The building was remarkable. It was developed in a way that kept the character of its age yet it was a fully functioning Inn with the expected amenities. The staff were just absolutely charming, making every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Both the night and day s.hift people did double duty as hotel desk clerks and restaurant servers and they did so without any difficulty

Our dinner meal was delicious beyond words and so perfectly prepared. The breakfast was just a step less so, it was delicious but not served as hot as our evening meal. The order was perfectly filled but the preparation paled a little especially compared to the evening meal.

Did not have breakfast there. It was wonderful to have a delicious supper on the Terrace of Maison Rousseau and to enjoy the musical entertainment provided. My room was beautiful, although many stairs to reach it.

I had not realized I would be walking up to the 3rd floor for my room - so when I found out, I chose to bring in just my basic clothing etc so I wouldn't have to haul my suitcase up the stairs.

This delightful accommodation is perfectly situated to enjoy Montmagny. Easy walking distance to all local amenities. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. We were in a 2nd floor (walk up) room that oozed character and warmth. We felt welcomed from the start and the staff and servers are a wealth of local information. The breakfast (included) was amazing too! We enjoyed ours in the open courtyard, and loved the assortment of local items and flavors. Our only regret is that we stayed only one night. This accommodation and village merits at least 2 days! We didn’t dine at the Maison Rousseau but the restaurant looks amazing and we will enjoy on our next visit!

We stayed twice , the first time was nice ,June 6 , a very quit room the second time June 22 was noisy as there was a balcony at the back and some noisy guests partied out there keeping us awake , Pier was excellent, helped us with getting our bikes in and out of shed and with a nice takeout breakfast

Our dinner wasn’t very good , our waitresses were very inattentive, we had to call them over to get wine and to put our dinner order in, we ordered medium rare steaks my wife had to send hers back because it was med. well, mine was the 8 ounce and it was med rare but it was full of gristle, and I could only eat half , the rest was inedible , which isn’t good when you’re paying $48.00, so our dinner experience was poor .

The hotel was as advertised. It met my expectations and it was a great stay. The restaurant and the food was excellent. I did not speak much French but managed with google translate. The staff were helpful.

I wish I got the rooms in the lower level of the hotel. The stairs were steep to the upper level. Not a big deal but gets a little difficult when carrying luggage.

Felt at home from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by Camille (Cami) who checked us in and made sure we found our room. She was also our server at dinner and thankfully her English was great as our French was not. She made sure we had everything we needed. The dining room is lovely and the food was excellent. Even though it was busy, the service was quick. Our room was clean and well appointed. The building is very beautiful.

The location is perfect and the attic room was full of character. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio or food.

The mattress certainly could be better and some simple maintenance would elevate the place to another level. The room was a bit too dark and smelled a bit musty.

Very intimate setting, rustic and intricate decor, our room was a family room that actually served as a double room with an inside connecting door. We had two bathrooms and two showers that were very convenient to get ready for our day and the children loved the connecting feature because they felt like they had their very own room to themselves

The building was quaint. The dinner was awesome. The room was clean.

Room initially assigned was the smallest room in the place. Finally agreed to give us a different room., which was larger and on the second floor instead of the third floor under the slanted roof. The restaurant served a variety of meals, however the menu was only in French. The music from the restaurant played late into the evening. The GPS couldn't find the building.

The building and rooms have an incredible authenticity. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance within the room, and although the shower is compact, it's a relief to have one available

The restaurant menu is not clear. I overpaid for the tartares. The room was dark, should have more lights in the main area.
