The place was just perfect for my wife and I who were on a short vacation (without kids) after a long time. We stayed at the Sitka cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and perfectly located right next to a cafe (with great coffee & food) and a <5 min walk from the Renfrew pub (with great beer & food). We loved the vibe of this town, and had a fantastic visit to see the tidal pools at Botanical Beach (our reason to visit) which is just a short drive away. We will certainly come back and will consider staying at this place again. The staff (whom we only met briefly during our stay) were also very friendly and welcoming.
There was really nothing we didn't like.

The property far exceeded our expectations - we stayed in cottonwood cottage and it looked exactly like the pictures. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We loved having the mini kitchen to make our packed lunches and it was great to be able to chill out on the sofa at the end of the day. Nb - some tips - lots of comments say that there is no phone signal. I had good phone signal - I think it was upgraded recently. Also there is a shop in town but it’s limited so would recommend bringing stuff with you - if coming from Victoria along the south route, stop at Sooke. The pub (just a few mins walk away) was great but busy so you might need to wait a while
The shower is a shower curtain type and the lock was a bit fiddly to get the hang of. I also couldn’t get the wifi to work on my phone (my partner’s worked fine). But these were small things and again, we felt we had really good value from the property.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The unit was clean, and the beds were comfy. Toiletries and towels were well supplied. Beautiful location close to several beaches and local points of interest.
We had an older 3 bedroom unit, so it didn’t match the pictures or amenities described on the website. The beds were very good, but there were no dressers or wardrobes in any of the bedrooms to put clothing. The seating in the main area needed replacing.

Everything was fine, very clean and a large room. We really enjoyed Port Renfrew and so the location was convenient. We didn't have much interaction with the staff but when they were there, they were helpful :-).
The kitchenette was missing minimal cooking utensils, there weren't chairs and a table to eat inside even though there was plenty of room. It seemed that they didn't expect you to prepare anything other than breakfast. We did have an outside table but not enough chairs.

Beautiful area, all of Port Renfrew. This place is just up the hill (2-3 minute walk) from the only pub in town so food is easy to come by, and the dock is right there too with some spectacular views! All easily accessible by car.
A bit pricey per night, but it was summer after all... Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained so no complaints really. Beds were a bit too soft for our liking but others may feel differently.

The property was well located, clean, and very spacious (we had the H hunt, which is the biggest). we enjoyed that we had our own bathroom. A lot of people are complaining about the wifi in the reviews, but we found it quite good for such a remote location! People shouldn’t have city’s expectations in a small town like this.
The beds are not the most comfortable and we happened to stay during a heat wave (which we know is not usual for the region) but it was hard to cool the room and we were quite hot during the night. We were also glad to be early birds because lots of people mistaken our hut for the common bathroom and tried to enter using the keypad which would’ve woken us quite early haha it was funny.

Beautiful, quiet location perfect to unplug and explore beautiful beaches and hikes. Cabins are relatively well maintained, freshly painted, new electric fireplaces. Beds are comfortable enough.
Furniture is old and couch springs were broken down. Very sparsely supplied, lacking some necessities.

The cabins we booked were not what I expected. But the staff found us a really nice spot. We were four on a bike tour. Booking. com is not thinking of this-see “how did you arrive.” Bikes are big in Europe and getting more common here. Bike storage matters to us.
The website and communications. The owner of the cabins we booked has a huge supply of rentals at Port Renfrew. These were not obvious to me. I was worried about the cabins I had rented (too small and no amenities). Worries could not be checked because the phone wasn’t answered. On arrival though the really great staff found us perfect accommodation.

The location is very good amidst the jungle nad mountains and its a very quiet place away from any sound pollution. The bed was comfy and everything was maintained properly. Would highly recommned.
The shared washrooms were very clean in the beginning but after people started using it, it actually became quite dirty which I had to clean it myself before using. May be if someone cleans the washroom regularly after few hours, that would be great as those are the shared ones for people living in the hiker huts.

Nice, secluded, clean, warm huts Friendly staff
Should connect walkways from the office and main complex to the upper cabins. Too much of the center is excluded because it is employees only. Ensuring there's a continuous gravel trail to keep customers within bounds and provide visibility to whole area including cool moose antlers would be a nice addition at no extra cost. A designated towel/mat for the bathroom floor would be nice. The chairs on the hut decks are great! Possibly a small table as well. A few hooks in the hut to hang jackets up would be helpful.
