shower water big and hot but only have showerhead, I prefer to have a hand shower. Breakfast not so variety but acceptable. double bed room have a small private pool with glasses roof is impressive but is shame the day we stay can not see the stars at night.

Tower is over used become very thin and dirty feel. When shower have a very big ants on the wall.. a bit scary they fall on me. air conditioning not work very well, only certain part of room can feel it works that make night time a bit tough to fall asleep.

We were two female guests. One American, one German. Our overall stay in Cambodia was 20 days. Pros: This hotel is located in a lovely natural garden setting, and they did well incorporating the plantings into the large pool area. Pool is clean and has both shade and sun. When guest count is low, the hotel serves individual breakfasts (with multiple choices) and when guest count is high they serve a very good buffet. The hotel also has a restaurant with tasty food. We appreciated the existing of a machine that produced clean drinking water.

Beds in the hotel were quite hard.

Tranquil and beautiful space with lots of tropical plants. It felt like we were at a mini resort without the unnecessary frills. Staff was very kind and accommodating — we booked a day tour of Battambang through them and they provided an excellent rickshaw driver/guide. the room itself was very spacious and lovely, with large windows to let in light but also curtains for privacy. Having a bathtub was really nice, in addition to the shower option. WiFi was fast and reliable and it was nice to have a self-serve filtered water station just outside the room, to fill up our water anytime. The pool looked lovely but we didn’t get a chance to take swim (although we saw another guest enjoying it). Breakfast was excellent quality. The property is about a 20 minute walk from the main city center but we easily booked a 5 minute tuk tuk ride (for about $1 one way) through a rideshare app. Would definitely recommend!

nothing really. the bathroom is a bit older (but it’s clean) and there isn’t really any hot water, but we didn’t mind with the warm weather outside.
