Comfort Inn & Suites Shawinigan

The location was at a nice junction between South Shawinigan and Shawinigan proper, including walkable distances to nice panoramic scenery; even faster by car since it's near the highway. Though we were late for breakfast, the kitchen staff was courteous and generous by inviting us pack toast, yogurt and fruit for the road!

It was a bummer that there was no potable water (it was a widespread problem in the municipality) however the staff showed us the water cooler to fill up our bottles.

Didn’t realise breakfast was included so that was a very nice surprise and everyone who slept in the beds said they were very comfortable.

The sofa bed was quite bumpy and deformed so that it sagged significantly from the chest down. Also a lot of us didn’t like that all the breakfast plates and cutlery was single use, disposable.

Overall, the place was clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and functional. The fridge was among the least noisy we've encountered! The staff at the reception desk were friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was a bit overcrowded at the time of our stay so we decided to have breakfast outside (there are several benches and outdoors tables near by with nice views). Ample parking and easy of access from the main road. Several nice walking/biking paths nearby to get you to downtown Shawinigan (around 2 km away).

The carpet was stained and it did seem it could've been vacuumed better. The curtains and the armchairs were also not very clean but the bedding was spotless. There were some already used Q-tips in the bathroom garbage can and we left a note for the cleaning person about it.

Location was great, lots of parking. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast area was tidy and food itself was tasty and sufficient. Absolutely will stay here again when I’m back in Shawinigan. Felt very safe as a solo female motorcyclist.

The AC unit made a weird whirring noise which made it hard to get to sleep initially. Room 220.

Easy access from main road but property is very quiet. Large parking lot. A few hundred feet away is a beautiful deck with a superb sunset view of the river. The hotel in general is very clean. No elevators but top floor is only one flight up. King room is very spacious, bed is comfy. Room seems to of been refurbished a few years ago. I would say choices are either a room view of trees or a parking lot. I would stay again for an overnighted. Breakfast looked fine but did not stay for it.

Room was very clean and well appointed. The free continental breakfast and the three free EV charge stations were a very welcome bonus.

The only negative thing was that where my room was located at the end of the hallway some type of noise like an automatic air compressor would make a quite audible noise every 20 minutes or so.

Breakfast included. Clean rooms. Comfy bed. Blackout curtains. Microwave and fridge in the room. Location. Free parking.

There was a high pitch noise that was there on and off. I think coming from the fridge or air conditioning. I wish the shampoo and soap was cruelty free and natural. TV could be bigger and more modern. Vegan and gluten-free options for breakfast.

Lovely location! Staff were really great and the room and beds comfy. The little lookout right beside the hotel was a bonus as was the proximity to great walking and biking trails. Just a note that the 'whirlpool' tub is a 'bubble tub'. In other words, there aren't jets.

The breakfast was very good, considering the COVID restrictions in place on the premises. The serving lady was very helpful, friendly and polite. We're planning to return later in the Summer.

Nothing really; considering the restrictions imposed by the government, we felt very comfortable and safe in and around the premises.

Good breakfast, Tesla charging station. Mustafa helped us tremendously!

Hall carpet stains. A fair distance to town center.
