This is a charming small hotel decorated in attractive traditional motifs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in all respects. There is a popular restaurant on-site located in a leafy courtyard. Guests are given discount vouchers for the restaurant as well as a small basket of local snacks. We are grateful to the staff for helping us with directions, getting tickets to the Sichuan Opera, and booking taxis. They persisted with language difficulties to understand our questions and provide answers. We were able to get late check-out for a very reasonable additional fee.

There is nothing we did not like.

From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. It was our first time in China and the team at reception helped us to work out Alipay, Didi and maps, so we were ready to go!! The whole team, Frank, Kimberly, Joey, Belle and Zoey, were all so helpful, from showing us apps, giving local restaurant recommendations, providing tea and coffee to organising cars and trips, staying at Wenjun made our trip very enjoyable! The hotel is only a few minutes walk from a metro station, so we could get around really easily and safely, and there were also plenty of restaurants nearby (including a very nice one onsite!) if we didn't want to go too far. Bed was very comfy, shower was great, room was cleaned everyday to a high standard. We even got a Christmas present on 24th December :-)

The hotel is situated on Qintai Road, which exudes an antique charm, particularly enchanting at night. The quaint courtyard also serves as the hotel’s outdoor dining area. Sitting here to enjoy a variety of dishes is an especially relaxing experience. In addition to standard industry services, the hotel offers thoughtful extras, such as complimentary laundry service and milk before bed - services rarely found in other hotels. I stayed here for a week and truly felt at home. When it came time to leave, I found myself reluctant to go and took the opportunity to personally thank the hotel staff I met, namely Siri, Frank, Kimberley and Zoey.

Lovely hotel located in a traditional building and in walking distance to the opera. The hotel staff was very welcoming and absolutely fantastic, helping me with every question I had, both at the reception and over WeChat. Traveling in China can be challenging and they went above and beyond to make it less stressful and easier to navigate. I seriously can’t stress enough how great the staff is! The room was very big and clean, and there was a small table with chairs that shows towards the patio outside.

The breakfast buffet was catered towards Chinese guests and there were not many western options. I usually wouldn’t have minded too much, but as I was in Chengdu to run a marathon I was a bit more picky and less adventurous food wise :) There were several vegetarian Chinese food options for breakfast as well as non-vegetarian ones.

Great location. Super helpful staff who spoke good English and who all went out of their way to assist us- even getting stamps and posting cards. Very professional in every way-Frank was friendly and gave good advice on trips etc. Kimberly was always ready to give advice and suggestions and Zoe was similarly helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and felt really safe. Breakfast was varied with good choice of Western and Chinese food. Overall probably the best hotel I have stayed at for many years. Thant you all for making the stay so memorable.

There is nothing to say here

This hotel is well maintained, has a great location (the street is beautiful, and also fairly close to the city center, and a metro station), and spacious rooms (it is not easy to find a big enough room for a family of 5). Food is also good, both for breakfast and in the restaurant for lunch or dinner (a lot of locals eat there, and the restaurant deservingly has a high rating on Dianping and Baidu Ditu). However, the main plus for us who still didn’t master Chinese language is the fact that stuff here speaks very good English. And I must emphasize the importance of that for all of you who are visiting this beautiful civilization state for the first time, and you do not know the language. The stuff is very accommodating and knowledgeable, and they can help you do anything: from organizing your visits to tourist attractions and getting local SIM card, to giving useful advises and suggestions, or ordering something for you from the Internet.

We enjoyed our stay! It was in a good location - a stone's throw away from Chengdu Culture Park, Shufengya Yun, Tonghuimen Metro Station etc. The staff spoke perfect English and were always happy to help. Frank, the manager, kindly gave us complementary wine and recommended us places to go. The staff were also extremely helpful - shoutout to Belle, Kimberley, and Zoey. The breakfast buffet was good albeit more on the heavy side as most of the dishes were a bit too oily.

Nothing much, except that the rooms should have better soundproofing and more windows to allow for natural lighting to come in.

Everything in the hotel is as shown in the photos. The entire staff is amiable and helpful. From the beginning, we exchanged many messages via booking. Frank and Joey always responded promptly. We booked tickets for the opera and tours with them. They always provided us with a shuttle service to and from the airport and a taxi in the city. The breakfast was always delicious. The room service was excellent. The hotel has a trendy and highly regarded restaurant. The location is great. The hotel is on one of the most charming and characteristic streets in Chengdu. We stayed there for eight days. And during those eight days, everything was very good!

We can't complain about anything. Since it's an entirely different culture, we went in with an open mind to learn and experience it. We enjoyed a little of everything with respect and learning from the differences.

The staff are superb; especially Kimberly and Frank, always going the extra mile to look after us. They are very approachable, very friendly, very helpful and always make us feel at home. The staff helped us booked some tours too. On top of that, whenever i ask for directions to some places, they will send me the map directions via wechat. Frank and Kimberly are also very knowledgeable when i asked them regarding feedback/insights on some places i wanna visit. I had an episode of fish bone piercing into my gum in between my molar teeth - Kimberly was very concerned and wanted me to go to the nearest hospital but i decided to go to the dental clinic the next day instead since it is late already - the next day, the staff (another 2 persons at the reception) helped me contact the nearest dental clinic for an appointment to extract the fish bone out. The staff from reception, to kitchen, to breakfast area, to luggage handling uncle are always very pleasant and happy to help; thus making our stay a very memorable and beautiful experience. There are also free afternoon tea and laundry service provided. The service was so excellent that i decided to stay one more night at this hotel instead of moving to the airport hotel to catch an early flight - after Frank told me to consider staying one more night with them. I even took cooking lessons with my daughter at this hotel with the chef teaching us how to cook 3 dishes. I am looking at coming back to Chengdu next time with my parents and would definitely stay here again. Awesome work guys! Keep up the great job!

Minor issues - Toilet has no proper holder, room a bit dated but clean. The complimentary transfer upon our arrival had some issues as there was no prior clear instructions given so we were quite lost upon arriving at train station - but it was all properly resolved by Frank after i called the hotel.

By far, one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Frank, Zoey, and Kimberley were incredibly friendly and helpful, and all the staff at the hotel were attentive, consistently going above and beyond to assist. During my stay, I fell ill, and the team offered exceptional support and care, making me feel valued not just as a guest, but as someone they genuinely cared about. The room itself was cozy and spotless, providing a perfect retreat. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for outstanding service and a comfortable stay. Will definitely come back for my next visit to Chengdu!
