I have always wanted to stay in this bed-and-breakfast when I have gone to Mahone Bay in the past. I had a fantastic experience there and Val the owner and head breakfast chef was an absolutely lovely person and made the most incredible breakfasts. I would go back in a heartbeat! From check-in to check out everything went smoothly. I felt like I was in a spa. The decoration was very modern and of course with a touch of old because the house was built in the 1840s. My room was cosy and comfortable and there is even a diffuser for the hairdryer and a flat iron for hair! These women know what we need! Most highly recommend Mahone Bay bed-and-breakfast.❤️

I would highly recommend this place! Everything was beyond excellent! The only thing for me was the bed; I found it too firm and did not sleep much. But, I realize that is something you could never please everyone with. I loved all of the pillows and the many personal touches to the house and individual rooms. The owner helped to carry a fresh pot of wonderful coffee up the stairs to my room; she was so personable and took time to chat with me. I just wish I could have stayed another night. 5 * thumbs up 👍

The firmness of the mattress and the steps

This charming property in the heart of Mahone Bay is owned and operated by a wonderful couple who take great pride in their business and will do all they can to ensure you have a great stay. The house is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. It looks like a museum but it’s cosy and comfortable. Everything you need is provided, including free parking and bottled water. The breakfast is the best I’ve had at a B&B and includes freshly made muffins, fruit and a main course. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place if you’re making your base in Mahone Bay for a few nights.

The check-in, from 4 pm - 6 pm is very restrictive so we had to make our plans around that. Like many hotels, there is no room cleaning during your stay. There is no recycling bin in the room.

I booked a two night stay here as the rooms looked lovely and they promised me a bath. This place is in a beautiful house the owners take a lot of pride in. They make you feel very welcome. The bathroom was well stocked and the shower was hot with a bath. The room had a lovely air conditioner and it was cool on arrival. The bed was fantastic. I had booked for two nights but ended up getting there for only one and leaving very early for a ferry - so I missed out on relaxing in the lovely lounge area and breakfast in the morning which looked great. I cancelled last minute one night and was not due a refund based on policy - BUT the owners ended up without me asking only charging me for one night - which was such a lovely thing to do.

Nothing really - the house was gorgeous, the room lovely, the service very personal and the location perfect.

Beautiful decor .. breakfast was excellent! .. my husband is diabetic the breakfast did accommodate his needs .. enjoyed the cookies and muffins left for myself upon arrival. Our meal at Rebecca's across the bay was great! A lovely stay ..

Air conditioning was in the window which was quite loud for a small room .. however still appreciated for such hot temperatures

Great food and house

They require you to give your credit card cvv#. No other booking.com place makes you disclose it. It is a huge safety issue as it is the last line in defense. Had to get a new cc # after staying here.

The breakfast was amazing! Everything was delicious and generous. The chocolate cookies and lemon muffins were super delicious! hope to return again in the near future

The stairway to get to my room could be challenging if I had a large suitcase. Help with suitcases up and down the stairway would have been helpful.

Very friendly and personable staff. Beautiful, historic home. Best sleep on our trip! The breakfast was unique, lots of good choices and delicious, wonderful presentation. Free homemade snacks and the best coffee!!

Air conditioner was appreciated, but a little loud. Had ear plugs so all good!

Great historic building right in the middle of Mahone Bay. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Very well renovated. Breakfast was great. Only slight downside is that suite 3 had to be the smallest room I've ever stayed in but the bed was comfortable.

good location

We wanted to watch something on ATV or Global News but it was so complicated to get the channel we gave up.Instructions came on the screen but we couldn’t figure it out.I guess we never ran across that set up before in our travels.
