This is a charming small hotel decorated in attractive traditional motifs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in all respects. There is a popular restaurant on-site located in a leafy courtyard. Guests are given discount vouchers for the restaurant as well as a small basket of local snacks. We are grateful to the staff for helping us with directions, getting tickets to the Sichuan Opera, and booking taxis. They persisted with language difficulties to understand our questions and provide answers. We were able to get late check-out for a very reasonable additional fee.

There is nothing we did not like.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Wenjun, where we stayed for 9 days. Frank and his team were simply amazing! We are so grateful to him but also to the receptionist and waiters. They all made us feel welcome. Frank supported us with all kind of matters from recommending places to booking taxis, looking for the best options for our one-day excursions, and even buying cards online for my son. His English is wonderful and he understand clients as guests that he tries to make feel at home. The location is truly unbeatable, as it is near many touristic attractions (walking distance to some such as the Sichuan Opera or Kuanzhai Alley, just one MRT station away from others, such as People's Park, or two form Tianfu Square). It is super well-connected with plenty of buses going to People's Park and Tianfu Square. Amazing dining options in the surroundings as well as neabry parks, the river ... An last but not least, the facilities are super beautiful (Chinese style with courtyard, nice outdoor dining tables where you have the option to have lunch and dinner as well breakfast and try Sichuan typical dishes), which helped us experience a truly Chinese atmosphere. Can't be any happier, as you can read :)

The property has an excellent location, with many attractions within a short walking distance, or a short taxi ride. The metro is also nearby, as are convenience stores, restaurants and foot massage shops. (Yes, I like to have a good foot massage after walking for hours.) The style of the the hotel is very traditional, which adds a certain something when visiting an historic city, the rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant on site has great food. Unfortunately, I can’t eat the spicier local cuisine due to stomach issues, but the selection was still ample. The staff were lovely, and very thoughtful. I will be using this hotel again!

There isn’t an elevator, so be prepared to use the stairs a lot.

Very good location right next to metro and close to many shops and bistros, super friendly staff, free laundry service, free hot milk service before sleeping, good restaurant in da house, spaceous rooms with nice design, nice traditional design of the hotel, welcome package with fruit.

There was a bit noise from the street and the restaurant, which is not very good if you need to go to sleep early. Hotels in China usually dont have sound isolation. There is no lift, but it was not problem for us as floors are short and they took our luggages upstairs.

The staff were very freindly and went extra miles to help. They have washed our cloth for free by using their own app, when I hadn't set up wechat to operate the washing machine. They always greet us with smile as they knew us personally. The location is great, just minutes to the metro station and short walking distance to Kuanzai xiangzi and local eatery street, Xi'an lu. There are 2 parks on the same street, great for walk after dinner. The hotel building and along the whole street are in tranditional chinese style, it also has a restaurant on the ground floor, giving more feeling as a family hotel. If you have stayed lots of business style hotel, this is really a good change. The bed is confortable and clean and rooms are bigger with Chinese decoration.

If you are sensitive to noice, better to choose 4th floor.

I booked a one night stay between my flights from Hong Kong to Dali. As I didn’t want to stay in an airport hotel, I booked here to enjoy a little bit of the city. The location is great to explore the Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley, or go to the Qingyang Palace. The airport shuttle service was on point, the room was very clean with a good bathroom, the staff was very helpful (although their English was not so good, but via translation tools and communication via wechat it works out fine). I didn’t had diner here but the breakfast was good. They serve a few Chinese dishes but also toast with eggs. For me it was a great stay and would book here again.

I got a room on the 2nd floor which is right above the terrace. I had no problems with the noise, but for light sleepers I would recommend a room on the 4th floor.

Lovely Chinese style hotel, located on a beautiful traditional street, which seemed unique in Chengdu. Staff all very friendly and always willing to assist, with particular thanks to Frank the manager. Good food at the restaurant located in the delightful courtyard. Comfortable rooms. Great location in the heart of the city centre, easy walking distance to various prime tourist attractions such as the Chinese Opera House and Narrow and Wide Alleys. Would definitely recommend.

The location is very beautiful and the staff speaks English. Our flight was canceled and we had to change our plans so that instead of 2 nights we stayed only one night at this hotel and they were very kind to change our reservation! They helped us with everything we needed. We felt sorry that we could not stay at least 3 nights here! If we come back to Chengdu, we will definitely come to you! Thank you!

The location is perfect. I could walk 15min and I was in a famous mal street. The room was nice. The only thing was the other gust's child who was shouting and talking in the middle of the night. The breakfast was fine. The guy who is working there surprisingly speaks good English.

I liked everything. There are staires and not elevator, if you think to take heavy baggages.

The staff is so helpful and kind, they will always find solutions and have attention to details. They all speak English and this is really convenient. The atmosphere of the hotel is exactly what I was looking for. The localisation of the hotel is perfect, close to points of interest and to subway for instance. I definitely recommend!
