the room was nice

the listing is misleading. it uses the word Inn in the title. I expected a hotel/inn. what I found was a property management business and I checked in at one place and went 4-5 blocks to stay in another building. the listing also mentioned a 24 hour manned desk. there is a phone outside the first building, which is the managers apt. finally I expected a room as the pictures show. what I got was a bed room in a 2 bedroom apartment where each bedroom is rented and the rest of the unit is common space.

I arrived much later than I expected. Checking in at 530 AM. The Manager/Owner was easy to contact on my late arrival and due to the timing, he upgraded me to one of his new locations (other than where I had booked). It was just 2 streets away. The upgraded place was brand new and he let me stay in this for my entire stay at no extra charge. The place itself was perfect for my needs. A brand new condo/style building. Upon entry there is large shared common area for sitting, kitchen, dining and laundry facilities. Rooms are separated for guests with each having their own bathroom and locking doors. All so clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. It's in a great quiet location, still within short walk or drive to downtown area. Manager/Owner was super friendly and provided all that was advertised on booking site and more. I was thankful the Manager/Owner was able to accommodate my needs with such a late arrival and then my request to add an additional night to my pre-booked time. I had a wonderful stay at this facility.

Nothing, it was perfect.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently within walking distance to most everything in town. It was also very quiet and the host was friendly. What I didn't realize when I booked was that it's not actually a hotel, it's more like a furnished condo or apartment and you rent out a private bedroom/bathroom in the condo. There are keyed locks on each bedroom door and you're welcome to use the kitchen and common areas. It was great to rent with friends and we all had our our rooms. I think if I had been a single female traveling alone I would have potentially felt uncomfortable if any of the other guests were sketchy. Honestly though, I never even saw any of the other guests other than my traveling companions.

I loved the casual but secure come and go feeling of the place: more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. There's a lovely lounge, dining room, laundry, and kitchen for making yourself at home. Coffee and tea are provided as well as all the dishes, utensils, and pots and pans you need. Beds are very comfortable and room temperature is adjustable. Everything was super clean too. The location is great too with an Independent supermarket a 4 min walk away plus lots of restaurants within walking distance.

There was nothing to dislike.

We stayed here twice, once at the start of our journey (see our prior review), and again 8-9 days later at the end. We rated this facility highly after the first stay, and it did not disappoint the second time - the perfect way to end our vacation in the North Country. The host Yong is attentive to details, helpful, and efficient. The room is modern, fully equipped with everything you might need, and in a good location, in easy walking distance to downtown Whitehorse. An excellent choice if you ever visit this part of the world.

Everything was great.

Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful, especially for assistance and departure arrangements for my sister's flight after check-out. Also, a common space with fridge/freezer/full kitchen was appreciated.

Could not get cable television to work (but possibly due to bandwidth issue, older model modem/remotes, or operator error :) Not a problem as we chose a different activitiy.

Midnight sun inn was an excellent place to stay in Whitehorse. It provided the best value we could find in Whitehorse and is located in a very convenient central location. Anson, the owner, was courteous, easily accessible by telephone throughout the day, and made sure we were provided everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would recommend for any travellers who need a place to rest for a few nights in Whitehorse.

The owner of the hotel is very helpful. He tries to make your stay pleasurable by making accommodations for your needs and by giving you tips about visiting Whitehorse.

Some changes were made to my booking and I learned them during check in. That made me concerned. İf they were communicated to me in advance I would be less worried. İn the end, those changes worked great for me.

The place was a nice private room, bath with TV, internet, yet you had opportunity to utilize a full kitchen, living area which would be shared with other guests. There was a washer,/ dryer ensuite for 2 loonies each... laundry detergent included. Location was convenient but everything in Whitehorse is close.

Lovely stay! Not a typical hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable with well thought out facilities, good lighting, very comfortable beds and windows that open! A guest lounge on the floor had a kitchen and laundry for guest use. Guest room, bathroom and all the public areas were spotless.
