The location on the water and the restaurant were both great. The staff were really exceptional. Though I had booked under only my current married name, my credit card had my original married name hyphenated with my current one. When the lady at the desk saw the first married name, she and her desk mate understood I was in town for a celebration of life service and talked to me about how they knew my stepson, and offered condolences. Though I have never lived in Port Hardy, they made me feel very cared for. My mother also felt ill while we were there and she had to change rooms the morning after we arrived. The staff were quick to help with no issue.

The beds were not as comfortable as I've had in hotels, but they were not too bad.

that they where not able to fix the Internet until Monday when the Manager arrived overall it was a minor issue considering the view we hd from our room. one suggestion to the Hotel that is lao running the Restaurant. They should consider to give guest a rebate on the restaurant food bill (food only) as the restaurant options in Port Hardy are limited and that they got the advantage of having the guest on side. about the restaurant , we cn highly recommend the crab cakes, they are sensational

The Glen Lyon provides breakfast and use to put the breakfast voucher in the key card holder on check in. In the morning I asked front desk about this and they said "Only for people who are working". I said I'm here because of work, and the front clerk appeared somewhat reluctant to give out. My co-workers who were also at the hotel were not given vouchers.

The staff were extremely helpful. The view from our room overlooking the water was lovely. The room was spacious and had a balcony.

We had to walk 1-2 kilometres into town for meals because the motel restaurant is closed for renovation at present. We didn’t mind because it’s an interesting walk.

Upon arriving the staff were so friendly and informative. The room was much larger then expected with ocean views throughout. Bed was large and comfortable. Fireplace was soothing. It was extremely comfortable and relaxing! Soaking in the bath while watching the seals and eagles was entertaining. Wrap around balcony on our room.

Ihave no complaints for the hotel. The Cook at the restaurant on site, under different management, was a nightmare. But we will definitely be going back to the hotel and just eat elsewhere.

Nicely updated, spacious rooms and a convenient location to the ferry terminal. Very clean. Comfortable beds. We had a beautiful view of the harbour. The woman at check-in was friendly and very helpful, giving us good travel tips and great restaurant recommendations.

Great place to stay. Beautiful location and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the Bald Eagles fly around. Views of the mountains was beautiful too. Food in dining room was good with another great view! Would stay here again if we return to Port Hardy.

We enjoyed our stay at Glen Lyon Inn. The hotel is right on the water in our room, had a lovely balcony overlooking the inlet. The attached bar and restaurant were convenient and great places for dinner and breakfast.

This is a typical Canadian small community motel - nothing spectacular, but everything you need to sleep for a night is there. The location is about 10 minutes driving time from the ferry terminal. The restaurant officially closes at 20:00, but they were still kind enough to serve us when we arrived maybe 15 minutes before closing time.

The Hot-Tub in our room was lovely, it worked like a charm and we enjoyed our evening. Even though the rooms are older, they are clean and we slept well. The staff was lovely and helpfull
