Everything… the superb staff in period costume, in the setting of “la belle époque” (early 1900s), free, full and delicious continental breakfast with specialty coffees, and “cretons”, a corner terrasse overlooking the village which had great views and where you chatted with other guests. Some of these guests were there for four nights, some this was their second or third visit. I could go on and on! Your paid entrance to the Village Historique Acadian was included in the package, along with the breakfast, so the actual room was barely 100$. A bargain at twice the price, I say!

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. It was a little inconvenient that we had to exit our room and go down the hall to our lovely, private bathroom, but that was minor. We knew that when we booked.

Breakfast was buffet style with muffins, cut fresh fruit, breads, cereals, yogurts - and espresso available. :) Room was exceedingly quiet. We were there in mid-June which is not yet high season. We didn't see anyone else staying in the hotel and certainly heard no one though we enjoyed chatting with staff. When breakfast came, we were very surprised there were half a dozen other couples there. We had arrived late afternoon and so only had about an hour to enjoy the open air museum before it closed. (Entrance fee is included in hotel fee.) While the interpreters had left and buildings were closed, we were still able to enjoy walking around the site and enjoying the lovely setting in the evening. In the morning we continued our visit. Very convenient. All staff are in period costume.

There was no restaurant open for supper so we had to drive 10 minutes into town. Perhaps that is different in high season.

When I booked I had no idea of the location. I read the reviews that said it was 9.6 so I thought I could book it as a stop over. But it is not what I wanted. I made a mistake that turned out to be worthwhile. I had not read about the Acadian Village. When we drove to the hotel it was like being in a movie. When we arrived at the chateau it was nothing like I was expecting. I just booked by looking at the room. The bar man who was by the reception was role playing and I got very confused. It sounded like he was a descendant of the Acadians but after a while we realised that it was role playing. I found the place a bit eerie and felt uncomfortable at first. The receptionist told us that they were short staffed because some staff members were sick. I found it odd that she told us. Perhaps it was role playing. We then went for a walk around the village and then I realised what the place was. We were ´eaten´ by mosquitos during our walk. Anyway, when we returned to the room I started relaxing and appreciating the surroundings a bit more. I was very impressed by the pressure of the taps in the bathroom and the flushing of the toilet. Considering how old the place is.

I did not have a side table by the bed and it was extremely unpractical. The furniture was very nice and I would have liked the table that was in our bathroom to have been by my bedside. The airconditioning was very loud.

Loved staying in the Acadian Village. Comfortable bed and fun to soak in the claw foot tub. Lovely terrace to sit on. Even though the breakfast is continental there are lots of choices, fresh biscuits, croissants and fresh fruit. The admission price to tour the Acadian Village is included in the rate.

Be warned that it is a bit of a walk to the hotel from the parking lot. There is a boardwalk and wagons available for luggage.

Best location in the middle of the Villlage Historique Acadien. Old style building, but with all the modern conveniences. Very welcoming staff. Very clean, good beds and bathroom. Good breakfast included.

A bit of a walk from parking lot. Mosquitoes and deer flies early morning and late afternoon. Bring bug spray.

Really enjoyed being in an historic hotel in the midst of Village Historique Acadien’s living museum. Charming accommodations and the claw foot bath was soothing after a warm day’s sunny visit! The continental breakfast was delicious. We will return!

We would have enjoyed hot servings for breakfast; old fashioned porridge with homemade bread from the village kitchens even some good Canadian bacon and eggs.

Nice Hotel. In the middle of an ancient Acadian theme park and the hotel is one of the attractions. Only guests allowed in the hotel but kinda weird. AC is awesome especially during a gruesome heatwave. Bugs were atrocious (heatwave). Breakfast was great including cappucino.

This is a magical property. We had a room on the upper floor, one of the larger ones. It was so beautifully appointed with antique furniture and a beautiful touch of delicious freshly baked cookies. The property is situated directly inside the Historic Acadian Village and you have the feeling of being transported back through time. Because the Village closes and the only building open is the hotel on the property, it is so peaceful and quiet. The staff are all incredibly friendly and provide a warm Acadian welcome. When you visit the Acadian Village (which is included with your stay at the hotel) you must try the Table des Ancêtres restaurant and for sure try the sugar pie. So delicious. The breakfast at the hotel was incredible too and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Freshly baked croissants and cheese biscuits straight from the oven. The terrasse on the second floor is a wonderful place to relax. The hotel mentioned they are thinking of introducing an afternoon tea next year and I would be so excited to return for that.

The pillows were like a cloud 💕 The employés were so welcoming and helpful. Food was perfect. My kids loved their stay - I was a happy mom. It was my 4th time at the same place... and I will go again ! Many many times.

Everything was perfect - absolutely no complaints

The location within the Village Historique Acadien is incredible, the period-accurate room is fun though it has its quirks, the breakfast was an excellent continental with great variety of fresh fruit and delicious baked goods, and the stay includes your admission and parking. Fabulous.
