This place is amazing and the hosts are great. All the rooms are beautifully decorated & comfortable. All the rooms have their own showers.The hosts Lynn & Eric are super nice.The breakfasts are very good & healthy. The location is perfect, steps away from everything. Just down the street is a Metro grocery store & a pharmacy & many good restaurants.The house is located on a quiet street, so very peaceful & perfect for sleeping. Me & my wife rate it a 10/10.👍💯😃😃

The hosts (Eric and Lin) were truly wonderful at this lovely B&B! The breakfast was outstanding (and fortifying for outdoor activities) with delicious Canadian specialties served daily. The rooms were large and SPOTLESS, with very comfortable beds, duvées and linens making a welcoming retreat at the end of the day. Attention to lots of little details add up in a big way - Lin served us tea after our days out and about which was so appreciated! We were also given special rebate tourist cards that gave us 10-20% discounts at restaurants and shops!

I cannot imagine any improvement! Lin even went out of her way to provide us with some healthy snacks for our return journey to the States!

Lyn was an exceptional host who prepared a "custom" breakfast that met our dietary needs (we're vegan). She offered helpful advice on how to get to lakefront (very close to the B and B) and restaurants in Magog that would meet our needs. The room was comfortable and spacious and featured a balcony that overlooked the backyard.

The hot tub was out of temporarily out of commission, but we were able to enjoy the ambiance of the back yard, which was peaceful despite being two blocks away from the main street of town.

Everything about this property is amazing! Our 2nd floor room was roomy, bright & quiet. The location is a short distance to grocery, good restaurants & walks along the lake. The highlight though are the amazing Host’s Eric & Lyn! An immediate warm welcome into their home and on into our 5 night stay, became much more personal on many levels. Every morning was a delightful surprise with Lyn’s photo worthy “3 & 4 course healthy breakfasts”, even a latte with an offering of more! After our 5 week vacation this B&B was our favourite on so many levels.

The breakfast was amazing! Lynn makes all her own food and the choices were multiple. wonderful crepes - both sweet and salty, lots of fresh fruit and several courses if wished. All tastefully presented.

Beautiful accommodations. Great location! The B&B hosts were the best. They were meticulous, gracious, and thoughtful. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was spotless, and cleaned to perfection every day. Our long weekend in Magog for a wedding was great from arrival to departure, even more so because of our stay at A L’Ancestrale B&B.

We had a VERY pleasant stay at the À L’Ancestrale B&B. The house (centrally located but on a quiet street) is cozy and nicely decorated; it has a well preserved atmosphere of the times gone by. The hosts, including their talented sons, are exceptionally friendly, helpful, generous and very interesting! The breakfasts during our stay were delicious, with a variety of fruits, home made dishes, fantastic bread, granolas, and good coffee, offered to us - crazy coffee drinkers, several times a day!

We truly liked everything, particularly the conversations with our hosts!

I went with my mother for Mother's Day weekend. Everything was wonderful. The place is beautiful, and must be even more beautiful mid-summer. Lyn and Eric, and their boys, were very kind and accommodating. The food was great, the location was great. We loved our stay.

The B and B was very close to downtown and the waterfront and bike paths. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. Its centrally located to several small villages, such as Bromont, Waterloo and North Hatley. We stayed three nights.

Great location. Very reasonably priced. Lovely house. Large, well appointed rooms. Wonderful hospitality. Delicious breakfast too. Bonus… There’s even an EV charger. Quiet neighborhood, just a block or two away from restaurants and shopping in Magog.
