Canadas Best Value Inn-Prince George

This motel has recently been completely renovated since it was built a long time ago. Our room, the lobby and the exterior can not be differentiated from a new motel built from the ground up. The low rates for this quality make staying here a bargain.

There is a design flaw, at least there was in our bathroom. Perhaps other bathrooms are different. The only lights in the bathroom are overhead, and about a meter from the mirror. The result is that your head makes shadows on all of your face if you're close to the mirror applying makeup, It also causes the tub/shower to be quite dark.

The room was clean, and the bed very comfortable. There was no issue with noise from other guests. And, this is close to both highways and shopping, as well as restaurants.

There was no prior notification that the breakfast area was closed. They did provide a "bag breakfast" with fruit, water and a muffin, however. This was nice, but I like a decent breakfast, so I was disappointed at this. Previous visit (pre-Covid), their breakfast options were quite good. Hopefully that comes back.

Great location. Quiet room even though near highway. Very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Good sized room, comfortable bed. Really nice staff. Convenient parking. Offered us a "grab and go" breakfast bag in the morning (bottle of water, nice banana, granola bar, and muffin) as well as coffee, which was complimentary. Good wifi strength. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was good for me as I wanted to get away from down town. Front desk was very helpful and gave me city maps that I requested. Very comfortable bed. Very clean. Very quiet. I was alone alone and felt safe as there is staff on at night. I like the little nook which contains fridge/freezer ,kitchen sink and a small table and chair. Breakfast to go was a muffin, fruit and an oat bar which was adequate for me as I travel with my cereal. There was also a bottle of water although the tap water was good. I was also able to work the T.V. and watch the knowledge channel.

It was all O.K. I would have preferred a room that was not in the corner although it was O.k.

They were so accommodating of last minute hiccups!! I felt so bad but the staff were so amazing!! I couldn’t reccommend this hotel enough. Great staff, good location, the rooms are always exceptionally clean every time we stay there. This place is amazing :)

I had my dog with me and the dog friendly room was great! Our room was ground floor. My bag breakfast was good and filling. I have stayed in two other hotels/Inns in PG and this one was the quietest room yet! It has its own air/heat which does muffle any outside noise! Grass just across the hotel for your pub or walk the neighbourhood like we did!

If I had to pick something it would be that the bathroom fan was separate from the light.

The Kirkland cereal bars tasted awful. Love the choice of fruit. Miss the continental breakfasts you used to have.

A/C unit noisy but worked well.

nice looking and clean I had forgotten my camera charger and battery in my room. the motel had already found it by the time I called and happily mailed it to my home (at cost). great service

upstairs room made it more cumbersome to bring up luggage etc.

Still covid going on so minimal things going on site. They are however appearing to be running regular housekeeping here. I travel 20 days a month and is the first hotel I can remember coming in and my bed made, fresh towels and coffee after my first night. Room is just the right size for one business traveller and bed was comfy. Parked right out front which makes its handy since I carry a lot for these long trips.

The only thing would be the pop machine out out front only takes coins. Went out to use it the first night and could not. Maybe just me but I do not know many people with a pocket full of coins any longer.

Breakfast included does NOT mean you get Breakfast. You get a paper bag with a small bottle of water, a dry muffin, a banana, and a little cereal bar.
