This resort is as real find! It takes two ferries to get to it as it is two islands off the mainland. There is no internet and the rooms don't have TV's, but they are very clean, comfortable and spacious...and virtually all have an ocean view. The staff are excellent. There is an on-site restaurant (different owners) that serve incredible scratch cooked food using mostly local and property raised ingredients. Our meals were top notch. Over-all we loved our stay and will likely return again one day. If you are looking for posh, this ain't it...but of you are looking for East Coast island charm, this it it!

When we to pay the bill, the debit machine had a tip screen that I was not able to by-pass. Other than handing a key to us we did not require any other service from staff...this is a great resort, but not cheap, so why was I obligated to leave a tip? I found it to be distasteful for them to expect further payment...or even to ask. That is my only complaint. The resort is basic, but packed full of back-island charm. We'd go again!

Location was fantastic, staff were wonderful, beds were very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge, something we were not expecting when we booked it, great move. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Fab stay all round.

Unfortunately the walls were very thin and we were kept awake by a young family who arrived around 2100hrs and continued to allow their children to cause a disturbance for nearly 2 hours, resulting in my having to get up and have words with them.

We had three rooms for a group of 7. Two were in building 1 which is an older building, smaller rooms however had a lovely patio area with chairs. The third was in building 3 which had larger rooms and was more modern but view only, no outdoor area. We noted that building 2 appeared to be newer again, with balcony/patio and heat pumps. Staff on site were very helpful and friendly; dining room meals were tasty and service was good.

Coffee makers in two rooms didn't work.

Location is lovely on the hilltop overlooking the waters between Brier and Long Island. We had both supper and then breakfast in the dining room. We found the food was good - a bit disappointing as our stay in 2021 - the food was exceptional. But the dining room is spacious and has amazing views. We loved the arrangement of Adirondack chairs outside of the dining room and enjoyed the beautiful late afternoon with a glass of our own wine and chatting with other guests. The views are stunning! Staff are always friendly and we love our trek to Brier Island to go Whale Watching.

We enjoyed the rustic style of the room although some might find it too simple. We have not been in the newer building - maybe next year.

Great location for pre- or post-whale watching. The restaurant was handy and served good meals. My room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy!

There were a lot of noises from the pipes and people in the hallways, but there was not a sound after about 9 in the evening. It wasn't an issue for me, but there are no TVs in the rooms

The upgraded room was excellent with a balcony and view of the water when it's not foggy. The restaurant had very good food.

The room we had booked did not have air conditioning and we did not realize that. Thankfully, they were able to upgrade us for an additional $100 to a second story room with air conditioning.

The room's are pretty basic but clean and comfortable. (I'm always happy when there's a bathtub and not just a shower!) We loved the Brier Island map and murals in the hall and the whale bones in the lobby. The view is spectacular, as is the food. The vegetables are organic and grown in a green house on site. It's a great place. We'd definitely recommend it!

The location was great, close to the ferry and lovely views. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff and food were excellent!

The furnishings were mismatched and the sitting room had no furniture except an unusually tiny "loveseat"...no lamp, tables, etc. The noise from the adjoining kitchenette was very loud.

Location was fab, staff were lovely.

We were in a block of rooms that are on the “to be renovated list”. The block next door had been done really nicely, that being said we weren’t expecting any sort of renovations so the room we got matched our expectations, no TV was actually a nice experience, it was so peaceful

Location was prime for the whale watching cruises. Having a restaurant onsite was good

The building where we stayed is showing its age and could use an update from its original 70s style. There was a dresser in the room that had not been dusted in a very long time. Sound proofing is poor.
