Exceptional location with spectacular views. Valet parking was swift and friendly. Hotel staff was professional and friendly. Hotel restaurants had excellent food with excellent wine selections. Hotel bars were excellent as well. We didn't use the spa but enjoyed a 1 hour sleigh ride along the lake. Outdoor ice bar and firepits were very small and often crowded but they were a nice touch for winter. Outdoor ice rink on Lake Louise was amazing - bucket-list type experience! Room service was fairly quick (30 min) and was served hot and fresh. Loved the Fairmont toiletries (Le Labo Rose 31 scented). Room and bathroom were neutral colored and clean but very small. Lake view from room was excellent. Bed, linens and pillows were soft and clean. Free WiFi was fast enough to stream video with good quality.

Our standard king room with lake view was very small. Obviously, the nightly rate reflects the high quality of the location and the attendant staff it takes to operate a Fairmont resort. The room's en-suite bathroom had to be the smallest, most compact bathroom of any hotel I've ever stayed in North America. Hotel restaurants and bars had oddly timed closings throughout the day to reset staff and facilities - although there was usually another hotel restaurant open nearby. Hotel TV was old and had difficulty showing regular 2023 content. The hotel TV's guide listings were mostly incorrect - listing shows that weren't on or channels that weren't there. Taken together, all of these were minor annoyances vs the hotel's stunning location and views.

I’ve looked at this iconic building for years and dreamt of going there. It actually exceeded my expectations! Wow what a wonderful place to stay, I actually felt privileged. Lake Louise was just breathtaking, the colour was stunning. We canoed on it and walked round it, it’s a different colour from every angle. The shops in the hotel, the restaurants and bars…you don’t need to step foot outside. The staff were super friendly and pleased to meet us, our stay was one I shall remember forever and treasure that memory too.

It was a little pricey but in my opinion worth it for the experience.

The property and the scenery were wonderful. The lake is stunning and the morning reflections of the mountains in the lake are just beautiful. We stayed 3 nights and many people come for the day. I decided that it was worth paying the price to stay. The view changes all the time and we were really fortunate to be there to capture the many different scenes that the lake had to offer.

The hotel rooms don’t have Airconditioning. That is a big deal if the summer is warm. That wasn’t mentioned anywhere and it is a lot to pay for no AC. They tried to solve the problem with portable air units in some of the rooms. It did help but they are extremely noisy.

We stayed here as a surprise for my mum and dads anniversary as part of our trip. The setting of the hotel is in a class of its own, and you have access to Lake Louise all day/night. This is definitely what you are paying for as well as the experience. Our room was spectacular and overlooked the Lake. Staff were lovely. We had dinner at Alpine Social which was really good. They surprised mum and dad with a lovey celebratory dessert which was appreciated. Very special shout out to McKenzie Manning who works in the hotel, but we actually met her at Lake Louise waterfront, she was so kind and chatted with us, took pictures. We went on for a walk but when coming back into the hotel she caught up with us and gave milt mum and dad a lovely picture that she had just finished. She just made mum and dad feel really special even when she wasn’t working! Thank you McKenzie x

The pool, for a hotel of this size it’s is a bit disappointing- I know that there is a new spa/ pool complex being built currently. There was a lot of construction at the front of the hotel but didn’t negatively impact our stay in any way.

The location is perfect. Many people will not be able to visit because of the lack of parking. The restaurants were amazing. Very pricy at the Walliser Stuber. We had a wonderful dinner there

The hotel does not have air conditioning. It was a very hot two night in our room. The window did not open very wide and ventilation was terrible. They did have a Dyson fan that we prop our door open because the hallway was 15 degrees cooler. We called the front the desk and they asked us to talk to the manager. But we had dinner reservations and early morning hike planned. We did not have to to move. I did hear that the construction at the lake view rooms was even worse

The food was fantastic. We loved the gold lounge and would highly recommend it to everyone as it made our stay super special and comfortable. The staff were all super helpful and friendly and the Lake is spectacular!

The pool and spa facilities need a facelift - I was expecting better to be honest. And I was a bit sad that there was building work going on outside and they were painting right outside our window whilst we were there. We also had a wobbly toilet as the fixing had gone. I think you expect perfection when you’re paying almost $2000 a night for a hotel room. Other than that we were happy with the experience.

The staff here is wonderful and the views from the hotel are amazing. Great access to hiking! The food is also really good. We had room service, breakfast and a dinner at the Lake Louise vista restaurant

The hotel needs an upgrade. The shower was hot and cold, our toilet would run if we didn’t jiggle the handle and our room was terribly hot since the sun blazed in all day. Even with our window open and the blinds drawn it was still very hot. The lake view rooms are much cooler but there wasn’t one available when we stayed. For the price per night you should be getting more. The staff location and food made up for it and we did have a great stay. But remember it’s an old hotel and it shows

The room was clean and came with a lot of nice amenities, including a Nespresso, glassware, and robes. It was great to be able to walk out and be right at Lake Louise. We were able to take a hike along the river and up to the Plain of Six Glaciers. We also took advantage of roasting marshmallows at the fire and the indoor hot tub and pool.

It was nice that a portable air conditioner was provided because it got warm but it required keeping the window open to use it and you could hear sounds from all the visitors coming to the lake early in the morning.

Staying at The Fairmont is a bucket list experience. Such an incredible setting. The hotel itself has an old world grandeur. Staff were lovely, the buffet breakfast at Louiza was excellent and our children loved the interactive scavenger hunt around the hotel. The view from every window is to die for.

If I had to be critical, the room, compared to other 5 star hotels I've stayed in, was relatively small but we weren't there to hang out in the room. It was also to be expected considering how old the building is.
